Updating the software on your SpotOn Collar (PC/Windows)

STEP 1  |  DOWNLOAD THE WINDOWS INSTALLER

To complete a software upgrade you’ll need to download and install the Windows Installer. Already have the Windows Installer from a previous software upgrade? Skip ahead to Step 3. Before getting started, be sure to turn off any Antivirus software (turn back on after install)

NOTE: Firefox users will see the folder in the upper right-hand corner

      C. Select “Extract All” 

      D. Select “Browse…”

      E. In the “Select a Destination” window, select “Desktop” under “This PC”

      F. Select “Select Folder”

      G. Select “Extract” in the “Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders” window

STEP 2  |  Install the Windows Installer

      A. From your desktop, double-click the blue SpotOn Installer icon

      B. Select “More Info”

      C. Select “Run Anyway”

      D. Select “Next >”

      E. Select “Install”

      F. Select “Yes”

      G. Select “Finish”

      H. Select “Next >”

      I. Select “Install”

      J. Select “Yes”

      K. Select “Finish”

      L. Select “Yes”

      M. Select “Next >”

      N. Select “Finish”

STEP 3  |  Download the new SpotOn Software File

      A. Download the latest SpotOn Software file for your collar (select “Download”)
      B. Open the “ENC_Firmware_PC” .ZIP folder in the bottom left-hand corner of your desktop

NOTE: Do not double-click on hex file inside the folder.

      C. Select “Extract All”

      D. Select “Browse…”

      E. In the “Select a Destination” window, select “Desktop” under “This PC”

      F. Select “Select Folder”

      G. Select “Extract” in the “Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders” window

STEP 4  |  Upgrade your SpotOn Collar

      A. From your desktop, double-click the green SpotOn logo icon

      B. Turn on your SpotOn collar
      C. Connect your SpotOn collar to your computer with the SpotOn data/charging cable
      D. On your collar
                a. Select “System” from the home screen
                b. Select “Upgrade System”
                c. Select “Yes” to confirm
      E. On your computer, select “Load File”

      F. Select “Desktop” under “This PC” from the “Collar Upgrade Image File” window

      G. Select the “ENC_Firmware_PC” file downloaded in Step 3.
      H. Select “Open” from the “Collar Upgrade Image File”

      I. Wait to see “Collar Connected. Press “Program Collar” to begin.” (can take up to 30 seconds)

      J. Select “Program Collar”

      K. Wait to see “Upgrade successful!!! Reboot Collar”

NOTE: Do not reboot or unplug your collar until instructed on your computer.

      L. On your collar, select “Reboot”

You are now done upgrading your SpotOn Collar!
