Haeleigh Hyatt

Haeleigh has been working with dogs since 2007, when she took a job at a kennel while in college. Shortly after, she signed up for a dog agility class, which launched her head-first into the world of dog training and dog sports. In 2011, she graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in zoology, with a focus on animal behavior and learning theory.

Enjoying time spent with her dogs, Haeleigh has pursued various activities with them, including but not limited to: agility, dock diving, freestyle flying disc, and tricks. A sport which combines athleticism, strategy, and creativity, freestyle flying disc soon became one of Haeleigh’s favorites activities—and it shows. She is a world-class exhibitor in the sport, has received numerous awards and invitations to elite competitions over the years, and has been quoted in features on the subject.

In 2015, she was presented with the unique opportunity to make her passion her profession. With the help and support of her friends and family, she has built a career showcasing her dogs’ talents at fairs, sporting events, theme parks, and various public and private events across the US. As the founder of Aim High Canines, Haeleigh has appeared with her dogs on numerous local and national television programs, including a doggie-date on ABC’s The Bachelor. When she is not performing, Haeleigh teaches disc and trick workshops to dog owners, helping every dog reach their full potential.

Haeleigh lives in New Hampshire and shares her life with six dogs—a Shih Tzu mix, an Australian Shepherd, three Border Collies, and a Belgian Malinois. While she is not working with dogs, she enjoys hiking, tending to her orchid collection, and keeping ornamental shrimp.

Of Haeleigh’s dogs, Fflash (this is not a typo—his name is spelled with two Fs) is the dog you see in our product video. He is a three-year-old border collie who is one of Haeleigh’s best trick dogs. He was born with a soft palate deformity, and almost died when he was only a few hours old. Luckily for him (and for Haeleigh), he as defied the odds and is thriving. He loves playing frisbee, jumping rope, and giving kisses.
