We have a Maremma Sheepdog to watch over our 10 acres. The problem was he was roaming our neighbors land as well as wandering the roads. The SpotOn collar has been a game changer! It took him a couple of days to get the hang of it, but now he knows his boundaries. He wears it all day and kennels up at night right now as he is only 9 months old. The goal is to allow him to roam at night as well. The collar stays charged sufficiently throughout the day and is easy to put on and take off. We did try the static set low, but he is stubborn and needed a stern correction. One time was enough for him! Now the warnings and if necessary, the vibration is enough. Very pleased with the track feature and overall functionality of the collar with the app.

The spot on customer service is amazing. When you call you actually talk to a real person who you can understand. They are knowledgeable and willing to help correct any issues promptly. I had an issue with my dogs collar not connecting to the internet and when they couldn’t fix the issue over the phone, they provided me with paid overnight postage so that I could send the collar to them immediately. They repaired my collar quickly and returned it looking like new (it certainly didn’t look new when I sent it to them), all free of cost to me. We are very satisfied with our purchase and have had this collar for a couple years now. We would highly recommend this company!

Leo caught on right away . Was a little confused about Canadian phone service cause everything mentioned A&T and Canada doesn’t have that . And to shut off tracking to save battery still a little unsure.
The product is good . the dog is staying within his boundary ,I’m more than pleased . I’ll increase boundary size this weekend I’m sure he will like that and still stay within boundary. Will go to 80 acres and see in time .
Your advertising should be more straight forward if I want all services this collar offers I do need a monthly subscription and your ad said I didn’t like competitors your product is good don’t mislead anyone tell it as it is .
One happy dog and one happy human I’d say that’s a success.

Collars work pretty well. Battery length as advertised but longer lasting would be even better
Linda B.
My dogs were already used to static collars so this made the training process a snap. They had it figured out in 5 mins. Now if they decided to leave the fenced area, I know exactly where they are. I was a little apprehensive about spending that much money on 2 collars, but it was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Truly gives me a peace of mind. Thank you so much, Spot On!
Amy M.
Can you get a replacement battery?
Allison C.
We got this collar for our almost 2 year old Irish Wolfhound/Pyrenees/Maremma mix girl.
We're on 5 fully fenced acres but the wildlife have made their own 'paths' out under the fences and she has been following them. We live on a busy road and the struggle to keep our girl safe is real.
We ordered this collar in the hopes that she would learn her boundaries (with appropriate training) and we would be able to let her live her best life and roam around the property as intended.
So far so good, she responds well to the tones and most times the tones are sufficient enough when distractions are present.
Kelly L.
The fence was easy to set up and training was great. I wish the collar was more able to adjust without having to cut the collar. It makes me concerned if my 1 year old dog grows it I cut too much it won’t fit.
Alexis
Would not stay connected even after troubleshooting. Would not alert dogs or send notices to phones

I LOVE Spot On! This system completely deterred my Corgi Benjamin from going out on the road! He loves to have the collar on because he knows he gets to roam free on the farm! AND customer service has been GREAT to work with! Kind, helpful, patient and so delightful and friendly! They answered my questions right away. I cant say enough good things about this company!!
Ronnie L.
It has been wonderful. She figured it out as soon as we put it on her . Works amazing. Easy to use . We love it
Bernard B.
Collar works great. She can run free on my property and I don't worry about her going to the neighbors anymore.
Kenneth A.
It's doing real well I think... it's good to walk with your dog so it learns the boundaries set.. also check your phone making sure the collar is on and you have satellite reception.. thanks
Quita S.
At the start we had a hard time getting the collar to turn on, or know when it was on. I'm more used to it now and use my phone app to irritate it on.
The boundary drift in the mornings made us shift the boundary further away from the house - but Bertha can now access the driveway, which I was trying to avoid. But we'll see if we can fine tune.

I live in the country on an acre of land. Plenty of space for my Otis to roam and play. But, he is a very curious boy and wanted to roam down to other people’s homes, including going across a public road. I don’t want him to be confined to a fence, or inside the house all the time as I have a beautiful acre with trees, grass, and space where he can sniff, roll on the leaves, chew on sticks, and run until his heart is content. I bought the SpotOn package and, within 2 days of training, he has not left our property. I had to eventually turn on the static correction, because he is a bit stubborn, but now he hears the tone when he enters the boundary and he retreats, and he has learned the boundaries and stays within them. The SpotOn system was easy to set up and use; and I can see his location at any time. The system was a great investment as it gives me a huge peace of mind knowing that he is safe from getting hit by a car and roaming, and that he can freely enjoy his 1 acre home.
Michael
The collar charging port broke in less then 2 weeks. I have attempted to get ahold of customer service for 2 months now. Nothing.
Holly J.
It took a little while for Lizzie, my Doberman puppy, and I to adjust to the collar and how it works. She has been wearing it for several weeks now, and I am so happy with this collar! It has kept her out of my neighbor's yard and safe from the street, but she still has full run of my 2 acre property. I feel it was a very worthy investment for my peace of mind and Lizzie's safety.
Mary J.
These collars are amazing! Worth every penny! I don’t usually take time to write reviews unless I’m totally blown away by a product. My 3yr old husky/mastiff trained on this collar in a day. My 6 month St. Pyrenees was quick to follow. I live in a very rural, rural wooded area with limited cell service, limited high speed wifi - no cable tv option. But the GPS signal on these collars is great out here! Set up was a breeze and the batteries last 20 hours (or more).
Amber .
We started when our pup was only 3 months old and then delayed as per recommendations on the site help. We focused on touch training and started back up training a few weeks ago (5 month old retriever). Dog responds really well when we are in training, currently working on some pesky distraction training which is taking longer likely due to our dogs age!
Customer service has been absolutely amazing for me up in Canada!
Marcella S.
The collar seems to work great but my app gets me messed up sometimes (bad connection?). I've tried to figure it out and I've sent emails a few times. Sometimes it seems like Spot On doesn't want to be bothered but they do send a robotic response. I tried to get the FREE 1/2 hour training and that kind of got messed up as the trainer was busy and didn't seem to want to be bothered so I figured it out myself. But in the end I do feel my 9 month old male collie (that thinks he is suppose to have it HIS way) is definitely getting it. I'm super grateful that I don't have to put up a fence and he has access to my large 5 acre lot.
Pamela
If I could I would give zero stars , the collar charger was broke when I received it and no one will respond to have it replaced . I would not recommend this product to anyone . And to think I wanted &1300 on it. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!
Matthew P.
I’m not convinced yet. I must admit that it’s a VERY effective tool at coaching your dog unleashed with seemingly highly specific GPS-defined boundaries. But, it’s a pain in the fanny to keep charged. And, the iPhone app interface only alerts you when it’s soon-to-have or has deficient battery power. I can’t tell if it’s actually charging or not, short of watching the % charge change. The base and USB-C connection seems fragile. I’ll keep you posted on how CS handles my frustrations (I have only had for a month or two), but for a grand I would expect a LOT more durability and a better “off dog” user interface. Keep ya’ll posted!
Stephanie W.
The idea of this is great. Our dog has experienced freedom he would not have otherwise and so much more practical than a fence for a large property but for the price I expect a little more. One time we didn’t click the collar well and it fell off. Luckily we could use tracking on the app to find it. Maybe something more secure for such a pricey item. Another time one of the inner pegs fell out and we had to order more. Most concerning though is that twice while the collar was on the charger in the house it indicated that the dog was outside of the containment area and had he been wearing it he would have been shocked. We have a metal roof but we have setup our house as a safe zone so I don’t think this should be happening. Hopefully this can be improved upon because I would not want to send correction if it isn’t necessary.otherwise we love the product and how it works.

I did not even have a cell phone, so now I have a cell phone to better track my dogs! My neighbor tried other trackers for his dogs, but the bluetooth apparently did not communicate with his phone and it was a waste of money. So I went right to the GPS unit as keeping the dogs from the road was my #1 priority, with tracking being a bonus. With Spot On, we have not had any drops with the GPS or the cell phone / Bluetooth communications. It has "locked" a couple times, but I got great, immediate assistance from your New Hampshire staff and rebooted and no problems! I have yet to really use the "shock" on the dogs...one is already afraid of the vibration, so we are good. I have to work with the Pyr and the stronger reinforcement to train the boundries, but the warning they are out of the area is enough for now...I should have time in the winter for more training, when the leaves are down so I can better define the border...I have enclosed over 20 acres...So I am happy and only have one question, which I will call your support staff about. (how data usage works) Thanks, it was expensive, but apparently, I am sure getting what I paid for! In this short time of owning it, the collar has already taken quite a bit of abuse, as my dogs roll in everything and go in the water/swamp quite a bit....no problems! Thanks!! Marla

Fantastic Product. We were so close to getting rid of the collar as we bought it preemptively for a problem we didn't even have. Our pup was not wandering off or leaving the farm yard ever. However that did change of course. We caught him at neighbors place a couple times and we decided it was time to put the collar to use. And this is the amazing part. We spent a total of 30 min with the collar on showing Tucker the boundaries without even installing the correction pins. He figured out right away that he did not like the vibration. Been 2 months now and we've never even utilized the correction function and he respects the boundries perfectly. He tested the boundary a few times initially but always returned promptly. What a piece of gear this thing is. Could not be happier honestly. Expensive item, but well worth the investment.

We have a 26 acre farm and a Great Pyrenees who had wandered as far as a mile away (to a neighbor who called for me to pick him up). I would see him go under. Our fence and call… at which point he chose to not listen. The collar works great ( I do have the setting at 30 as I fear he could chase a deer or whatever). We don’t have good cell service but the GPS is awesome. Training look about 2 days (to get setting right). My only complaint is about 20 hour of battery life, then 2 hour charge. I tie him at night though I’d rather he be free. He loves being with/near us during the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Cassandra W.
Our dog is able to roam on our 50 acre farm, we can feel confident and he is not going to leave. This is easy to use and I like the fact that I get updates on the collar on my iPhone highly recommend.
Matthew F.
Fence lines work great. Pretty accurate within a few feet. The app could use some work, it freezes up on me pretty often and I have to restart my phone
Britnie N.
We own 8 of these collars. Our Beagles and Great Pyrenees have done great with this system so far. We have had this system almost a year now. (For reference our set up is mostly forested on 130 acres.)
Thomas C.
I would like to give a star but honestly it doesn’t deserve that. The color itself works pretty great. The GPS seems to be mostly accurate. The charger is the problem! Why did you guys decide to go cheap on the most important part. First off there’s no charge indicator so you have no idea if it’s charging or not. Secondly, the connection in the back where the USB-C plugs in is loose and just so poorly designed. Half the time my collar isn’t charged even though it’s been sitting on the charger all night, which makes it very inconvenient and basically useless because now I have to wait to start my day for a collar to charge. It could be the best color in the world. It could be absolutely worth every penny that you guys are charging, but without it being or staying charged, it’s useless.

We live on a 49 acre ranch. Out dog Baby has strong prey drive and liked to explore. We've only had the collar a couple of weeks but she has made amazing progress. So far I am really pleased with the product and the customer support has been amazing
Kortney B.
The collars have been a game changer for us! We love to travel and love that when our dogs go to their grandpawrents' houses they can be off leash!
Karen E.
The SpotOn Collar has worked great for our 11 month old golden retriever Mac. It took three days to train him and it is easy to follow their training video. Our dog has the whole 20 acre property we live on to roam freely while we can keep him out of the livestock areas and the creek. Highly recommend!!!
Tommy B.
Several issues in beginning. But customer service was very helpful.
My dog learned it in less than a week. I feel I can let him roam any of the fences set up with out much worry. I have an acre at my house. 110 acres at my dad's. Have several fences set up at my dad's to keep him out of areas as we move livestock to different pastures. Also to keep him off roads.
I do worry about durability. I wish it had a protective cover. Lots of brush, oasage orange and honey locust trees.

I promised myself I would rate this product as I was quite skeptical it would work. In addition, I also convinced two of my siblings to try the product; so, there is quite a lot at stake. I have two dogs: a 7 mos. old Doberman Pincher, and a 1-year-old Parson Russell Terrier (who is an absolute suicide jockey, a train wreck and the absolute bane of my existence)! I own a ten-acre horse farm in a rural/residential setting and loose dogs are not tolerated. My dogs are not only convinced they own the entire neighborhood but are determined to protect ALL of it from its own residents. High jinks and shenannighins were around every corner of every minute. In short, my dogs were driving me nuts and had been an absolute terror to the community! I'd tried buried wire fencing years ago, and when it worked it was great, but it seldom worked. The size of my property just didn't support the never-ending maintenance and expense required to keep it operating. That's where Spot-on comes in. After a good deal of research and some sleepless nights (purchasing two collars is quite an expense) I bit the bullet, and I could not be happier.. Yes, there was a bit of a learning curve. For instance, my Terrier rapidly trained himself to ignore the tone. It wasn't until I put some 'umph' into the static correction that he began to put two and two together and did so quite rapidly. I decided to go the same route with the Doberman and he caught-on immediately. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't wait for 2,3,4,5 etc levels of correction. If you don't see a response; you're training your dog to ignore the most important part of the product... The tone. As stated, there is a certain amount of drift on the fence line. Be aware, the dog NEEDS to realize the tone must be heeded, no matter where he hears it, or the drift will stun and confuse him. The Company's Customer Service is exceptional. That's pretty rare in today's day and age. The peace this product has brought to my life is a game changer! I highly recommend the Company and this product. Sincerely, Wendy Jenner

Spot On has been really great with customer satisfaction!
The one weak point is the charger connection. It's easy to fix once you see how the cord connects to the charger. I screwed it to a heavy base.
My pup is getting used to the collar. I still like it so much more than the collars that depend on a wifi connection.
One thing I could recommend to spot on is satellite prediction. accuracy could be better, I'm not sure of the cost but I use it with commercial aircraft landing! You can subscribe to a service that shows out of service satellites and predict accuracy.
Allison H.
We have had Spot On for two months and we love it! The collar works as it is advertised. The only thing that could be better is the design of the collar holes. With not much force, the collar can fall off our dogs neck.
Jeff S.
My two buddies have about 10 acres of freedom thanks to Spot On. Training was quick and easy and I can find them instantly. A great product.
Sam W.
Roger is a smart dog and learned the collar in just two days. He now lives completely unleashed when at home.
Kyle A.
10/10 customer support. Collar works as intended. Will recommend to anyone.
Eileen V.
SpotOn fence changed our dogs attitude immediately once she could be free to run the field. She is better behaved and sleeps better after a full day of exercise with the freedom of not being tied up. I love the tracking feature as well as the ability to change the fence boundaries on the fly. Simple to setup and use. Only one downside that you don’t have the ability to change out batteries.
Marc E.
This is how good these collars are. We have 2 hunting dogs brother and sister and the sister always gets the best of her bigger brother wrestling and chasing one another for sometimes hours. They’re a year and a half and they love to chase cows when I run in the BLM.
On a recent trip to Nevada from New Mexico we stopped in the entrance to Burro Creek Canyon campground next to the entrance road. I pulled out the app, drew a fence running along the road and out into the open country and let the dogs go. I made breakfast and they went crazy having a blast. When some wild Burros went by they ran barking up to their fence line and made a hard stop. Later they wouldn’t cross it without a lead when I took them for a short hike. Same result when I got to my moms property in Nevada and an air bnb in Albuquerque. Best of all is the support teaching us to get the most out of the collars and repairing one the dogs cracked roughhousing
Glenn S.
Customer service is awesome. We have two boxers and our girl Beth likes to sometimes pull on Rip's collar. She put a tooth through the button on Rip's collar and made a hole. I sent it in for repair and fully expected to pay a fee but the repair was covered under warrantee for no charge. We live by a lake and needed to keep them off the thin ice in spring and fall. We have had the collars for 6 months and everything has gone great.
Eric H.
This works great. We have 1.7 acres, some of which is wooded. Very easy to set up a boundary and move it as needed. Gives the dog lots of room to run without getting into the ticks, the burs, or chasing the deer around the neighborhood.
Love that I can see where he's at in the yard on the app, and the alerts and real-time tracking when he's crossed the border are amazing.
A must-buy if you have a big, odd-shaped yard.
Yvette A.
I really like being able to adjust our draw fences. The battery doesn't seem to last all day, from time we get up until bedtime. Also another issue is I want to include my house and my front porch, but not very far into my front yard. Not sure how to accomplish this.
Rob
Doesn't work on my property. Lower elevation and heavy forest. Unfortunate.
Malena
I bought this because I have a very nosey girl who has a fear of missing out. This FOMO has gotten her into trouble several times by her scaling my six foot privacy fence and escaping. I bought this because of my fear of her getting out and getting hurt. This fence/GPS locator is great. I have not had to search for a lost pup yet, and she hasn't scaled and escaped the fence since the arrival of her collar.. I highly recommend this product to anyone who treasures their furry child and best friend.
Dan B.
Spoton fence/collar is literally a life saver. We have 22 acres with 1/4 mile road frontage and my 2 livestock guard dogs had started chasing autos. Spoton collars solved this problem! I had nowhere else to turn for a solution. The support team is awesome as well. There's nothing else out there that works like these collars. The keep out zones help me keep them out of muddy areas and I really like the new call 'em home whistle feature too, saves my vocal cords. I highly recommend this collar and definitely get the wireless plan for tracking, it gives you full knowledge of what your dog is up to and real time feedback on status of the collar. Thanks Spoton!
Nathan H.
We live in a very rural area. Lots of trees and thick brush in south Florida. Almost jungle like. Collar works excellent! Customer support is the BEST! Highly recommend Spot on!
Fain W.
The collars have been amazing. Easy to set up, easy to manage, all of the functions and controls I could ask for, it’s incredible. Definitely the right decision for our roam-the-world dogs. My only complaint is that the collars seem to stop working frequently overnight, forcing me to have to shut them off and turn them back on, and wait for the satellites to connect to the collar again. But other than that, it’s awesome.
Shelly K.
Very easily set up
Our labs were trained with hunting collars prior so adjusting to using new fence was extremely easy as soon as the dogs heard the beep they turned and looked for is for new command so no issues with testing boundaries just always repeated stay in yard think they understood this right away. We live in a subdivision with acre lots and no permanent fences and everybody has dogs so keeping them contained but free to run without a leash was important to us. Our neighbors are I think envious of the freedom ours have from the leash while in a yard as they for the most part have to walk them leashed within there own properties. 5 star product and excellent customer relations 1 month in and no complaints
ALANA K.
Spot On has been a miracle for us. We're on a large, rocky property that was impossible to fence, but we wanted our dogs to have some freedom to play, hunt, and explore without our constantly having to keep tabs on them. They have learned their boundaries quickly, and when they are tempted, the alert is quick.
I held back a star because there are still some convenience quirks to work out, even though the functionality is pretty great. The collar doesn't start charging when it's placed on the charger. You have to be careful to hold the button down long enough to wake it up. The battery could last longer, but I understand that it's working hard. Finally, the app needs a little tweaking so that multiple people can keep an eye on the dogs.
All of these issues don't change that this system is fantastic, and a life saver! So much thought has obviously gone into it, and I'm sure it will soon be perfect.
Bryan
The collar works well and keeps my dog inside the fence.
Already have a broken buckle after a month of use. It's a shame they used cheap plastic on such an expensive collar. I'm quite annoyed with that.
Also I don't know why they couldn't have different color LED's like everything else. Green is on, red is off. Both functions are one color.
Jarrod A.
The collar has worked like a charm for our Black & Tan coon hound. He no longer roams to neighboring farms around us, but stays on our property and runs freely around our farm with our other dogs. However, the app is not user-friendly. It’s hard to create or edit fences. The boxes pop up in front of the map and makes it impossible to see what you're doing when creating or adjusting the boundary lines. Also, the app and the Spot-On website don’t “talk” with each other. I thought if I created a profile on the website (on my computer), I would be able to see my collar/fence info. Not true… I can only see what I’ve purchased with you. Not helpful at all.
Please make the app more user friendly and give us the option to view on the computer.
Thearon S.
The collar is great and not so great. Dog training was completed and she respects the fence. She knows the tones and usually turns with the first warning tone. The collar only works if the dog is walking though. If my pup starts running before the beginning of the fence she will run through so fast the collar doesn't have time to do the first tones. If the collar detected speed somehow and alerted earlier, say 3mph, if could help the tones to be more proactive. Otherwise great product.
Deb K.
We live on a farm. Our dogs have always been able to enjoy the whole farm!!! But our Jessie enjoys the neighbors too much!! So we had to find a way to keep her home! Our Spot On fence has worked great!!! I think our favorite feature is the tracking. When we don't know where Jessie is we can track her and know exactly where she is! All the instructions for set up and use were easy to follow and worked just as described. Recently we had a question about how our collar was working. Response time and help was very good and very timely. There is no way we could have done a traditional buried fence system on our farm. We really enjoy our Spot On fence!
William D.
MOSTLY excellent. The collar has given Archie and my family the lives we dreamt of when we were considering adding a dog to the home. Love the tracking feature. VERY HELPFUL as the dog has escaped through the active fence 3x. Couple more issues though. The fence does shift a couple meters. My dog ate the 1st charging station (mine and my dogs fault) and somehow got his collar off and ate through his leash. I quickly ordered a replacement. While waiting for the replacing we immediately realized how important this leash is to my family and to my dog. I think a design change on collar would help but overall, this leash is FREEDOM for my pup and my family. recommend this product. I almost gave it 5 stars.
Dana H.
The Spot on collar has given my sweet girl so much freedom she is able to roam the entire farm without me worrying that she is wandering off. My biggest complaint is the battery life is short it'd be really nice if I could get a full 24 hours on 1 charge but I'm lucky to get 14 hours at best which can be a pain to work around at times
Alex Y.
The battery life is a real issue. Everything else is great.sad to say I will be returning the collar and expecting a full refund.
Theresa J.
I'm still undecided if I'm keeping them or not. I have 2 collars for my 2 dogs. There seems to be either glitches with the app or I have a defective collar because one of my dogs randomly shows that their collar is off, when it's not, or maybe it is... I have to constantly check it. This same collar also gives false corrections, or doesn't stop correcting when my dog moves from the boundary which is very confusing to him I'm sure. I would expect for the price and peace of mind they're supposed to offer that they'd be more reliable. Also, SpotOn directions say to leave the collar powered on and on the charger when they're in the house (overnight) I would think "overcharging" will just shorten the battery life, then what?? But left off the charger, 1 collar is at 67% in the morning and this problem collar is at 5% which again is very annoying if I plan on actually using them that day. It's a great concept but I'm not sure they're reliable enough to place my dogs safety in. I'm considering returning them and maybe trying a competitors.
Charles E.
Look ma! No leash! Loving this collar! It is a sanity saver! My Raya is able to free range the yard and she's never been better! Playing fetch, letting her out to take care business and keep the pesky fox and dear away at the same time lol. I highly recommend this collar! Training was simple and she picked up on it in two weeks!
Duane L.
This has been a dream! It works exactly as advertised with no issues even in our remote, rural area where even cell service can be a bit finicky. We couldn't say enough about how smooth and simple this was to setup and use.
Todd Z.
overall we like the collar a lot it gives Kane his freedom and keeps him inside his boundary and away from the street where he is known to torment the dog walkers passing by our acreage. However, the power button needs a location redesign it is directly where a dog scratches its neck and has caused ours collars button to rip off. SpotOn would not cover this under warranty. If not for this one pretty big flaw, this would be the perfect collar. highly recommend SpotOn take this example into consideration when they make a redesign.

My wife and I own a non profit petting zoo for special needs children, adults and vets with PTSD. where we live has an issue with coyotes so we new we had to get a livestock guardian dog. The breed we chose is the Turkish Kangal. They are a great breed but do tend to wander. That being said we knew we needed some sort of fencing and with todays pricing on fencing materials we could not afford to do that so we started looking into various GPS fencing systems. Our first investment was with the Halo collar this collar unfortunately had issues with maintaining the GPS fence due to limited satellites and our dog would run right through it. That being said we knew we had to find an alternative solution. After doing research we came across SpotOn GPS fence and saw they had reviews from farmers who use their product for their dogs and have had good success. We decided to give them a try and this is what we learned from using their product. First the GPS collar uses 150 satellites to monitor the dogs location. Areas that are covered by a trees still work with all the satellites being used. The static charge used to correct the dogs goes up to 30 which is great for my breed which is very head strong. Halo collar only goes up to 15 which may be good for some breed's but not a Kangal. SpotOn also lets you set up no go zones within your fence so like for us if we don't want Kahn in our riding ring so we can simply set up this location to keep him out of it. Also you can set up a fence with in a fence which basically means if you want your dog to stay in a certain area for example lets say during the day you want your dog to stay around your house you can set the GPS fence inside of your total property. That way they are near the house during the day and then at night you can switch to the outer perimeter fence to protect your live stock. Halo does not offer this.
In our opinion SpotOn is a superior product then Halo especially for LGD.
Paul L.
Best thing I ever did.
When I had a problem your people went above and beyond.
I can't say enough good about my experience with spot on.
Mike W.
The collar works great. Our dog caught on to his boundaries really quick.
DANIELLE H.
Not sold on this
Fence moves with the GPS 3 to 5 feet
Yes my dog is big but the collar is quite clunky he hates it and he is used to a shock collar
To leave the property with my dog you have to take off the collar or turn it off. Last time I took the collar off and forgot to shut off the tracking so the battery drained quickly
Katie B.
I have loved having the spot on collar. Still getting used to all the settings but love that I can create a bigger area for my dog to enjoy. Only thing I wish was better about the collar was the battery life. After charging to 100% every day it only lasts about 12 hours before I get notices of it shutting off or having only a hour left before powering off. I have also only experienced once so far that the collar has gotten a correction within the boundary and I’m still not sure what that was from, maybe the gps loosing single. My dog seems much happier with the freedom he has to roam in bigger space.
Bobbie P.
I'm having some difficulty with the collar. The tracking is not working at all. Dog has escaped several times and the app shows no record and the dog is not shown on the tracker.
Also, on a couple of occasions, the static correction has activated while the dog was in the house. This is the most concerning.

We love the collar. we have an 8 acre area set up for Hazel. She is a tad bit sensitive to her collar, so we just use the noise levels. She is accustomed to training collars. She will not even go near some of the boundaries, so if the area was really small I think she would not be very happy. We love it!!!!

We love the spot on fence and so does Gunner! He’s now able to go all over our 10 acre property and not get left behind. The only problem so far is for some reason it began shocking him in the house one day. We don’t know why. It hasn’t happened again. We love that we can keep him safe out of the driveway. We keep him away from our chickens, garden and bees. It’s been well worth it!!! He can go for rides on the side by side too!!

I have a 3 year old Brittany Spaniel, and had him trained with a regular training collar before purchasing a spot on collar. So training was a very easy transition, he caught on immediately. It’s so nice knowing that he will stay within the fenced area. Our yard is approximately 120 by 200 feet and the collar works great.

DO you think this could be used by golfers? Maybe get increasing creativeness the further they or OB?
Just a thought.

We live in a remote area.
I adopted two dogs within the last two years. The first stayed within our yard, the second began to explore a bit more. She has been positively reinforced when she goes to the road to meet people passing by. They think she is cute and give her lots of love. So - she created a pattern of running down to greet everyone. Unfortunately, it isn't safe.
This collar has been extremely helpful! Our dogs have the opportunity to run in the woods, but they no longer go to the road. I am able to work from home and let my dogs explore without worry.
I didn't have time to dig and bury a wire and I wanted my dogs to have room to explore in the woods. This collar is expensive, but my dogs bring me a great deal of joy and the peace of mind and their ability to love life has been worth every penny.

This product is a game changer!
I live in a remote spot with very little cell service and the GPS function works well. This collar is effective with my dogs without the static correction.
I had minor challenges with older versions of the collar and need to say that one of the greatest strengths of spoton is the customer service, which is superior than anything I've experienced. Joffre was patient and kind. THANK YOU spot on.
Highly recommend.

I'm super happy, it's been a fabulous investment. What I don't like is that I can't keep the session open on my cell phone, every time I want to see my dog's location I must type the username and password over and over again. But, in general, my SpotOn has been a wonderful solution.

The collar works flawlessly. My dog can run and even jump in the canal behind our house with no concern. He corrects within seconds of crossing the boundary and learns himself where he can and cannot go. The software is fast and easy to use and understand. Setting up new fences is simple, quick, and very helpful when we take the dog to other family members property. The software does have some issues though. It will crash on occasion when you hit the update button after tabbing to a different program and needs to be restarted. The notifications also seem to be unreliable at alerting when the dog has crossed the boundary if the phone isn't in your hand with the app open. This isn't a huge concern as the collar works independently but it's resulting in my deduction of one star.

Fantastic!
I have a 150lb Kangal that is a great guard dog except on occasion he will leave our 100 acre farm. Spoton allowed me to draw a boundary around the 100 acres. We have be using it about a month now with great results! Spoton notified me that on 3 occasions he tried to leave but returned within seconds! Yes it's pricey but I don't regret it at all. I do wish on the large size collars you had an option of a longer lasting battery, but other than that it's great!

Love the spot on and my puppy loves it too. He knows where the line is. He learned very fast. Tracking is not working for us. Our cell is between 0 and 2 bars. I love the easiness of changing fences and adding or deleting them. To keep your pup save and for you to know your pup is save is sure worth the money. I highly recommend Spot on.

There is a learning curve with figuring out how the system works, but after a while my crew got the hang of it and are doing great. Be patient and consistent. Use the collar every time you go out and make sure the fence has enough slack so your dogs aren’t hearing a warning sound unnecessarily.

Elsa has taken to the collar. She has only had 2 breeches of the boundary in the first month. She has responded very well to the audible tones. We have a 100 acre farm and I can feel comfortable allowing her to freely roam now.

I am ready to send this back. There is no way to turn up the volume on the actual collar...my dog was trained as per the video's..but totally ignores the warnings and jist runs through the shock. There should be a volume co tool as I can't hear it myself when he gets near the border of the fence.

Was unable to create fence from home but after walking area was able to expand area from home.

Our dog was in his crate in the basement where there is little to no cell service. We were out and the system told us our dog was first outside his fence maybe 30 yards, then 1 mile, then 40 miles away from our house. The whole time he is in our basement and did not leave. We were worried it was shocking him or something. I'm surprised there is no remote over rides or a way to verify actual location. My wife has asked that I return my unit but I'm not sure.

The only issue I have been having is the collar is falling off my dogs. I have (2) labs both with collars and they like to play with each other and with the stretchy band and the clip design the strap comes off the clip and falls off the dog neck I have found the collar laying in the middle of the garage floor and yard a few times now. I was trying to think of a better way to secure the clip to the band. I also think it comes off when they roll on the ground and have noticed it will flip around and have the spikes facing outward.

I purchased Spot On Collars for both of my labs. One work’s tremendously. The second seems to work intermittently. I have attempted to contact customer service via email & by phone but they have not replied.

Great - when it works.
We purchased the collar 4 months ago for our active Labrador Retriever. We live on 2.5 acres bordered by a lake that our Lab spend a lot of time in.
Pros: The instructions and tiered level of stimulation works great with our professionally trained Lab. Being "collar trained" our Lab picked up and respected the boundaries from day 1. Our lab is in the water HOURS a day and the collar has remained waterproof. Battery life is good but the sequence and feedback of whether the collar is on or charging is confusing so sometimes the collar has died because we didin't know it wasn't charging. IF you have great GPS reception the boundaries are clearly transmitted to the collar. If GPS reception is spotty at all, the boundaries are not as precise.
Cons: The company is ... slow.... slow to ship, slow to respond, sort of aloof in their responses and seem to be unaware that their product is nearly twice as expensive as their nearest competitor. The collar started to deteriorate after 4 months and we had to send it back for warranty. Typically a company will swap with a new unit on a verified warranty claim. This company does not do that. We had to send the collar back (grounding our wandering lab to the house or kennel) and we are unsure of the time to receive the fixed (not replaced) collar. We are unsure when the collar will be returned and the company doesn't really provide that information. We initially had some technology issues that rapid push out fixes required us to re-synch our collar.
There have been a number of these, occasionally GPS fence has been shut down without warning, defeating the purpose of the collar. Summary: They have a good product now, even for the price and lackluster customer service. Once this technology is replicated by competitors, the only differential will be customer service and I'm not sure SpotOn will be able to step up.

The advertizing and "user guide" information are somewhat misleading. The implication in both is that the cell phone and collar communicate with bluetooth and that cell service and/or wi-fi are not required. This is misleading. Cell service is required and in remote areas without cell service communication with the collar is not possible. The collar is stilll usable but the "fence" area must be designed and activated before going to the remote area and losing cell service coverage.

The training was going okay. I knew even before purchasing that my dog would be smart enough to get it. However he was too clever and was watching me more than listening. I finally was able to use a long lead with treats to test it, but he still quickly learned to just avoid the fence, and it felt like it was going the wrong way.
So before I contacted support for training help I decided to try the correction on a low setting and that worked. He now stays within the fence and is learning the boundaries!
The only problems I have are with the app. The connection is poor at best where I am. So often the app was counterproductive to training as it would get stuck beeping with a warning when it lost signal. Also the range is pretty short to stay connected.
The update released shortly after I received my collar worked great. The initial training was impossible as it didn't work and would frequently just not move. I am still a bit wary of this happening again, but so far its been reliable.
Support over the phone was extremely helpful, however the automated online support was abyssmal.

We have 3 large breed dogs. We live in the country on 5 acres. Unfortunately, our dogs were running off and making hunters mad at us. Then we found spot on. We haven't had any problems since! We love this product. Our dogs are able to roam freely. We also maybe spent 5 minutes with each dog training them to the fence. They picked it up very fast and don't go near the borders at all now. It's a great way for your dogs to run free without having to worry about their safety!

Outstanding this collar is great Sadie loves it this was worth the price.

The collar is easy to use and works great! Our dog figured it out very fast. The only recommendation I have is to make a better buckle/clasp for it. Ours broke within a week, but thankfully they send a free replacement within a few days.

Cole is an AKC shepherd we adopted him at 18 mths old.Previously he had limited exercise time.We have 2 acres in Hawaii,on the Big Island,we are on the edge of the rain forest. We have had the collar for about three months and we love it.Cole is now staying within his fence or right at his fence boundaries.
Cell phone service is sketchy and skies are often overcast but for the most part we are able to track his activity with the ap,even when I went to the store about 5 miles from home.
Customer service by phone is excellent. We were able to replace a lost prong and change the collar size with no difficulty.
Money well spent.

Collar works great. Our lab can run free on our 2 acres without me having to baby sit him. Customer service is A+. A week after owning the collar our lab slipped it and chewed it to pieces. I reached out to SpotOn as I was devastated. Even though it clearly states in their warranty policy that "chewing" is not covered under the warranty they went above and beyond by sending us a replacement at no cost. I can't guarantee they will do that for everyone, but they sure took care of us! Thanks again!

There are so many things I love about it! I really wish if once your dog escaped, you could push a button to warn them to return (buy a tone or vibration, or a momentary shock).

Love the collar. The only thing I would like to see improve is the way the clasp is on. When my two dogs play, they are able to get the clasp to unhook from the collar.

Using SpotOn collars on all (3) of my dogs. I am very happy about the performance of the collars.
I am pleased about the recent addition of e-collar features and have used them to train my dogs to stay relatively close to me while walking on trails.
The recent upgrade to the app features a very nice upgrade to the app functionality by enabling a quicker way to navigate between collars when using multiple collars.
Unfortunately, I am experiencing some glitches in the app especially in this new mode. The app freezes and is unresponsive until I close it down completely. When I reopen it it will tend to work more robustly but the freezing behavior seems to be kind of random. The app also does not respond when I try to view notifications in the upper right corner.
I am using an IPhone 14 Pro with latest system.
With the last app upgrade the Beta version of the E-Collar features were lost and it is my understanding that they will be replaced very soon. I am very eager to see this so I can restart the trail walking training and hopefully get my dogs back on track in time for some hikes to see the fall colors.
Overall, I love the collars and the app and realize the improvements and developments take time to mature.

the issue we are having is our dog is outside all the time so we have no control over her during the time it takes to charge the collar everyday . In our case it would take owning extra collars . Thanks

Milo is a 2-year-old German Shorthair Pointer with endless energy. He loves the SpotOn collar. When he sees it in our hands he jumps for joy.
We had the luxury of using a collar with handheld correction and some horse fence line areas to define boundaries before the SpotOn collar arrived. The transition was seamless.
Handsfree allows Milo to chase birds to his hearts content while we relax and enjoy the show.
Thank you.

Just an update on my purchase.
Here’s what freedom looks like for my dogs.
Thanks SpotOn
