I have been using spot on for over five years and still love it
Debbie S.
We have two dogs and are extremely happy with our SpotOn collars. They can run around on our property as much as they want but has learned where their boundaries are. I love that I can just let them out the back door knowing they are not going to run off. We did end up having an issue with one of the collar's early on, but the SpotOn team replaced it, and it now works perfectly. Speaking of the SpotOn team, they are awesome. I did have quite a few questions in the beginning with collar set-up and training, and each person I spoke with was very patient and knowledgeable. If you live in a rural area, I would highly recommend purchasing a SpotOn collar for your dog.

I'm normally not the guy that leaves reviews, just in exceptional cases like this one.
My wife, daughter and myself had enough of the city life and moved up to rural Ontario with my lab-mix dogs on a 5 acres property surrounded by river. Dog heaven, so we thought... .
To avoid the dogs from running off I first build a fence in the front with a gate. It lasted until the youngest guy figured out to cross the stream and run off into the forest or steal bones from our neighbour's dog.
The joy of living up north, soon became a headache on how to keep the dogs contained.
Not only did the pup escape multiple times a day, also my older boy liked the idea to cross the river, so now they both were roaming free and unchecked.
Every dog pee or unsupervised moment was becoming stressful very fast so I start looking for an alternative.
After a lot of research (AI did a lot of comparing for me) I made the choice for the best system (not the cheapest one) for my 2 dogs. Product arrived within 1 week and at first I was a bit hesitant about the learning curve of 2 weeks.
Turned out the dogs figured the beebs, vibration and ultimate little shock (level 6-8) out pretty fast and within 1 week the dogs are now secure. No escapes, they don't even want to follow me if I leave the gate open. They stay back about 3' and show no interest in going any closer.
Further on I love the app function where after walking the property, I was able to edit the fence on the map, so the dogs could still go into the river for a swim. I simply moved the fence line back about 3/4 into the river.
Worked like a gem!
Now the dogs can roam free again with peace of mind for all.
Not cheap, but so far worth every penny!
Thanks SpotOn for a great product!

Great customer service and excellent warranty terms. The app is a little clunky, but the collar works really well.

I think this collar will work very well when my dog and I are trained and as she gets bigger. I did not give 5 stars only because my Lab is a 13 week old puppy. I looked over the website to find out if this collar would fit her. Everything indicated it would fit and that I could trim the end of the strap. It did not mention that the unit attached to the strap weighs 37 pounds (weight is exaggerated, but it is heavy). We did our first day of training today. When the tone sounded my dog stopped and looked around, then looked at me. Not sure I did the right thing, but I directed her back away from the line. We walked the parimeter of the zone and she stopped each time the collar sounded. I do realize after walking the zone that my zone is a little too small. So will be correcting that. Maybe put 2 sizes of collars in the box. If you can put 2 sets of zapper connectir things you could surley put 2 sizes of straps in the box too.

After doing hours of research, I finally found the best one. Spot on. This company is great and their product is even better! I’m excited for what the future holds. Great quality product, great customer service. Totally satisfied.

The ability to tailor a GPS fence is great. It took quite a few tries to set it up. Don't think this system only works on GPS. When you track your dogs, i just learned after 2.5 years with the collars, the collars have to have cell service available for you to track the dogs. If you have a very remote location with little to no cell service like i do, your ability to track your dogs is spotty.
Customer service reps didn't seem to fully understand that there are places where there is no cell coverage.
Still, having it is the best alternative i have found!

works well and they are there for me if I have a question.

I am very impress of the quality of the after buy from spoton staff, they give to client a super service. And the collar just work very well, my French Brittany respect the limit that i fix for him
Thank for a very good service after buy
I recommande your collar to all my friends..

Merlin was slow to learn the boundary. We had multiple interruptions (heavy snow) in his training so it's tough to blame him. In the end, Merlin is now 19 months old and SpotOn works super well. Merlin hits the fence occasionally but now immediately bops back in bounds.

Wuick delivery. Our 11month old puppy had just found out she could jump over our 4ft fence. So this was a must. Not recurring subscription. Size is a little larger thsn i would like for her neck as shes only 25 lbs. just remember to recharge it in the evenings.

This has been a game changer for us. Bo was trained on an invisible fence but never respected it. With Spot On we were able to mark our entire 12 acre property and although he has challenged the boundary a few times he always comes back. The ability to see where he is at any time is priceless. The product works well and has brought us peace of mind

My wife was about over it with our black lab 4 month old puppy chasing the neighbors cat through THEIR home! I taught Molly “Border”, got SpotOn, made a 2 acre fence and Kim did not leave us! Hahaha. We now turn Molly out without concern, FREEDOM.

This was our first experience with a fenceless collar and I was sure about how it was going to work with our Australian Shepherd that loved bolting after squirrels. From the first moment I called SpotOn they listened to my concerns, brought up a google map of my property so that we could honestly see if the collar would work for us. The purchasing experience exceeded my expectations! The sales team even helped me to get the best deal possible with their promotions. I followed the video training they offered and our Aussi picked it up so quickly. I had some questions along the way and again customer service left me with that consistent feeling of exceeding my expectations. Our Aussi loves being off the leash for walks and enjoying our yard. I have had no issues with our collar. Thank you SpotOn. Keep up the great work. It is amazing to be treated so well.

Excellent collier GPS. Permet de suivre notre chien et d’installer une cloture (GPS) pour ne pas quelle sorte de notre terrain! Dispendieux mais excellente qualité qui nous donne une tranquilité d’esprit.

We’ve been using the collar for about 3 years now. Replaced it once. It works great about 90 % of the time. It keeps a charge about 14 hours which works well for us. The 4 stars is because it looses satellite connection when on the dog and I’m unable to track him.
Ginni S.
We have had the collar for about 2 years. The first 1.5 it worked great but for the last 6m we have had a lot of problems. The collar does not stay connected. We have contacted support and they have us power cycle the collar and that works great until we need to put the collar back on the charger and then it loses connection again. We should not have to power cycle and reconnect to satellites every morning when we put the collar on Angus. He is a Staffy with a strong prey drive and we need to know where he is always

We live just off a highway on 4 acres of land. It's too much to fence, so we needed a foolproof way to keep our Dolly Jo safe, and SpotOn was the perfect answer. At one point after months of using the collar successfully, Dolly Jo started breaching her perimeter. We scheduled a call with the SpotOn trainer and quickly identified and corrected the problem. No issues since then. We love the fact that we can set a boundary anywhere, not just at home. We vacation at a cabin in Wyoming every year, and we can easily set Dolly Jo's boundary. Perfect!

All three of our Saints are loving the collars and the freedom. I can now attend to things around our hayfarm and not worry about where the pups are, such a piece of mind. We had some glitches with set up in the beginning but the customer service is next level. I recommend these to anyone who is thinking about a GPS collar.

Two dogs, same fence. Picked it up quick. Failed collar that was pretty abused replaced under warranty, painless to swap in new collar. Spot on is great!
Tony P.
Great product, better service and support. I had to leash my dog, Bean, after 6 years of roaming the yard free due to a nasty neighbors unsubstantiated complaint. 6 weeks on a leash was killing her soul.
I got the Nova.
Setting up the fence was simple. I used the free training session and made one call to support and within a week Bean was free to roam again.
I couldn't be happier with the device. The battery lasts ALL day and I really like the tracking features.

We are new to LGDs and new to our fenced, but not dog fenced, ten acres. We bought our property fully cattle fenced but that's it. I did a TON of research on different breeds and decided that the Tornjak was the LGD for us. They're highly intelligent, highly trainable and very protective. We weren't in a position to page wire our entire acreage to keep a dog in. I did some research and came across SpotOn as the most expensive but most effective option to keep a dog in the perimeter. We got the system when Jack was 4 months old and I started working out the perimeter in 2 feet of snow. Honestly, it took me way longer to figure out where the perimeter should be than it did for our puppy to figure the rules. He learned so quickly what the deal was, we had him running free on the property within a couple of weeks. We have very little cell service so it depends on GPS and works great. We had a one random notification that said he left the perimeter when the collar was on the counter charging, no idea why. But other than that, it has been an absolutely solid tool. He's been tested a couple of times with major distractions and did not leave his perimeter. Watching him learn to protect the property from within a safe space has been such a blessing. He has a very thick double coat but I just shave a small area where the prongs are. The long prongs just seem a bit much since the collar needs to be pretty tight. The battery lasted longer before we got the subscription which tracks him. We got the subscription really to reassure ourselves that he was staying within our perimeter. Once you trust your dog it really isn't necessary. If you have spotty cell service, the subscription is spotty too. All in all, we're extremely happy with the SpotOn Nova system, we and our LGD love it!

The Idea of the collar when it is working is great!! However im not sure if it’s software or satellite related but the collar will randomly just shock my dog in pre set “safe zones” ie. The house. Not sure how to fix it or why it goes off in the house. I started deactivating the fence when he comes in side. It takes longer than 10 min to connect to satellites despite customer service saying it shouldn't. Over all the collar is sleek and great when it works the way it is suppose to. I dont think id ever pay this much for another one and think for this price point i should not have to deal with the hiccups we have been having.
Richard M.
I do Ike that I can set a fence, we do a lot of camping and I can’t make the fence small enough because your system says it’s to small of an area that needs to be fixed!! Also I would like to adjust the warning zone on the fence my dogs are on collars now they know a warning.
I do like the concept but it can be better
Kelli
This collar has been life changing for us and our puppy! We took the time to really show her the boundaries we had created and she now gets to roam free on our property and it works so well! Our dog even stops for the UPS and fedex delivery people until they come to her instead of her running to them in the driveway, which is outside the defined boundary. All around great purchase, we tell everyone we know with dogs who could benefit from it!
J Scott T.
A wonderful experience. She learned quickly and would never even think of leaving the property. Exceeded my expectations!!!
Nick P.
Great concept, But just doesn’t work. We live in rural Montana. We have cell service, but because we have a metal roof they want us to take the collar on and off the dog every time she goes in and out of the house.
Earlier the dog was in the house, but the GPS thought she was 300 yards away and started alerting everybody. I didn’t see, but I hope she didn’t get corrected.
Troy G.
They advertise long battery life but even with tracking off they only last less than 70% of advertised life and their Customer Service just tell you that's expected. I wish I had confidence in getting support when the product doesn't live up to advertised expectations.
Michael T.
My collar has never worked consistently. I find my dog outside the boundary and when I then test the collar in that moment it is not recognizing the boundary. Then after walking the collar back and forth in and out of the boundary it often starts to work. And yes, before I every put the collar on my dog I verify it has picked up the satellites and all systems are "go" so that is not the issue. It is simply inconsistent. I have had the collar for over 2 years. I talked to customer service about it several times in the first few months that I had it and the response was always to assume that my boundary needed to be adjusted. After the continued inconsistency I just don't believe it is about my boundary. I believe in the technology and I know there are satisfied customers out there and I'd love to be one. But I can't see dropping another $1,000 on another collar to replace one that I think never worked properly. And SpotOn does not appear to be interested in making me one of those satisfied customers. I guess that's all I have to say about it. I'm disappointed.

We adopted a stubborn girl! A 2 year old boxer ! I needed to section off 4 acres for her so I choose Spot On! So far so good ! She has been easy to train to our surprise she caught on quick. Tracking has been good even though we are in the woods. She loves water and chases the sprinkler but it works great under any conditions! Vicki & Bella
Sara
Works grear with my Metal Roof and 16 acres.
Kelly H.
Our 6 month old Aussiedoodle, Rocky, is learning the system and doing well! He wants his freedom to run SO BAD and we are getting closer to letting him run loose. He has a little more training to go but so far we love it and can't wait to see him thrive on our 6+ acres.
I also love how easy it's been to alter the fence line - we don't have to re-walk the whole thing - we can just pull the line in the app and voila - new border! So easy.
Support has also been great. We've had a few questions and they were solved quickly. Thanks for everything!

I am so impressed with SpotOn -- the fence, the subscription and especially with customer service. The video I've attached shows my German Shepherd chasing my Bernedoodle 7-month-old pup. Note the pup runs to an un-mowed area with an orange lawn flag. That is part of the SpotOn boundary fence. My pup immediately stops and re-enters the safe area. As for the fence: My property is complex. It includes very thick brush and tree areas dropping off to a major creek, and also a tributary smaller creek. The dogs are not to cross the major creek but are encouraged to spend as much time in the little one as they want. And there are a number of other "problems" for fencing. The fence was a breeze to set up. I simply walked the perimeter and when I got to something impassable (like the major drop offs to the big creek, and the crossing of the small one) I just paused the fence building, walked to the next spot I could get to. Started the building again...and the app put "fence posts" at my stop and restart points. It was easy to make adjustments to the fence on the app. And then there's customer service: On Day 1, I mistakenly left the collar's charging token on the collar while it was on the pup. He got it off and chewed it, destroying it. A message to SpotOn resulted in SpotOn's sending me a replacement charging token, at no cost to me, not even a shipping charge, the next day. I have had numerous questions for SpotOn. I send messages through their website get an immediate confirmation that it was received. And then very soon, I get an answer or suggestion. The whole experience has been excellent. I am to the point where I am 95% confident of the fence, spending time reading in the yard, keeping a loose eye on the pup and on the tracking portion of the app. I have watched him, over and over, wander the boundary, get the warning tones, a few times the static correction, and then turn back. The video I'm sending now is from one of those sessions today: I think it would be hard to have a more convincing "major distraction" test than the pup's being chased by his big buddy, running at full speed toward the boundary, then stopping at the tone, reversing and re-entering the safe area. I will add one more thing: I took both dogs for a bike ride of about 5 miles the other day, leaving the collar on the pup, deactivating the fence before we left. At about 3 miles away we stopped at a stream. I opened the SpotOn app, pushed the tracking button, and it showed exactly where we were. Pretty cool.

We purchased 2 Spoton collars for our two Pyrenees six months ago. The setup was easy and the app interface is excellent. Recently, one of the collars refused to charge properly and had to ask for help. They quickly diagnosed the failure mode and determined that it was a manufacturing failure on a weatherproof seal and the collar was replaced quickly and without charge. Got continued support throughout the process, even on a weekend. Excellent company. Highly recommend them.
Donna .
Fabulous. My dog only took a few days to train on it. I did use flags to mark the boundary lines but it was more for me than my dog. Highly recommend. Worth every dollar.
Ric B.
The only thing good about this collar is the marketing. The collar wouldn't connect to satellite for about a hour everyday. The stap broke in a month of use and no help from the company . Bought a halo. No complaints works as advertised. Even cost it cost twice as much as other collars, sure you dont need a subscription but to make up the cost with other subscriptions it would take 8 years, and is any collar getting used and beat up everyday going to last 8 years
Linda B.
Our dog Bo is trained to the underground fence
He would often run thru the fence and go all over our neighborhood
With Spotonfence he stays exactly where he is supposed to stay
I cannot say enough times how this product has helped our dog stay safe in his yard. Great product!!!

I was one of SpotOn’s early customers and have owned multiple SpotOn collars over the years. When the original generation collars had issues with the glue failing and the units literally falling apart, SpotOn replaced them. When it happened again, I paid to upgrade to a newer model because I believed in the company and appreciated the customer service.
Unfortunately, that goodwill has now disappeared.
My current collar, which is less than four years old and has been meticulously cared for, will no longer hold a charge. The collar is in excellent physical condition, but it has become unusable. After submitting photos and working through the troubleshooting process, I was ultimately told the product is no longer supported and that my only option is to purchase another collar.
For a product that originally cost around $1,500, I find that unacceptable. A premium-priced product should have a reasonable service life and long-term support. Instead, SpotOn’s final response was essentially: “You’re out of warranty, but we’ll sell you another one at a discount.”
Offering a customer a chance to spend another $499 after a product failure is not the same as standing behind your product.
What makes this especially disappointing is that I have recommended SpotOn to others based largely on my past experiences with their customer service. In fact, family members purchased SpotOn collars because of those recommendations. I can no longer do that with confidence.
The technology is innovative, and when it works, it’s great. But prospective buyers should understand that if your collar fails after a few years, even if it’s otherwise in excellent condition, you may be left purchasing an entirely new system.
I expected better support from a company whose products carry such a significant price tag.
Kristie B.
Our Labs had started to go on adventures that included crossing a road so we knew it was time to do something. Fencing was so expensive and we own 40 acres so fencing just the yard wasn’t something we wanted to do. Underground fencing was a pain. So we purchased two Spot On collars and I’m so happy we did!!! Our dogs were already familiar with e-collars so it’s been a breeze to train them. We haven’t even turned on the correction yet. As soon as the collar beeps they run right back. And customer service is amazing! We’ve been so happy with the collars, I recommend them to everyone I talk to!!

I bought the spot on collar for my Pyrenees mix a year and a half ago, I had to replace it once because of a faulty battery. It was still covered by the warranty, My dog recently got sprayed by a skunk and that’s been a big problem. The smell doesn’t come off, I have tried everything to make the smell better, the only option I was given was to purchase another collar at half price, still around 500 bucks. That’s a bit steep to pay for a skunk encounter.

I’ve been a SpotOn customer since 2021, and their customer service has consistently been outstanding. Every time I’ve had an issue with my collar, their team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and quick to help resolve it.
We live on 40 acres, and SpotOn has been a great solution for keeping my dog safe and giving him the freedom to roam. I have owned two Omni collars that I rotated between my dog and I recently purchased the new Nova collar to replace my oldest collar from 2021.
What sets SpotOn apart is their commitment to customer support. Based on conversations with friends who use the Halo Collar, I can confidently say that SpotOn’s customer service experience has been far superior. It’s reassuring to know that whenever I need assistance, there’s a reliable team ready to help.
I also want to note that I am not a paid customer, sponsor, or influencer. I’m simply sharing my experience as a long-time user who has been very satisfied with both the product and the support.
I highly recommend SpotOn to anyone looking for a company that truly stands behind its products and customers.

Collar is more accurate than I expected and training was extremely easy. Our boy now has plenty of room to run and explore and I don’t worry about him chasing out near the road. Was the best investment next to the pooch himself.
Jeffrey M.
Love having the freedom to draw our fence that extends into the woods behind our property to give our dog more freedom to explore! Also the ability to have multiple fences that include our lake cottage provides us the same protection with just one device!
Anita K.
Scout our GSP loves the GPS collar. He loves his freedom to run and play. He learned very quickly and looks forward every day getting outside. Scout hunts for his favourite sticks, chases butterflies and all the birds that fly by him in the safety of the boundaries . Everyone is relaxed, happy and safely enjoying the unleashed life.

Collar works as advertised but has a very weak point that is a deal killer. In past 4 months my dog has broken 3 of the cheap plastic buckles leaving collar lost in the 7 acres of woods he is allowed to roam in. So far I have been lucky finding the $1,000 collar. Extra $100 per year tracking feature is only hope of finding but my dogs travel some places down a bluff I can’t physically get to. Just a matter of time before it is lost. Only answer from SpotOn is to sell me more buckles increasing their profits. This weak point is a deal killer and I cannot recommend buying. When lost it will be replaced with competitors collar. . A so so collar that stays with my dog will be better than a great one lost in woods.
Alisa J.
Our puppy trained with the collar in about 3 to 5 days we live on a busy road in a wooded area and we feel comfortable, allowing her to go outside of the fenced area because she already knows her fence line. It has given us peace of mind to know that she will stay away from the road and we can also let her go outside, knowing that we can still track her location the collar wasn’t picking up the location and the customer service team got back via phone and chat very quickly and they were able to resolve the problem within three minutes. Great customer service great collar and I love the option that later on in the future if we don’t want the tracking service, we could still just have the collar for the electrical fence boundaries and not necessarily have to pay for a subscription yearly which is the case from any other brands. Highly recommend.
Kerry M.
SpotOn has been effective to keep my young dog on the property. Training was pretty easy. Most of our 5 acres has a perimeter fence, but he was able to squeeze through the old page wire and get out to the road or to the neighbours. The only fail issues have been human error related to the battery, or a couple of times when the collar has 'lost' its satellite connection. There is no cell service at all where we live and that makes it not easy to set up. But it is possible. I will upgrade to a new collar when I can afford it.
Rachel M.
Worth the money!!! My dogs are 4&3. Free roam their whole lives but our neighbours got chickens.... my dogs are extremely high prey and the collars have been 100% effective. Training only took one walk around the boundary. Love it!!!
Morgan
Worth every penny. Within 3 days they were trained and haven’t left the yard once. It has alleviated so much frustration and allows me to be relaxed and more loving to my dogs!

Contrary to all my research which indicated Spot ON is superior to Halo especially in forest areas, my experience is (I have two of these collars) the collars work "Spotty" . It's been especially bad in the last week. I couldn't track the dogs at all - no connection to satellite or Cellular. I had a support call. That lady was helpful. we cycled the power - I was told there had been an issue w the cellular provider and this should reset it. That was yesterday or the day before. Then today, it still seemed to work until my dog left the yard area of our ranch in the forest, and there was no connection. The support lady said a good practice is to only use the collar when its working which was not helpful because the problem as I pointed out is that it's intermittent whenever it works or not and I was told its fixed. I was told Id likely pay for any repair. My neighbor has a Halo collar and in the same forest seems WAY more reliable - so if im going to pay for anything, it will be a new Halo collar. Lost my dog today and every dog parent understands the anguish that goes with that. Conclusion: bad product, bad support.

Great piece of gear for active dogs that love to explore. I used the legacy collar .mostly out of cell range in broken terrain. It allows Marni the freedom to exercise and stay busy without me having to fret about her location. resolving The Customer service is excellent, resolving a subscription issue for me. I recently purchased a Nova and a 2 year subscription with the generous military veteran discount and look forward to the enhanced tracking the new collar will provide . Highly recommended for people on the move and camping.

I have two Great Pyrenees that have been using the collars for over 3 years. They both took to them very quickly and the collars have been easy to use. My disappointment has been in the battery life. At this point one of the callers the battery only lasts about 12 hours and the other one lasts about 15. I have resorted to keeping a Tractive collar on them as well because it has a battery life of about 3 weeks. It is not as accurate and does not give corrective measures when necessary but at least it gives me a backup to know where the dogs are should the spot on collar go dead and they wonder beyond the borders.
If battery life could be improved to where it lasted at least several days this collar would be beyond approach by any other in the market.
Matthew A.
We researched all GPS dog collars and kept seeing the great reviews for Spot On. We use it every day with our red lab puppy. Tucker has come accustomed to it and learned very quickly where the boundary is. We have about 3.5 acres for him to roam around on. I love the real time GPS. I use it to keep track of him because he’s only 6 months old. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Blake S.
I purchased two SpotOn dog collars after reading glowing reviews, spending nearly $1,800 total. For that kind of money, I expected a premium, durable product. Unfortunately, these collars have been one of the biggest disappointments I’ve ever experienced with a pet product.
The biggest issue is how incredibly fragile they are. If your dogs do any roughhousing or normal play, the collars break — and they always break in the exact same spot where the antenna wire connects. We’ve gone through four of them now. The original two broke quickly, and SpotOn was helpful at first by sending free replacements. Those replacements also failed within about six months. I’m now down to just one working collar (which has lasted roughly a year), and I’ve had to buy a completely different brand for my other dog.
Beyond the durability problems, the performance issues are frustrating. The collars can be very quirky and difficult to power on and connect. This morning my wife checked the app before letting our dog out — it showed 75% battery and connected. A short time later, the dog came back without the collar, and my app showed it hadn’t connected in 17 hours. The app data was clearly inaccurate.
The battery charging is also unreliable. It often only reaches about 60%, and you have to repeatedly remove and re-seat the collar on the charger to maybe get it up to 75%. For a $900 collar, this level of hassle is unacceptable.
I understand technology isn’t perfect, but when you’re paying nearly a thousand dollars per collar, it should be built to last and perform reliably. These feel more like Play-Doh with electronics than a serious containment system. There are definitely much more affordable options out there that appear to be more durable and dependable.
Very dissatisfied with this purchase and would not recommend SpotOn collars.
Shanon C.
Our big puppy named Gracie was immediately trained and kept safe by the SpotOn Collar. It is a superior product in relation to competitors. Furthermore, the customer service and warranty is incredible, buy with confidence!

We were very apprehensive at first because Spot On was the most expensive on the market…but since they guarantee 100% money back if your pup isn’t successful..we went for it! We have 2 Great Pyrenees guardian pups that were currently in training (by us) when we decided to purchase since they would leave the property on a daily basis!!! Ugh So many sleepless nights and so much time trying to get them to COME BACK to our 30 acres…they wanted to go explore all our neighbors farmland as well. So, while it did take TIME AND EFFORT (using the same training we were doing with the other collars) with the Spot On collars, we are happy to report that as of today they have not left the Perimeter fence in 2weeks!!! 2.5 weeks ago Max went into the woods next to our property for just a few mins but bc his sister Ginger chose not to risk the zap…he came right back! Yay!! We love the ability to change a fence at anytime and make new fences…right when they hear the alert sound they turn around! It’s only been 2 weeks of success but we can now relax a bit more when we head to the store or leave for a few hours. We still work with them and can’t fully trust them yet…but as you know with this breed it is a constant “work in progress “. . Thanks Spot On! We hope it continues to be a successful tool in our training! ❤️

Very disappointed with customer service policy.
I have had Omni Edition for just over 2 years and have sent it back 3 times for issues.
The third time non repairable seeing that's had the same issue every time.
You offered me a replacement for $499. I would have liked to get the new version Nova at a discounted price based on the issues I have had with the omni but based on policy that is not possible. I do understand the policy and but still disappointed for a US based company driven on customer reviews and customer service. I would even be willing to pay a little more for the replacement for the upgrade.
Robert D.
I WISH I BOUGHT ONE SOONER!! I can’t describe how this has changed my life. At a fraction of the cost of installing a fence. This collar trained my stubborn 1 year old pitbull in less than a week. He’s only left the property twice in the last few months and the real time tracking is dead on. Do yourself a favor if you’re unsure of buying one and do it asap. It changed my life!

Collar works! I would like to see a third layer of correction. so in the warning gets the beep, crosses the boundry gets the vibration, Next part is a wish list, goes another 5 yards or so and could get a electric poke this would be great!
She is a 1.5 year old German Shepard, Malamute, Husky mix and pretty sure she has some Hound in there, and a bit hard headed.

You could improve by having a collar that does what you say it does. This one is useless.

Bailey is loving her new off leash freedom!

This may be the best thing on the market for containing your dog, however it isn't my dog that is the problem. It's all the strays and wild animals that aren't trained to stay out of the containment area, that could attack my dog and my dog being confined in the area and can't escape the predator.

This Collar Has Changed Our Lives!! We love it, our 9 month old golden retriever was sneaking over to our neighbors outdoor rabbits, following runners and walkers going past our house and causing significant stress due to her escape antics. This collar has changed all of these bad habits- she stays within the fence line, she knows the noise and reacts to it, regardless where her fence is created. It’s AMAZING, the peace of mind is well worth the price! Also, pay for the tracking, it’s awesome. We live in the remote mountains with dense tree cover and i have not had one issue yet. I love it so much I got my parents a collar and now I can track their adventures with their border collie out in the woods. Can’t recommend this collar enough. Thank You

Loving life unleashed...and loving that the dogs are safe AND we can protect the gardens, too!

My neighbor and I both have the new Nova collar improved both the dogs and our life immensely. One year old and seven month old dogs full of energy. They wanted to play all the time wearing us both out. I had a buried wire fence. Incorporating my fence to his yard would have required quite an effort of time on our part. He found the Nova GPS and as soon as he showed me the APP I was sold. We created fences to cover both three acre properties. The dogs now wear each other out and not us. They love the freedom and we love watching them play and burn their energy not ours ! Thanks SpotOn

I can’t even tell how the collar works because the collar has a charging puck that is not attached to the collar or the charger so we keep loosing it and then can’t charge the collar. I’m not sure why they decided not to connect them. Poor design for such an expensive collar. My sister has one and hers is all connected and she loves it. So disappointment.

We live on a few acres and our Brittany would go over to our neighbors. After a while they asked if we could keep our dog on our property. I began looking to dog GPS fencing collars. We purchased Spot on and the set up was straight forward. We have several places we take him so when we do go it’s nice with the GPS I can see where he’s at anytime. Bottom line I’ve recommended this to several people because it’s so reliable.
We love it.
Thanks

Construction, durability and gps accuracy is good. However… this system will NOT tell you where your dog is without a strong cellular signal! Not worth the cost with out being able to do this in my opinion. Additionally, i could not get a consistent static delivery. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

I have found that the collar is much more reliable when it is fully charged.

Works well but battery doesn't last very long. Keeps dogs in wanted area

Love it. We live by a busy road and our dogs loveto

This Spot On Nova is so so awesome. My lil goldendoodle Tessie at 6 months old was a lil hesitant at first when I showed her the boundarys. After a week she was really golden. I had to take 2 weeks off when I had Tessie spayed. First day back on collar I tried to get her to break the yard line, she said absolutely not. This collar is worth it's weight in gold!!!

Rural application only. Suburban on 1.25 acre is fair to poor on the outer lot line and useless in blocking off the garden.
Fair enough when you read the +/- 10-30 feet. That is a three story building in variance. But useless when you juggle the lot line boundary and the zone, whether it is in the house or the garden outside.
The two stars is the daily variability. I walk the perimeter with the collar in my hand. Flag it and train the pup and the next day the boundary shifts and got bat crazy. My poor pup can’t figure out where to do her business and cowers in the house when I put on her collar.
I believe it would be fine in rural large areas , and I will need to find the sweet spot to keep my pup in the yard +/-
Before you buy or even think of zones, you need 10-20 feet on boundary and zone, which is 40-50 feet. Five story building. Read the fine print.

About a week and a half of training on the leash, teaching him the perimeters. He runs free now, there's even been a couple of times I've forgotten to put the Spot on collar on... But he still stays in his "fenced" areas. Only thing I would like differently, is a remote correction through the app. He blew through the area once, and I would've liked to continue connecting him. Other than that.... Perfect!

Finally peace of mind with this GREAT product. Will recommend it to everyone who I be know

Great product. A bit bulkier than I expected. One collar seems to be malfunctioning once in a while where it sends a shock to my dog. Hasnt happened in a week or so and they all have the same fence drawn out. I bought three. One for each dog.

Gemma responds very well to the fence, when she does cross it’s only for seconds then back. Excellent product thank you.

Greta is a different dog now with the freedom to be outside off leash. We completed the recommended training and within a few days she acknowledged the boundry and is staying in her yard. Greta is a GWP and is very bird driven and she won't leave her boundry even for that. We are all so much happier having this fence. We always say a well exercised (tired) GWP is a good GWP. We couldn't be happier with this purchase, worth every penny.

Able to let dog out in places where I feel there are no porcupines. How does any of you prevent any animal attacks or interactions such as porcupines of dogs killing wildlife ? I can't use this because my dogs go right to all the animals and they need a real fence to keep them safe.

Love the collars. These work great! Dogs learned quick because I already had them trained with tone collars so the transition was super easy. Just walked the perimeter with them on leash while I set it up then walked it with them while I tested so they could hear the tone. Took just 2 days of going out there with them a couple times and walk around directing them towards the house when the tone sounded. They used to wonder and venture far off the property because I wasn’t able to stay out there with them or be consistent with the other tone collars when having the chase three kids around. These collars are great for consistency and keeping them in the yard. They don’t even bark or care when the kids across the street play or when the farmers come into the fields next to us and work on their machines. Absolutely LOVE and highly recommend especially if you don’t want to keep paying for a subscription.

Absolutely love these collars. The dogs have been great and have no issues. Setup was super easy.

Tucker is a 3-1/2 year old rescue. I've had him for a couple of months. He was obviously fence trained by his previous owner and he responds quickly to the warning tones. However, Tuck has a high prey drive and when he's on the hunt he just charges through the line. That's not a flaw in the Spot-on fence, it's just the makeup of the dog. I had to play with the boundaries for a couple of weeks because of the drift. I believe I have it positioned in a way that Tucker has ample room to explore, but not so much that he believes there is no boundary. I think if I did it again I would start small and expand outward with time. Giving him a really large area from the start gave him the impression he had no boundaries.

I have just added a second dog to the family and, of course, a second collar. Training for both was very easy. Both are stubborn dogs and will actually go thru the fence if something really enticing comes along, but both do a 180 and come straight back in. I wish I had known about the new nova collar when I ordered as the Omni was what popped up. I had a few quirks with the first Omni but so far the second one is “spot on.”

I live where there is no cell service and lots of trees. This collar is amazing. My dog was already trained with another collar to help him with recall and such. The training was so easy. He comes back to me as soon as he hears the “beep”. Best invention ever. This collar has exceeded my expectations!

It took a few weeks for our dog to completely figure it out, but now she never gets out. We can shrink her area when the neighbors are putting up hay and our dog immediately knows what is up. We just load the adjusted map.
The best part is the new ability to use the collar as a training collar. Our dog is huge and wants to jump up on the windows to look in. We simply hit the vibrate function and she won't try it again for many days.

We had 2 Omni collars and Hazel chewed on Maggie’s collar till it damaged it beyond repair and Hazel’s collar battery died so we decided to get the upgraded Nova collars seem be much more durable and battery life is very good still have spoty cell reception but that’s probably our location. Very happy overall we can let them out and know they will stay inside fence and they love the freedom (about 3 acres running room)

We didn’t need a fence for our previous dog but our new pup, Huck, was so fast and a busy road was nearby so I thought Huck would never have free reign as we weren’t going to put a physical fence up. Spot on was a great option as the “fence” was so easy to set up. Huck learned her boundary quickly. She LOVES running around our yard and chasing birds to her border.

Once I got past the hard part of paying for the collar/system, it’s been wonderful. I use it at home and at my cabin in the woods. It’s like having a babysitter. My dog loves to wander and explore. Especially when I’m not looking. He has his freedom and I have peace of mind. Had to adjust a little for the fence drift, but I have it set up at both locations and it’s great!

Spot On gives our dogs freedom to roam about our property but keep them out of where they don't belong, like our pool and garden! It's perfect for us and we know where they are at all times.

This collar is amazing. My neighbour has a male farm dog and my female would follow him for kms! I admit I didn’t train her at all but she learned quick! We got the neighbours one but it didn’t work out.
My girl doesn’t leave the boundary at all! When I charge the collar she still stays unless the neighbours dog comes. I have a forest behind my house and it still works. The tracking is great too! I can see everywhere she’s been!
This is the best collar ever! Saved thousands on invisible fencing! I recommend this for any dog that wanders!
Roopal K.
Love the collars and freedom and peace of mind for our dogs and us. Our dogs caught on to the collars right away, they had been exposed to the invisible fence in the past. Spot on transition.

Jasper is 8 months old and has preferred to be outside since we got him at 8 weeks. We purchased SpotOn and it’s been worth every penny. We live on a strange shaped wooded lot and it was very easy to create his fence. He was easy to train. He didn’t love the color at first but now he associates it with outside. It’s been awesome letting him have freedom.

After searching for 2 years I finally found spot on for my great pyraneese. Other than a leash nothing had been able to keep him within the boundary of my unfenced farm. If it weren’t for spot on, Kodah would’ve had to have lived his life on a chain. He has the freedom to roam on my 40 acre farm and I have the peace of mind of knowing he is safe.

I have 2 dogs, 2 collars. The older one doesn't work well in thick forest canopy, which Bertha figured out last year. The newer collar does. That's why she wears the newer collar.
We live next to the National Forest, with wolves. So my girls always wear their collars when we go for NF walks so I can see where they are if they get out of sight. Worth every penny!

Absolutely love this collar and fence. Very easy to train a dog to, reliable and works well. Never had an electric fence before so I was worried it would be difficult to use. Very user friendly and great resources provided for training.
Mikala
We love spot on. Our only issue is we put it on right before we leave the house and sometimes the metal roof interfere with the gps and shows him out of the zone.
Cindy W.
We live in the middle of a 3 acre heavily wooded lot with no cell service. I only use the collar when I'm out in the 1 acre yard area of our property with her, but it gives us both great freedom to work and play unleashed. She gets very excited when I pick up the collar because she knows it means she gets to run and play. She had previous obedience training so training with the SpotOn collar was very easy. I always have treats to reward her for returning within the defined collar boundary should she venture out.

Phenomenal! Total game changer for our 1 year old dog. We recently lost our last dog and got a puppy. She is fantastic, except she kept going over to our neighbors house who also had a 1 year old dog and they would play by the road. We hated the thought of having to keep her tied up for safety, but knew how heartbreaking it would be to lose her for us and our 3 little boys. 1 day with the new collar changed it all! Highly, highly recommend! She hasn’t left the boundary once. Safe pup, happy kids, happy home it’s worth the cost!

This collar transformed our lives for the better. No more running off in the park that we live on. No more chasing deer. No more meandering across the road. No more calls from worried neighbors.
