The Most Reliable GPS Fence for Dogs
At SpotOn, our technology sets us apart. Containing a dog within a virtual fence is only effective with the ability to remove GPS’s inherent limitations such as drift, multi-path signals, and interference. SpotOn’s patented True Location™ technology does this by gathering the GPS data from motion sensors in the collar that track your dog’s direction, speed, and acceleration and applying patented AI to position your dog’s true location with more accuracy than other GPS fences.
We pair our True Location™ technology, with the best GPS hardware. SpotOn's dedicated GPS antenna is positioned at the back of the dog's neck where it has the best view of the satellites. This highly-sensitive antenna harnesses the power of four global satellite systems simultaneously (other pet tech can access only one at a time), to pinpoint and predict your dog’s true location and provide more accuracy in the GPS fence boundary, more freedom for your dog, and more peace of mind for you, so you can leave your dog to go about his business, while you go about your day.
Another bonus, SpotOn's GPS dog fence runs completely independently, is always on, and doesn’t require a subscription or additional fee.
NO WIRES. NO BASE STATION.
A completely self-contained GPS fencing system SpotOn does not need wires, base station, or power source. Unlike other GPS fences, SpotOn never requires GPS calibration and never needs to recalibrate, so your fence boundary will remain consistent over time, and it will be ready to go whenever you need to use it!
CONNECTS TO MORE SATELLITES
SpotOn connects to 25-30 satellites at any one time - and can pinpoint your dog to within 3 feet of his location. Simultaneously receiving and tracking signals from four navigation satellite constellations including GPS (US), Galileo (European Union), Glonass (Russia), and BeiDou (China).
SpotOn’s GPS fencing for dogs uses a best-in-class, dual-feed collar antenna, optimally positioned on the back of the dog’s neck so it has a clear view of the sky and filters inferior GPS signals partially blocked by buildings or trees.
DOESN'T CORRECT A DOG FOR COMING HOME
Our patented containment algorithm never issues a warning or a correction to a dog returning home. SpotOn's GPS dog fence technology interprets the direction of travel and only issue warnings and corrections to a dog attempting to breach the boundary.
Patented indoor detection. SpotOn’s smart technology can recognize if your dog is inside or outside. So even if your fence boundary is close to your house, your dog will never get warnings or corrections while indoors.
SpotOn’s Forest Mode improves GPS performance under dense leaf cover from trees, brush, or bushes. Sometimes, if your dog is under heavy leaf cover, SpotOn may think your pup is indoors and suspend warnings and corrections. Activating forest mode will disable indoor detection.
How the tech works together
Keep an eye on your dog’s life, while you live yours
Add an optional cellular subscription so you can see your dog’s location—any time, from anywhere— with the touch of a button in the app. Check in on him when he’s on a far corner of the property and get real-time notifications if he leaves the GPS fence,* SpotOn’s automatic tracking will update his position every six seconds, so you can be reunited as soon as possible. SpotOn’s cellular uses the LTE-M service and is available in your choice Verizon or AT&T. Specifically designed for IoT devices, LTE-M offers coverage in many places where your phone’s 4G service is weak or unavailable. Different from your phone’s typical 4G service, the LTE-M data band is dedicated to powering internet-enabled devices. We offer a 90-day free trial as an extra level of protection as your dog is learning the fence.
