Cole is an AKC shepherd we adopted him at 18 mths old.Previously he had limited exercise time.We have 2 acres in Hawaii,on the Big Island,we are on the edge of the rain forest. We have had the collar for about three months and we love it.Cole is now staying within his fence or right at his fence boundaries.
Cell phone service is sketchy and skies are often overcast but for the most part we are able to track his activity with the ap,even when I went to the store about 5 miles from home.
Customer service by phone is excellent. We were able to replace a lost prong and change the collar size with no difficulty.
Money well spent.

Collar works great. Our lab can run free on our 2 acres without me having to baby sit him. Customer service is A+. A week after owning the collar our lab slipped it and chewed it to pieces. I reached out to SpotOn as I was devastated. Even though it clearly states in their warranty policy that "chewing" is not covered under the warranty they went above and beyond by sending us a replacement at no cost. I can't guarantee they will do that for everyone, but they sure took care of us! Thanks again!

There are so many things I love about it! I really wish if once your dog escaped, you could push a button to warn them to return (buy a tone or vibration, or a momentary shock).
Janet W.
Love the collar. The only thing I would like to see improve is the way the clasp is on. When my two dogs play, they are able to get the clasp to unhook from the collar.

Using SpotOn collars on all (3) of my dogs. I am very happy about the performance of the collars.
I am pleased about the recent addition of e-collar features and have used them to train my dogs to stay relatively close to me while walking on trails.
The recent upgrade to the app features a very nice upgrade to the app functionality by enabling a quicker way to navigate between collars when using multiple collars.
Unfortunately, I am experiencing some glitches in the app especially in this new mode. The app freezes and is unresponsive until I close it down completely. When I reopen it it will tend to work more robustly but the freezing behavior seems to be kind of random. The app also does not respond when I try to view notifications in the upper right corner.
I am using an IPhone 14 Pro with latest system.
With the last app upgrade the Beta version of the E-Collar features were lost and it is my understanding that they will be replaced very soon. I am very eager to see this so I can restart the trail walking training and hopefully get my dogs back on track in time for some hikes to see the fall colors.
Overall, I love the collars and the app and realize the improvements and developments take time to mature.

Milo is a 2-year-old German Shorthair Pointer with endless energy. He loves the SpotOn collar. When he sees it in our hands he jumps for joy.
We had the luxury of using a collar with handheld correction and some horse fence line areas to define boundaries before the SpotOn collar arrived. The transition was seamless.
Handsfree allows Milo to chase birds to his hearts content while we relax and enjoy the show.
Thank you.

Just an update on my purchase.
Here’s what freedom looks like for my dogs.
Thanks SpotOn
Sandy K.
Best money spent! Grace loves to run but has no concept of traffic. She used to stand in the road and was even taken by a concerned motorist. Thankfully I found her!
Now she is able to roam 20 acres, stays within the boundaries, no static correction even just the vibrate function. My stress level is so much lower and she has her freedom to run. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Oh, when I need a break from work I track her to see what she is doing. Makes me smile.
Marci P.
Super easy to set up and user friendly in the app. It works well with my dog who has adjusted to the many queues. The only gripe I have is that I have to log into the app each and every time I put on the collar. Face ID would be helpful also.
Lisa A.
Best investment ever, I live on a lake surround by woods, spot on collar works great, my lab puppy Millie can enjoy her freedom and I don't have to worry about her!
Gregg V.
I had the Halo collar before Spot On. I had a lot of issues that customer service would fix and then they would reoccur. Spot On seems to be flawless so far (2weeks). I’m still playing with the boundaries but am confident when they are finalized it will give us peace of mind.
Andrea A.
I have a 2 year old Maremma/Akbash sheep dog. She is a guardian dog to my rabbits and now my lambs. She is very smart and extremely well behaved; however she is a shoe thief (I am unable to figure out where she gets them; I’ve asked my neighbours)
She has also become a bit more protective now that she has sheep.
I bought the spot on fence collar to keep her within my 28 acre lot. It works great.
She trained extremely easily; in fact in one training session.
I love the ability to control her boundaries; yet give her free roam and I don’t have to worry about my livestock, intruders or her leaving my property.
Great product thank you
Josh T.
Spot on fence has been a life saver took my dog no time to get used to her boundaries. The initial cost is high but after seeing how well it works and knowing it is keeping my dog safe makes it totally justify able.
Howard G.
What a great peace of mind and so easy even a dog can figure it out. I have about 10 acres of where the dog fence is active which is woods and some pasture. Working with the service side of things now seems to be great easy to deal with hopefully it continues.

So far, out of the box it's a flop. Fully charged collar will not connect to two different phones. And yes, we are within 50 ft. How about the phones practically touching the collar?! Frustrating. It deflates your confidence that it will keep your dog safe when you have problems right out of the box. We have not been able to contact anyone some customer service, yet.

Sustain:
System is easy to use and user friendly to set up
Improve:
There is notable delay when waiting for satellite signal. There is also some delay with detection of the location to turn off the alarm portion. I was testing it off my dog and it continued to shock me for 8 minutes even though I was over 25 yards from the initial warning zone. I eventually had to turn it off.
Summary: Trying to decide if this is something that I want to keep or not.
Leon W.
The collars do with some R&D. We have two Goldens that like to wrestle. The clip to attach the collar broke within 3 days of them playing. I ended up rigging the clip with zip ties since a replacement clip is $50. So the collars are OK on durability. The software? That needs work. The tracking feature on the app is glitchy. Just today the collar fell off our dog and when tracked, it showed the collar was 150ft from where the collar ACUTALLY fell off. So tracking is unreliable. Also, once tracking is manually enabled, I have tried multiple times to disable tracking and 90% of the time, it will not stop tracking even if you spam the “stop tracking” button. All in all, I guess it does the job of keeping them inside a “fence”, but that’s only if the collar is strong enough to stay attached to the dog. So far I would say overpriced for the expectations they set on their product.
Leah V.
It works great! It didn’t take long for my Goldendoodle to catch on and learn the boundaries. It’s so nice she can be a dog now and run free!
Laura M.
I had some frustration getting started but customer service helped me through getting a collar software update and that made all the difference. Trigger trained pretty quickly and now can explore our Montana homestead. I do lose GPS connectivity every once in a while after the collar has been in the cradle. I’ve learned to check the app when I put on the collar on and make sure the GPS number changes. If it doesn’t I restart the collar. It’s great being able to take it to a friend’s property and know he is just as secure there.
Timothy S.
Collar works great. My novia Scotia duck toller trained on it in 1 day. I set up flags and ran him to each warning 15-20times. After that he had it down. Collar has fallen off a number of times and that is my only complaint. I wish the band on the collar had a better locking system, the adjustable part is cheap and doesn't clasp well. If the band was updated to a regular style collar it would be much better and get my 5 starts. For the price, you'd think a decent collar band would be important

Our boy "Joe" is a King Shepard and is currently 3 years old. Our family is a military family and has been fairly mobile for the last 3 years of Joe's life. I was concerned on the effectiveness of the collar without a stable underground fence line but I was happy to find my concerns irrelevant. Once we received the collar I walked Joe around the boundary with the static feature turned on (as he has not really ever been contained in an area without a permanent fence.) He quickly became aware of the warning zones and where he could not go. The static feature was barely turned on (level 3) but at first he was concerned to get off the front porch. Within a few days he started to venture into his play area and now runs freely outside in the yard. He has been tempted with other animals playing outside of his area but has never left. He has gotten close, which sends me a notification to my phone that he "has left his HOME area" but quickly returns. We have since turned off the static feature and comfortable let him in the yard without concern. The collar has changed Joe's life giving him so much more freedom. The benefit too is now he gets to go to grannie and papaw's land and get even more run space with the same collar. EXCELLENT product, thank you.
Glen G.
It works as advertised...love it.
Could use an extra button on the app that gets the attention of your dog....just in case...
Leaha A.
We love the ability to set different fences for different properties & the increased setting option (beep-vibrate-shock.)
The collar is a bit larger than we would like, but has been very durable & held a daily charge.
Ryan S.
I had a halo collar before this collar. Your battery and charging port is by far way better than halo.
Ashley S.
Collar does what it’s supposed to do the majority of the time. It will alert randomly that my dog is out of his zone and start beeping when he is just sitting inside.
Debra L.
I don't worry when he's out. It is well worth every penny!@
Tom C.
We have a German Shorthair Pointer who needs a lot of room to roam. Our property is very rocky and 70% covered by timber. We are now in our second year of owning a SpotOn fence system. Training time for our dog was approximately one month. We have had zero issues, the system works flawlessly. We would recommend this system to others, it’s worth the price.
Moses M.
It works awesome just what I wanted
David V.
I like the collar, but I think a slip/slot inside to hold the unused extension of the collar would be nice.
A button on the collar to turn on the light and a button to manually vibrate the collar would also be nice.
All in all, I'm glad I got it and my dog responds well to fence.
Rick P.
I have been using it for about a month and it seems to work great. I do wish there was an option for corrective measures on the app for training as well as one hat if they leave the fence will entice them to return.
Cassandre K.
I absolutely love these collars. I have six dogs and a farm … there was a stray in the area and my dogs started wandering … this collar allows me to set where I want them to be and I can see where they are in real time. I love the notifications I get as well. My dogs were very quickly trained on how the perimeter worked. The only things I would like to see improved on is the method of charging, and possibly better battery life (they do last all day tho). It would also be lovely to see some sort of indicator when the collar is on - such as a flashing green light or something along those lines. All in all excellent product that I will recommend!
CHARLES B.
Works really well and the staff that was there was very helpful handled all my problems Very courteous
Glen V.
Love the product and the idea behind it. I am able to take this collar with me when we travel. It’s easy to use & set up.
-Some things to consider, the size of the collar. Maybe consider a way to make it a bit smaller for all dogs, just seems a bit too bulky.
-GPS tracking. My GF has the halo and it seems to me that the tracking feature on hers is a bit more “live”. By this I mean that she is able to login and follow her pet around or so it seems this way, I see her dog moving on the map, where with spot on it’s more restrictive. Additionally, when her pet leaves the boundary, she will receive not only a notification, but this will always be marked on the map, specifically where the dog passed the line, marked by an exclamation I think.
-Lastly, battery life. I think for the price of this collar, the battery needs to improve. I love this collar overall, but if I had to pick one feature of improvement overall this would be it. Maybe work on making it where it will las 48 hours at least.
Kurt L.
We purchased two collars after a lot of research and online comparison with other gps collars. Had them shipped to Illinois. Didn’t use them for approximately a month. Charged them up when we got to our home on the south shore of Nova Scotia. We have over two acres bordered by the ocean, a busy road and two private propertys. I walked the perimeter I wanted with app open, (leaving a few feet of satellite wiggle room as recommended), saved the fence, trained the dogs in 1 day. The collars worked perfectly. My dogs (golden doodles) were used to a small fenced in yard. They respected the spot on boundaries. After one day of training they responded to the first tone, returning to approved territory even when tempted by birds or other animals. The collars exceeded our expectations. We are not using the tracking feature.
One of the chargers broke and when I emailed spot on, they sent a replacement free of charge. Based on our personal experience I can highly recommend this collar.
Sally J.
Why does the peeping signal go off on my phone while I am training outside with my dog & collar & me holding the phone?
Steven C.
Had problems with the first collar that was eventually replaced by Spoton. Customer service was very helpful while working with it. The new collar has been working great for a few weeks. I no longer worry about checking Chester's whereabouts every 5 minutes. I have about 2 acres of fenced area that I let him run in with a pond he loves to swim in. There are two home zones established inside that fenced area also. I do try and remember to remove the collar when we go inside for any extended time and place it in the charger and it last all day. He is outside most of the day. If I don't charge thru the day I am getting about 14 hours and he comes in about dark with approximately 20% battery life left. He is a Beagle/Yorky mix so keeping him contained was a challenge before. I hesitated a long time before spending the price for this collar but so far I'm very pleased with it. Just my experience, hope this helps anyone reading it.
Linda E.
So far we are enjoying allowing Jasper to run in our yard. We also have mapped 2 other properties where Jasper is allowed to run. Thank you.
Debra K.
Our fence was easy to set up. Everything went just as the instructions said. Our favorite feature is the tracking option. Whenever we can't see our dog I just go to my phone and I know exactly where she is. We live on a farm so there are lots of places she could be!
Mindy m.
It saves my life and my dogs to, I was stressed all the time and having to leave work cause she would chase bikes going by or be on road. I could not have that. Not since I have gotten this collar have I had any more of those issues!
Brandy W.
The collar was easy to set up and the fence set up was very easy. The accuracy is within 20 - 30 feet. The one problem I see is that the warning zone is too small. If a dog is running towards the boundary, the warning does not happen until they are in the static zone. I would love to be able to expand the warning zone another 10 - 15 feet. If a deer comes into the fence area and the dogs go into predator mode and start the chase, they don’t ever get the warning before the static. Otherwise I am pleased with the collars. Having peace of mind is worth the investment to know that we can track them if they leave the boundary. They ran off before we got the collars and it was a nerve wrecking 2 hour search before we found them close to a busy 4 lane highway a mile from the house.
Marian A.
This is the best thing since sliced bread. Not only can our dog use every square inch of our home and cottage property but she now can go swimming when she wants without having to take off her collar. The tracking is fun to see where she likes to go but the breach notice is invaluable.
SpotOn got it right
Matthew S.
The collar works great! Easy set up and my dog was trained in a few days. Their customer service was top notch! My dog chewed his charger and when I called to get a new one they shipped one with no questions asked and didnt even charge me for it, very impressed by their service and commitment to their products!
Carl T.
This is an excellent product. I think it took me a total of about ten minutes to create my first control Zone while sitting on my living room. Then following my dog out side I got to watch as he approached each second few of the zone. He reacted properly to to the tones untill a hiker with his dog came by. The. My dog experienced all three phases finally turning back when he got zapped. Then promptly I received an alert to my phone showing on the map where he left the zone and immediately returned .
Love this product,, please add the ability to manually control all three levels of control f on the phone also!!
Ben G.
Great collar and absolutely superior to the Halo collar that I returned. Works very reliably and is making us and our dog very happy.
Two small rooms for improvement. There should be more adjustable settings like disabling certain notifications. For example when I’m tracking my dog I don’t want a pop up every other minute asking me if I want to stop tracking. I know it drains the battery and when I’m done I’ll turn it off. Very annoying.
Second when you change fences it automatically comes in active. This is downright dangerous for the dog and it makes it so you can’t load a fence and have it ready ahead of time. For example when you’re driving home you should be able to load the home fence and then just activate it once you’re home. Also if you select the wrong fence for the wrong park instead of getting a chance to see the fence and hat you’re inside it before activating it will just come in as active and start shocking the dog before you can react. You have to be very careful mot to fat finger anything. At any rate when you change fences it should come in at the same active or inactive status of the previous fence.
Brian K.
Amazing product. Exceptional customer service.
Abby C.
This collar works great! My dog can run around anywhere we go within the boundary set for her. I do have to say it isn't 100% accurate but still keeps her where we need her to stay.
Julie D.
It worked well. Then despite the correction tone he went into the neighbors yard. Fortunately the neighbor wasn’t home. I the morning I checkes the tracker and he was by his kennel. I put the cable back on him. I think the area where the prongs are the hair is too thick. I’m going to shave it down. Start all over with the training and I hope that works. Since I have had hip replacement surgery I can’t do much more
I also changed the fence further onto our property from the original fence. I hope this works. Otherwise I’ll be having to build a fence.
Leonard B.
Works great! Very effective and I love having the app functionality.
David H.
Getting the fence created was a bit cumbersome. I tried walking the entire 8 acres first and at the end it said sorry something went wrong please try again. I didn't. So I created virtually on my phone. It worked but there are places where it tends to wander more than I think it should. This is not heavy vegetation. It's a farm. There are timed when I don't think it's working even though it says it's active. And with the help of one of your technicians I figured out that the app is not consistent with the collar. It made me reload and reactivate the fence several times a day. We figured out that it wasn't really necessary. The app said inactive when it wasn't. So now I think it's working properly but I wonder sometimes. My dog is so good about staying home I don't get a chance to test it very much. It is comforting to have it on him. He's still young and needs to learn his boundaries.
Randi C.
We are loving the SpotOn! Our pups can jump our 4 ft fence to roam the streets. They have been responding very well to the tones to learn their boundaries. It’s not a fail proof system; however, with training and supervision they have come a long way! Only 1 incident of jumping out to greet our neighbor’s dog so far, and they came back over. The only downside is the durability. Our clasp already broke, and there are teeth marks from where they play and bite each other.
Kimberly R.
It took us some getting used to but the collar works wonderfully! We live on 22 acres of land and the collar allows me to keep track of my pup!
Thank you!!
Jackie J.
Loving how easy it was to set up the fence and my dog caught on pretty quickly. The only thing is I wish there was some type of alert to the dog until she entered back into the fence if she gets out.
Scott L.
Really love the freedom the collar gives our dog Old Dan. Put it on early morning and take it off late night.
Kurt E.
Ever since my dog has had the collar on, she stayed in our yard. It was always such a nuisance to chase her over at the neighbors and she would continually run away. That has all ended now and she’s a well behaved dog.
Kerri S.
We're on day 4 of training and doing well so far. The fence design was easy and we made two fences - one of our 1.3 acre property and one closer in for am/pm potty time. I have had some issues managing the collar on my phone...doesn't always connect. I'll keep working on it. So far, we're pleased.
Booker G.
One of the prongs keeps coming loose. Luckily, it has not come off while the collar is in use.
I'm not sure what it is, but my dog keeps going beyond the fence toward the NW portion of the fence.
I enjoy it as she can run around freely, but I worry when she gets out, and I then have to call her until she eventually returns.
Darren L.
I was very hesitant in deciding to purchase the Spot On collar due to the cost and due to not wanting to inflict pain on my pup. I researched and read probably every single review. I finally took the leap and feel like I’ve gotten my life back and not once have had to chase down my pup from her escaping the parameters of my ranch. Prior I’ve had to go retrieve her from all surrounding neighbors and once at 5:30am out of the middle of a busy road just as commuters set out and traffic was picking up. It’s been maybe two weeks, the first week spent training and this last week of her being free to roam with the collar on and the virtual fence set. She (my pup) had even become more obedient and less desire to roam. Overall I’m thoroughly pleased but the only struggle is the collar not holding charge longer. I’ve had to get creative for those times when the collar needs to be charged and hoping there will be an upgrade that can be downloaded for longer charge times.

I had Halo before, so there are things I liked about it that I don’t have with SpotOn. I like that I could connect to the collar remotely, if a family member wanted me to turn off the fence, I could do that while at work. I also liked that I could apply feedback to my dog manually. Otherwise I love the better coverage I get.
Jeremy R.
Absolutely loved it! We live in an area where the cell service can be bad, but our collar worked great. Love tge color, it fit our dog very well. We had ours brake because ou dog kept scratching to itch , they sent us a replacement to fix it. We were sad to find out our dog had an allergic reaction to it. When trying to start a return. we were amazed with how great their customer service is. They go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied even though we were returning ours. Thank you Spot On, You guys are truly awesome!
Ashley E.
We have a family farm with lots of space for the dogs to roam, but they've escaped one too many times - Spot On to the Rescue! With these collars and the GPS fence, the dogs have stayed on property even when we weren't home!
On top the fantastic product, add amazing customer service! Our male dog has a fascination with pulling collars off of our female pup and this time he even chewed up the buckle. Reached out to Spot On and they're sending a replacement! 10/10 recommend!
Beth B.
After the latest software updates the collar works fantastic. It gives us freedom to have fences at both of our homes as well as at other family members. We have multiple fences set up at home to allow our pup to have different options for outside play. Our pup has made his way through the containment but immediately comes back inside.
The issues we’ve had: first we had an issue with one of the prongs started to deteriorate which caused a hotspot on our pups neck. Verbal communication with SpotOn was good to begin with however once we had an open ticket and communications expanded to email and we asked additional questions regarding the materials that they were being supplied communication died. They did tell me that we could purchase aftermarket prongs from other venders like Amazon. We did find great surgical steel ones that work well. The next issue that we are having is that over the past few weeks the collar has started to come out of its detent (where the buckle attaches to the flap for adjustment) and our pup loses his collar. We’ve had to use tracking to help locate it after this happened. This has happened multiple days in a row and on one occasion we watched as he stopped for a scratch and the collar dropped off his neck. We used SpotOn’s “Contact Us” email connection last weed and have yet to receive any kind of response for why this happened or for any fixes. I’d have to say that as long as you’re in the trial period they do seem to want to give more attention to issues and we hope that we will hear back soon otherwise, we’ll need to call.
Overall it is a great product now that software issues have been corrected, it works as expected but, attention to issues as you’ve owned the collar for 4 or 5 months seems to be less of a priority for them.
Kirby P.
Works as well as advertised. Our dog is hyper and didn’t need any training because he has worn a training collar before. Absolutely love this system.
Bill W.
The largest benefit of the SpotOn system is the pease of mind. Oakley, our dog can go out as he likes without the need for full time supervision on our part. The pease of mind comes from easily knowing where Oakley is on the over twenty acres where we GPS fenced with SpotOn. The tracking mode also enables us is see if Oakley is returning to the house when we call for him. We see SpotOn as the best investment we’ve made for the quality of life for Oakley and ourselves.
We would definitely recommend SpotOn to all dog lovers wanting their dog to know the freedom of non-confinement.
Griffin O.
I have been using the collar for about 4 weeks now and it’s been great! My dog Rip figured out the boundaries within a few days. Keeps him home even when other dogs are walking bye. My only problem so far is I cannot connect to the collar with my phone. I contacted SpotOn and they are sending me a replacement collar. Hopefully I will not have the same problem with the new collar. I do wish there was the option for a recall tone or vibration to call my dog come inside.
Jim P.
The collar works as advertised. We live out in the country and this is a perfect solution. The dog responds well. If she breaks through, she quickly returns without getting shocked. We have setup several different fences depending on where we are. Good product! Cheaper that fencing. No maintenance.
STEVEN D.
Still working on boundaries and correction levels that will work for our dogs. We moved to a 100 acre farm with plenty of wildlife that is proving very tempting for our dogs to chase. The tracking aspect has proven very helpful. Sure beats putting up an eyesore of a fence or limiting them even further with a fixed area inground electric fence. My only (small) complaint is the battery life of the collars, but we are adapting. Overall, we are very very pleased as are our beagles.
Kimberly E.
The collar is great! Would love a feature where we could beep it to call the dog home. Additionally, the app needs some work! 2 people should be able to be on the app at the same time without knocking each other out. It would be nice to have finger print log on verses typing email and password every single time!
Rick H.
I live in a rural area on about 5 acres. My dog likes to follow me around while I am working and also explore on her own. SpotOn is a great and relatively inexpensive solution as compared to installing a fence. It was easy to define the boundary and then to train my dog to obey the prompts by the collar to stay within the boundaries. I also like that I can use the collar to easily find her on the property if I want to check up on her. I simply open the app and I can know instantly where she is without having to search for or recall her. The collar is very reliable and I am very confident that my dog will be contained within my property. But perhaps the most awesome thing about SpotOn is that they are continually adding new features to the collar that make it more versatile.
Mary R.
The SpotOn GPS system is a life saver, literally! I live in the country on a gravel road and my two pups would run up on the road and chase cars. One got hit and ended up getting 25 stitches, thank goodness no internal injuries or bones broken, but it was scary.
I did a lot of research on dog containment systems and decided on SpotOn. It's been great! So easy to set up and program and it only took my dogs a couple days to get trained on it. They stay off the road now and I don't have to worry about them getting hurt. My neighbors love it too since they don't have to stress about it either when they drive by.
One of my favorite features is being able to revise fences and build more right on my phone. Works very well on my large property, I love it!
Carly H.
These collars have met my expectations and exceeded them!
We live in rural farm area. Due to the farming practices, it wasn't practical to fence the property as well as the cost of fencing. This left us exposed to a very busy road during tourist season on one side and a somewhat busy neighborhood road on another side.
We also have a neighbor dog and kids that are unfriendly who often travel the road.
This fence has just made our quality of lives so much better!! ❤️ Given that my dogs were already ecollar trained, it didn't take any time at all for them to figure out the fence cues. I've told everyone I know about these fences/collars.
Sam M.
When we first got our collar, we were struggling to get George to respond to the collar. We were almost ready to send it back, but George finally learned where the collars boundaries were and started responding. Within a short time of George learning the boundaries, we had to have some warranty work done on the collar. We weren’t sure what we were going to do without the collar. Needless to say, the collar couldn’t get fixed fast enough! We are extremely happy we spent the money on the collar and would definitely do it again and recommend it to others. We love the collar because you can use it at multiple properties and don’t have to have an underground wire. The app works great for creating new boundaries and switching to different boundaries.
Daniel M.
Overall the collar has worked well. The charger has been a challenge as I have to stick something under the usb cord in order to keep it charging. It as if the port is loose in the base.
Also, when using the app and trying draw a fence the info tab covers most of the screen and it’s difficult to see the map.
I got the cellular plan to try it out, but it may not be worth it for me. Here in the Upper Peninsula cell service is very spotty, and many times either the collar or my phone has no signal. When it does work it’s great. I don’t know if a work around with StarLink would be possible, but that’s the only solution I can think of for remote areas. I’d be happy to beta test it.
Lisa K.
The Spot On collar is the bomb! In 3 training sessions I had my 100lb 7 month old Anatolian Shepherd completely trained on it….I dont worry a bit about her getting out at all…. We are thrilled! It is easy to set up, easy to train and peace of mind! When I can I wiil get a second collar for my Belgian Malinois! If you ever need a sales rep out in the Pacific NW let me know…. This collar is the best!!
Chris G.
Pretty easy to follow directions and the dog caught onto the rules quickly and we had zero issues.
Josh A.
The collar is great. Only problem so far is bluetooth connection does not work well. I have tried multiple phones and has hard time connecting. Need to connect to bluetooth to dissable and change fences.

We have a 10 month old Aussie and live on 5 acres. Our dog was going down to the neighbors and running where we couldn't see her or know where she was. We got the Spot On and worked with her and now she is stopping at the end of the driveway and stays inside the fence. So far this is working and she has the freedom to run around and we also always know where she is

Pretty easy to operate, the barriers float a bit and in deep brush it loses signal and may correct. Apparently there is a known issue with the battery coming loose or detached causing poor battery life. You have to send your collar in to them for repair, currently my situation, so not super convenient for the owner to have to lock an otherwise free roaming dog up for a week. I inquired about a loaner but none available. May buy a second system for the down week…….

We love SpotOn we are able to see where Duke is when he is outside. The only problem is we've only had the collar for 7 months & now have to send it back a second time due to the battery. It works but we can't track Duke on our app it can't see him due to poor satellite signal.

Want to write a review to thank SpotOn for their outstanding customer service and care for their customers! We just got a SpotOn collar back in May. After having it a few months, it accidentally got damaged. This was completely my fault, as it had been working great! My heart sank and I was so upset having broken a $1,300 collar just months after getting it. I did not at all expect the company to stand behind the warranty since it was my fault, but they did what they could to help me out. Thank you Tabitha and the SpotOn team. I will sing this companies' praises to everyone as a result of their customer service, and the care and compassion she showed me on our call. Five stars hands down!

We love the collar. It has changed our lives and the lives of our dogs!

Our dogs were used to the Pet Safe boundaries and we were able to keep the same boundaries. It was very easy to transition to the Spot On system. Spot On support helped us make the adjustments needed which helped greatly.
Thank you for your help.

I thought you knew that I returned it about three weeks ago because I was frustrated with the sound that I can't hear the sound. I am looking forward for the refund. I believe this is good but I am deaf and more difficult to hear the sound.

Works great. My dog learned in no time.

Corky took to the training with lots of enthusiasm. I set up a training fence first and worked with that once or twice a day for a couple of weeks. When he seemed to be confused by the whole idea, I'd give it a rest for a couple days. We hit a few snags when I had trouble getting familiar with the system...using a phone, treats, dog leash, etc. We were hoping that we would not have to use static correction, but the smell of the neighbor's trash was too tempting. Static correction works great..levels 1 and 2 had no effects, but 3 does the trick. The only problem now is that once in a while the fence line seems to relocate into the house. We now remove the collar as soon as Corky comes in. Amazingly enough, he doesn't seem to associate the collar with the correction and sits like a gentleman while we put it on him....unlike our older terrier who ran for a hiding place whenever we pulled a correction collar from the cupboard.

I did a lot of reading on SpotOn and Halo and ultimately felt SpotOn was a great fit.
I read, “game changer” and “life changer”, those are accurate characterizations of this product!
We have two golden retrievers who have a tendency to wander and these collars have helped us be able to relax. We used to have a remote and had to keep track of where they were and had to correct if they went out of our yard. Not relaxing at all.
I have seen the “con” of “too expensive”….for us it’s saving us money. We use it at our home and at our cottage which has saved us from having two buried electric fences installed at two places. But I have to say, just the confidence alone that they’re staying on our property is worth the money.
When we put the collars on them they are so excited because they know they have the freedom of roaming the property. It literally took 15 mins to train them and they hardly have the static shock because they turn right around when they hear the warning.
If I had to change one thing….it would be to add an option on the app to ‘correct’ them when they roll on a dead fish on the shore! Being able to give them a warning would be great. Less baths! Lol
This is a great product and has indeed changed our lives! Thank you!

Just amazing. We bought a new house, and after getting super high estimates for both traditional and underground fencing, I came upon SpotOn. While it seems expensive at first blush, the cost is actually considerably less than most fences. And, it just simply works.
We have an acre of land with a hiking trail right beneath, elk all around (and other critters), so distractions abound. After a couple times training per SpotOn's instructions, our pup got the hang of the beeps and notifications, and now she simply roams free in the "fence" we've established without issue.
All in all, this has been a seamless, hassle-free experience with a great product. Very happy customer!

He knows when he has the collar on, doesnt go near the fence but if he gets out without it he’s gone like a shot.
Sometimes it seems like i have to connect more than once

This has been a great investment! It was super easy to set up and is very user-friendly. So far, we haven't needed to turn the static on, the beeps and vibration seem to work. I will definitely recommend to others!

Had to return due to inconsistencies in my yard. Maybe was too small. Really loved the system and how it had potential but it didn’t work for me.

SpotOn is super easy and convenient! Has made training our puppy a breeze to keep him safely in the yard. I would have given 5 stars instead of 4, however find that the battery on the collar does not last a full day and often needs to be charged at some point during the day or early evening to make it through until he goes to bed. Other than that, excellent product!

I recently rescued a black lab who did not previously have freedom to experience the outdoors. It only took me a short amount of time to set up his fence - the hardest part was waiting a month for my collar to arrive. It took me just a week to train him. I have set up his fence so he can swim off our beach- stays away from the road. He loves the water and watching the fish and boaters go by. SpotOn 5 stars from Lake Mecosta in Michigan!

Spot on is a life changer
Now my dog isn't bothering the neighbors he knows his boundaries.
We had a problem with it did a chat with you guys and you helped me get the problem fixed.

I love the spot on! So does Blue!

I absolutely love the freedom of the collars! My only complaint is I wish the battery lasted longer, our collars are put on around 430am and by 9pm they need to get on the charger. In the summer our kids are up later and I worry the collars will die and then we couldn't track them if they left our property.

What an easy transition this was. We have had some trouble in our country neighborhood so this was a blessing in disguise!
People for some reason, are afraid of an 105 lb solid black German Shepherd. The neighbors have been working hard to make us either re-home or euthanize. For the record, he has never bitten or attacked anyone or anything. Germans are in a class all of their own.
Thank you for this wonderful option.

The collar and app work very smoothly. The transition and my dog’s learning curve was very simple once I got it set up correctly. One thing I wish was better is the battery life of the collar.

I don't have enough info to make a full review yet because the collar hasn't worked from the beginning. Lots of errors, app freezing, lots of restarts BUT customer service has been amazing, helpful and right now the collar is back with SpotOn being looked at. I will say, set up was easy, setting up the fenceline was great, and from the little I used it, IF they can get it working for me... it'll be a great collar for my livestock guardian dog. I'm eager to get it back.
