This product is well made and very accurate. It has saved our Bluetick Coonhound, Bella, more than once. Customer service is also "SpotOn."

I love the SpotOn Collar. I have two dogs, 6 chickens and cows on the way. This collar is a life saver. Keeps every living thing safe and living together happily.

We love the SpotOnGPS Collar.
Our Standard Poodle is 6 years old and went from a fenced in yard in OK to freedom of the woods in NH - WOOHOO! But we still needed to keep him within our property lines and putting up a fence wasn't a viable option. This collar truly saved us so much stress and fixed one of the largest pinch points we had. He can now still have his freedom to play in the woods without a concern of going too far or meandering onto neighbors property (or worse the road!). We are so thankful for this product. It truly saved us and our furbabe.
THANK YOU SPOTONGPS!!

Love this product. One Corgi, 3 horses on 11 acres . Jules , our Corgi participates in all our horse activities. She loves the freedom and so do we.

We have a very outdoor active 110 lb German Shepard whom has access to 2 acres of surrounding property and attached 30 acres of neighbors farm in the winter. We can have confidence our dog is safe with this colar on. The tracking ap is phenomenal and accurate. Just like anything else, on extreme windy days the borders are off a little. Not much! I can open the tracking ap at the comfort of my recliner and know exactly where my buddy is. The ability to save the additional fences, any shape, anywhere I want is a nice feature. We currently have 8 fences we made. The ability to create a no zone ( for garden) inside the fence is perfect. We have had exceptional customer service with Spot On. We highly recommended investing in a safe reliable colar for your loved pet. You will not be disappointed.

As you may notice these are not your typical pets with Spot ons collars on. We house raised the white goat (Tank) with our pit-lab mix and got them a friend at 8 weeks old. With how well they are on command, yes the goats listen pretty well, we wanted to try something a little more freeing for them and purchased 2 of the collars to try, and with their 90 day money back guarantee we couldn't pass up trying it. As of now they love being free even if they want to spend most of the time together and with their big brother and protector diesel our pup they've begun to live life fence free thanks to Spoton. Thank you!

LOVE IT!
We’ve tried multiple in-ground fences and wireless systems with our female American Bulldog, but hadn’t had any luck until now! The training process was very simple. There was one instance when Annie broke through the barrier, but after increasing the correction level slightly she hasn’t done so again. Annie has a very high prey drive, yet she hasn’t managed to break through since that one time when we first started using SpotOn. We love the ability to easily customize the fence area and track Annie when needed. I highly recommend this product!

Oh the freedom!! Freedom to be a dog in the country! We have two Spot On collars and they have been off the charts amazing! It gives our big dogs opportunities to sit outside and sun themselves on the porch or roam around on 3-4 acres anytime without our attention. (If only we could give the neighborhood skunk one to stay OUT of our yard! Ha!). Our Pitty mix has a nose that loves to work overtime and once she’s on a scent there’s no stopping her unless she gets too close to the line to remind her to look up and return to safety. The collar has kept her safe from the traffic on the road and from getting lost in the woods. We even made a larger area to incorporate our neighbor’s backyard so they can play with their dog! We had a slight hiccup with one collar at the beginning but the customer service was EXCELLENT! We recently adopted a new puppy and we will definitely have a third collar once we know what size he will need! Sully and Luci highly recommend Spot On!

We have a very smart and very head strong 6 year old male Yellow Labrador. Our 40 acre farm just wasn’t enough room for him to roam! He was forever racing off the property to run along a busy rural road and explore the closest neighbors yard! We tried training, a manual shock collar (only good if you were watching him constantly) and simply resolved that we’d just have to take him on a leash every outing! Other perimeter collars just didn’t offer the distance we desired since we like to have him join us in walks around the property. After reading about SpotOn and the customer reviews we decided to make the big investment. To be honest, we really didn’t think even this product would work for our beast of a dog! We followed the directions and slowly he made progress in understanding the property boundaries. Our dog sitters LOVE the collar as they too were challenged in caring for him and keeping him on our property. They have access to his SpotOn account too. After three months we are true believers in this product and that it TRULY works. Plus…customer service is top notch! EVERY time I’ve requested assistance I’ve had an immediate helpful response. Thank you SpotOn for creating a sound product that really works. Our Carson is a happy dog with even happier owners!

We live on 4 acres. We have 3 dogs, 2 are golden retrievers. They have always stayed home, but 1 golden has started to wonder to the main road.
The spot on has kept her home and safe. She learnt so fast.

Freyja in her new Spot On collar ready to play ball!
We have 90 acres of mostly heavy forest, a 500 foot section of road on which people drive too fast, and a neighbor, up the hill and across the road, who has an open compost pit. No cell service for miles... As soon as we were engaged in a project, Freyja would slip away and we would call, whistle and eventually buzz her on a remote/collar. Our Spot On collar was an easy transition from the three function remote we had been using. Now we can focus on what we’re doing and not worry about her disappearing; she barks when something interesting is approaching, so we can attend to her and then get back to work.
I wish there was a remote for a call back, and I wish I could use the functions available with a cell plan. I also wish the stimulation did not stop after about ten seconds, but she has only “breached” the “fence" twice, and her barking alerted us, AND she came back when called. I very much appreciate that the collar allows us to be outside, to play with her and to do simple things like rake leaves without worrying that she will take flight.

We have a one year old shepherd cross and live on an acreage. Our little rascal started to venture further than our property and were concerned about her wandering onto the nearby highway. After some researching, the SpotOn system met our needs perfectly. The price of the system is daunting but when compared to the cost and heartbreak of a dog hit by a vehicle - it is worth the price. Set up was very fast and I only had to work with her for a day to get her to recognize what her boundaries were. After 3-4 days she rarely tried breaking boundaries using the collar with low static setting. Because she hangs out with the neighbour’s dog, we set boundaries to include both properties, giving them nearly 20 acres to roam. We are very happy with the system and like the option of being able to see where our dog is when we are at home or away, whether she is at our place or visiting with the neighbours. The instant alerts when she broke boundaries allowed us to quickly react and she also learned to respond to the whistle function on the collar to return home. Our neighbour is happy that their dog has stayed closer to home as well since he would rather hang out with his buddy.

A real game changer for us and our pup Willow. Willow is a Shepherd/husky mix. Very strong willed and a runner. We purchased the Spoton collar when she was 6 months old and it took both of us a bit to click in training with the collar. I took advantage of the 30 minute trainer session (which I recommend!) Because it was me not her that wasn't getting it right. After that it was game on!! Willow runs free and has never ran past her boundaries. I would highly recommend this product and the Spoton company's customer service is top notch. Willow has been leash free for 3 months now and loves it. When we take the Spoton collar off the charger she gets excited because she knows it's run free time!
I also want to add the tracking is awesome as well. We know where she is on our property at all time. One of the best investments we made!!!!
Katie S.
We tried SpotOn after having used Halo collars for our dogs for over a year. The SpotOn collar was at least as accurate as the Halo and we loved that we could use it right away with our dog who was already trained to a wireless fence. With the Halo collar we had to work through their training videos first which was a bit of a headache. I also love that SpotOn is made and support provided right here in New Hampshire, that it gives me a warning when GPS accuracy may be affected (and recommends taking the collar off), and that I can set "stay out" areas. The design of the collar itself seems more rugged and will definitely be easier to clean than the Halo, that has a fabric cover (which gets dirty very quickly with dogs living a more outdoor lifestyle!). We'll be recommending SpotOn collars as a great option for dogs living in the rural area we're in for sure!
Dan C.
We live in the country 6 acres of dense woods the collar works flawlessly!! Neighbors are very serious hunters are dogs are no longer an excuse for them not seeing deer . Thank you !! Only down fall is battery life we get one day no problem but not two.
Tatiana .
Very poor customer service. Don't meant to be used in acres as advertised and big dog breeds. Collars not durable enough. Plastic parts were broken multiple times. We purchased 2 collars and and one lost a GPpS signal. They said it been damage and not under warranty. Where? How? Being on the dogs or on the charger?
Adriane L.
I love on a farm and have 2 dogs that do well outside but our yard is too expensive to fence. This collar is amazing, we took about 4 days training our gsd on leash to know too back up into the safe area when he heard and felt the vibe (who already understood tones and stimulations from collar training). It's the best ever. He has about 5 acres but no access to the barns where the cats live and the barn and field where the horses are. Best thing ever!! Just bought the 2nd for our younger pup this week.
Marc S.
We love the SpotOn GPS system. It’s so nice to be able to take it to friends and families houses and set up a perimeter for whenever we visit. It’s proven very reliable. We’ve had buried wire systems for years and found ours required a lot of maintenance.
Thank you for a great product!
Erin
Collar works great and the customer service team is super knowledgeable on any questions you may have.
Tony
The first day our great pyrenees lgd wore the collar unattended, it was destroyed. Made out of soft flimsy rubber. I do not recommend.
Brianna W.
I needed to add this to my other review and completely forgot! There is a new function on the app for the collars that helps to extend battery life which is great. The latching system for the collar does need a little improvement as it doesn't actually clip into place. It's a catch 22 really. On one side it's nice it's quick release-ish so if dog does get loose, it won't get caught and choked. On the other side, it falls off by randomly coming undone now and then. I fixed this issue for my dogs by running a small hair tie through the fastening hole and tieing it. Also when discussing the GPS drift topic, in the country we don't have as much drift as I figured we would! It's a huge plus really. Just be aware it can happen and plan your fences accordingly!
Brianna W.
Buckle up, it's a long one. Spent about 3,000 dollars on three collars for my dogs. Sharpei, Rottweiler, and Cane Corso. All three dogs were originally trained with PetSafe invisible fence. We had three loose dogs next door and NONE of my dogs EVER left the yard. We switched to SpotOn because we got tired of replacing the inground wire line now-and-then. The Sharpei and Rottweiler do NOT leave the yard. The Corso can walk right through like it's no problem to get to the neighbors loose dog. I gave three stars because: (1) excellent customer service (2) easy app use (3) collars DO work. The other 2 stars they lost because of function and reliability. My big boy is on highest level of correction and a very well trained dog (as i said he never left before switching). If you using these collars for a smaller breed dog it works great. For an extra large breed, I wouldn't fully trust it unfortunately. I don't expect anything in this world to be perfect, but for three grand it should be pretty darn close.

We have had a SpotOn collar for about 2 years and this is my 2 cents.
The main advantages of the SpotOn is the ability to make numerous fences and save them, and the battery life. This is a huge advantage if you are taking your dog to various locations and would like the ability to save multiple fences, or you need a collar that will last the entire day without charging.
The major flaw in this collar is the software and the firmware. About every other time they update the collar firmware (which they do about every 3-4 months) the collar stops functioning correctly, but appears to be working. When this happens the tracking function usually stop working as well, so when your dog leaves the fence, you can't even find him.
At one point a firmware update stopped the collar from functioning altogether, and we had to return it. That was not a huge issue at that point because it was still under warranty, but it isn't any longer, and the next time they kill it we will be out a thousand dollars. On other occasions we have had to reset the collar, reinstall the app, redraw the fences, and various other things to get it to work again.
They also don't give you the option of turning off updates, so they update the app, and you "get" to update the collar to keep it functional.
All that being said, I would not purchase another one. I like the ability to save fences for all the places we routinely go, and having the battery last all day without charging, but the frustrations we have dealt with really make overall an unpleasant experience.

The first color I received broke within a week so a replacement was sent quickly. All was fine during training and Customer service was very quick and helpful to answer questions I had along the way. I was impressed with that in the beginning. The idea of the way the collar is great but needs much improvements. We save the money purchase the collar as it is a big investment. My first complaint is the quietness of the tone of the collar. The volume on it cannot be turned up and my dog doesn’t hear it very well. The company said that it’s designed to work with a hearing of dogs, but it’s way too quiet and when a dog is Distracted, they don’t hear it at all. While it’s noted that satellites fluctuate and to allow a 10 ft varience, They do not fluctuate by 50 feet and our dog often gets shocked sitting on the front porch as well within the “safe zone” Where he’s not supposed to get shocked at all no matter what. There have been times where he doesn’t get a signal or correction of any sort until he is well out of the fence and 2 houses down. We are on 10 acres so they should not be happening. It didn’t start happening until The moneyback guarantee expired. We’ve not even had the collar a year yet, but it’s malfunctioning and customer service will not do anything about it. I’m told that it’s probably the training of the dog, which is not the case at all. It’s not consistent, so it’s almost impossible to train properly. Save your money
Jake B.
This collar is great! Really gives me piece of mind when I’m at work and able to see his location. He got on pretty quick to the collar and even without the collar on he won’t go near the boundary. I recommend this to anyone looking for a gps collar hands down the best!
joel g.
when it comes to getting service when you have a problem with the collar , good luck, one of the worse companies to deal with they want so much information it gets difficult to follow all their request from wanting serial numbers which are one of the things that wear off the back of the collar to receipts when you purchased it I told them to look up when I purchased the satellite service and then they would have it but they would not do that , the collar has stoped charging and or working twice in the first year of ownership , I don,t have time for all this runaround, the collar also shorts out and shocks my dog each time he goes into my garage , will never recommend this collar to anyone
L S.
We were very nervous of spending this much money on a system, but if it worked- it would be totally worth it. We are happy to say it was worth it! We took the time to train our dog (with real meat treats) and after the 3 days we officially let him ‘loose’. We live in the mountains, do we don’t always have a clear view of our boundaries- but after a couple days we had the opportunity to see our dog in real time stopping at his boundaries spots and turning around. This system is a game changer for us. So happy we took the gamble.
Suzanne E.
This is a terrible product. We spent a great deal of time and money trying to get this thing to work for our dog and it just kept shocking her. She’s scared to death of beeping sounds now. The company drug out the process of troubleshooting long enough that we couldn’t get a refund for our $1000. They suggested I sell it secondhand!! I would never try to screw anyone else like they did me. Do not purchase!!!
Amy S.
I couldn’t be happier with the SpotOn Dog Collar. My English Lab, Canyon, loves his freedom both at home and on our farm. I love the option to have multiple fences saved in the app. The GPS tracking feature is fantastic—I can open the app anytime to see exactly where he is in real time, which is incredibly reassuring.
Customer service has also been excellent! When my charging cable recently broke, they quickly sent a replacement after a brief call, which I really appreciated. Having tried several competitor collars that I ended up returning due to poor GPS signals, I can confidently say SpotOn’s performance and service are worth it. I’d recommend this collar to any pet owner looking for reliable tracking.
Joel S.
I got the SpotOn for my dog who would not stay on my property. We had to put her on a lead all the time. After using spot on my dog can roam our full 5 acres and is loving it. Customer service was also great. I made a goof on my order but they helped me get it all figured out.
Shellie W.
This collar has been life-changing for us! We were constantly chasing Daisy away from the road. She would go to the neighbor's houses, and we didn't know what she would get into. We were starting to think we made a mistake getting a dog because it was so much work. She trained so easily with this collar, literally within 2 days! Now we can take her outside and if she's not ready to come inside when we do, we feel comfortable leaving her out. She stays within the fence and away from the road...even when people are riding horses by the house. I recommend Spot On Fence Collar to everyone. I just ordered a second one for our new puppy!
Marybeth N.
We purchased the SpotOn collar for our one year old golden retriever. She has 78 acres to roam, however she was always inclined to head toward the road. The SpotOn collar has kept her safe, and now she is able to enjoy the outdoors as much as she wants without any worry. The collar is so easy to setup and use. The customer service is also pristine. Our only regret is not buying this wonderful product sooner!!!
Bernie B.
Collars work great. Allows my dogs to run through my entire property.
Lisa W.
This collar is a game changer. We do not have to keep checking on our dog. She has the freedom to roam in a well defined area. Training was exceptionally fast. With the app we get any updates regardless of where we are at. Love the collar.
Justin
Great product. Keeps my Very High Energy Draht who thin out yard when I need him to be!
Sue T.
These are VERY expensive collars to continuously have trouble with. I bought my spot on collar, hoping to relieve stress in my life, But the truth is , this collar added stress to my life. It doesn’t appear to work consistently. I am in the country and there are a lot of trees, however, I specifically bought this color because it was supposed to be satellite and work. The corrections static is turned up to full blast, and it does not phase my medium size dog, and she continuously gets out, and then I cannot track her because the collar cannot find her! It’s extremely expensive extremely frustrating and I would not recommend this to anyone that has a stubborn dog or that lives in an area where there are trees. I have a $900 Gray collar that sits on my counter as a decorative, Because I don’t even use it. I wish I had a different route.
Mark G.
This is a great product when it works. Just chased my dog for miles wearing her spot on. Took it off when we got back and walked through her fence and nothing happened. No tone, vibration or correction.
The walked back through the fence and it vibrated.
If you want a fence that works part of the time for a GRAND this is your deal. If you hate your dog buy this.
JENNIFER C.
This is amazing. It is super easy to set up. First turn off the internet on your phone otherwise it interferes with making a fence if you are walking your property to make a map. Once your map is loaded turn back on your phones internet. Then you are all set up. My battery lasts 2 days before needing to charge for 1 hour. My dog loves his freedom. Definitely worth the money. I love it and would recommend to everyone.
Michael T.
We have had the collar on Millie for 2weeks. We have almost 2 acres and a creek. The boundaries allow her around the property but keep her out of the creek. She seems to respect the boundaries well now. Be persistent with the training portion early on. It would be nice to be able to vibrate or tone her from the app at night for recall and maybe be able to turn the collar light on to locate her easier when she goes for night time bathroom breaks.
Christina B.
Collar is great and our basset hound stays within the boundaries. Only issue we have is the collar will slip out of the clasp and fall off. I use the app to go find it, but it is something I wish we could fix.
Logan S.
Please do yourself a favor and stop reading my review and click order. I did extensive research on various options out there, and this one didn’t come up first, but was definitely the best.
I have a Shiba Inu and her breed is known to want to escape and run away. She lived the first four years of her life on leash 100% of the time other than when she would escape from the house and give me a heart attack, trying to track her down.
Getting the collar for her, changed both of our lives. She gets to run around and explore the beautiful 3 acre property that we have, and I don’t have to worry about closing the door behind me when I’m going outside to cook burgers on a nice summer evening.
Her breed is extremely stubborn, and she did initially defeat the fence a couple of times, but that was not a fault of the design, just her being a bullet head.
The ability to establish multiple perimeter is also a really great extra. My dog is with me 24 seven on my job sites and I just set up new zones and I don’t have to worry about her getting in the way of construction vehicles, etc..
Going to experiment this winter with isolating, a couple of ski trails as a boundary for her to learn to ski with me in the backcountry.
The customer service from this company is absolutely top-notch. They have been nothing but phenomenal to deal with.
If you made it this far in my review and you have not clicked order yet you really F#@$%D UP! Stop wasting your time and set your dog free!
Elizabeth F.
Training was easy, the fences were easy to draw and are a snap to edit. Sandy now has the freedom to roam whether I am home, work, or our favorite camp location.

We have a 1.5 year old half lab, half Great Pyrenees and this collar has been an absolute life saver! We have hundreds of acres behind us for him to roam but a busy road in front of us! This collar allows him to live free without concern! The peace of mind was worth every penny.
Jennifer A.
My 1yr. old Aussie has been wearing the collar for 3 months now. I am very pleased with the level of safety that it provides for him and peace of mind for me. It keeps him off the road and out of the neighbor’s horses (always a plus). I’m so glad that I found SpotOn.
Dan D.
When it's not broken, it's fantastic. B aware consumers, this product has a defect at the base of the correction pins. If you have a playful large dog, the pins will bend and break the base of the collar. This is the 2nd time within 6 months we are attempting to replace our guaranteed colar. The first collar lasted 6 mths and was replaced with a refurbished colar. Now the 2nd collar broke in the identical place within 1 week. It's a defect in the material used on the collar and we are patiently awaiting spot on customer service to resolve this issue at their expense. We are not paying more money, $1000 is enough and we expected better quality. Plus we purchased a $150 2 yr tracking plan. Waiting for results!
Matthew M.
I have a German shepherd that is about a year old. I bought this and unfortunately waited to start training him until I was outside of my 90 day trial. It’s the most useless collar I have ever seen. It’s connected to 22 satellites when he takes off and by the time it even warns him he’s 50 yards past the line. Static correction doesn’t even work not to mention the battery only last about 8 hours if that. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Biggest waste of $1,000 I have ever spent.
Carrie H.
love the freedom it gives our dog. We had a couple of false corrections with our metal roof on our home. I called and received help in making corrections to my fence line. I was worried our dog would be too small for the collar, Westie, but she does fine. It did not take her long at all to learn her boundaries.
Peggy R.
The collar is great when it works right and you don't forget to charge it. It has to be charged at least once a day. Surely they can figure out how to make the battery last longer. It also has had times of incessant beeping. This scares my dog and confuses her and she thinks she's doing something wrong when she's not.
Heather
Wonderful and easy to use!!
Hope B.
The Spot On collar has been an absolute lifesaver for our 1 year old Aussie. We live on an extremely busy gravel road and it’s been perfect for keeping her off the road. We live on a farm and it’s been amazing for keeping her away from certain areas of the farm. The next purchase will be a collar for our 8 year old Red Heeler who likes to get into pig feed and the dead pile.
Stacey B.
We recently purchased 2 collars for our 8 month old puppies and absolutely love them!! Training was really easy and tracking/alerts are very accurate. My only regret was not getting them sooner. We suspected our dogs would grow to fit the large collar but were unsure as they are mixed breeds. There is an option to purchase the large collar and also the small strap which makes the large a medium. Wish we had of known this sooner.
Spot on Staff are incredibly helpful! Amazing product.
Danni C.
I bought this collar because, unlike the alternative(s?), it does not require a subscription to use. That means it is owned, not leased, which I consider a bare minimum for a sale.
But the price was shockingly high, and in that light, the product itself is only barely better than disappointing. In brief, here are my issues:
1. No manual.
Everything is "here, watch this video". In app information and instructions are inconsistent with website.
2. No on/off button or indicator.
Collar has a single multi-function button and a single multi function LED. I am yet to find an explanation for the different LED codes. Must pair collar with phone to confirm it is on. Have had my girl escape as a result of on/off confusion because, it seems, charging the collar also turns it on, but again, no indicator on the collar.
3. Prongs are too large and irritate my dog.
My dog is a very short haired breed and tightening the collar enough to keep it from spinning makes her obviously uncomfortable when the electric nodes are installed, even with smallest option. I see no reason why a smaller, rounder node can't be included.
4. Materials seem shoddy
After only 2 weeks of use, and not even daily, the rubber waterproof seal is thinning and beginning to shred around the control box portion of the collar. I expect I'll need a warranty replacement long before it expires if it continues to deteriorate at this rate.
If I had paid $300 for this product, I'd probably still be mildly annoyed with it, but at $1000 all I can really say is that SpotOn has clearly spent more money on marketing than they have on quality. Everything feels like the bare minimum necessary to ward off the worst complaints. For what I've seen, it doesn't even feel like it would be expensive or difficult to have just taken the extra step and not screwed up the issues I listed, but that's obviously not a priority for this company.
Noreen M.
We have a one year old mix of whippet and we think Dutch shepherd. She was taught in two days on our fence for home. We couldn’t believe it.
Recently we went camping on our heavily wooded property up north. We have 54 acres so we created a 2 acre fence for her. One day was all it took for her to learn the fence. We are so pleased with our purchase. Any questions I have I go to the chat on the app. Always answered timely and courteously. Thank you so much for a great product!
Heidi E.
I love the SpotOn system. Not only does it give my dogs the freedom to run on my 40 acres, but it gives me peace of mind. While on vacation recently I hired a pet sitter. I was able to “check in” on my dogs from states away to see their activity and if their collars needed charging. There was an issue with one of the collars and I called support (on a Sunday). They in turn called my pet sitter and walked her through a fix. By far the best customer service I’ve experienced in many years!
Bart C.
I am disappointed in the tracking function. Does not always turn when desired, and there is a lag time when it is on. Collar has to be very very close to change fences. Also for the price of the collar, it would be nice to have a correction capability.
David W.
Sure, I'd be happy to help you write a review for the SpotOn dog collar! Here's a draft you can use:

**SpotOn Dog Collar Review**
I recently purchased the SpotOn dog collar, and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. This product is truly amazing and works exactly as described.
From the moment I started using it, I noticed a significant improvement in my dog's safety and my peace of mind. The GPS tracking feature is incredibly accurate, allowing me to keep an eye on my dog's location at all times. Whether we're at home or out on an adventure, I can always ensure my furry friend is safe.
The setup was straightforward, and the collar itself is durable and comfortable for my dog to wear. The battery life is impressive, lasting long enough to cover our daily activities without needing frequent recharges.
Overall, the SpotOn dog collar has exceeded my expectations. It provides the reliability and functionality I was looking for, and I highly recommend it to any dog owner who wants to ensure their pet's safety and enjoy some peace of mind.

The collar would randomly go off in the middle of the yard or in the driveway and shock the dog. The collar burnt the hair and skin off the dog and she had to go to the vet. The vet couldn’t believe it burnt the dog. I took the probes out of the collar because even on static the collar was still shocking her and one of the contacts is all grey and discolored. Customer service contacted me and said the signal could have directed off of metal and caused this. I do not have a metal roof. They put gps tracking on her for a week for free and that was it. I would not recommend this collar to anyone and would love to get my money back.

Jaunty has a lot of roaming space. BUT 200 yards one direction is a busy road. He now knows he can go anywhere but in the dangerous direction. Works like a charm. We have correction on level 2 and he has only ‘escaped’ twice!

Ginger's life is so much more joyful with her SpotOn collar! She gets to follow her nose all over the yard without a tether. If we lead her through the magic gate (the only one she will exit the "Yard" fence through and change her fence to "Farm," she can wander the pastures and creek with us. We first tried the collar when she was 9 months old and were SO disappointed. She laid down and froze with the tones only. With distractions such as children or ducks though, she would bolt right away. We packed it up and she had to be on leash again. About 6 months later, my husband got it out and started the training process again. Oh my goodness! It was intuitive for her this time and within a week she was enjoying life unleashed. I guess that it was a maturity thing? We have also been extremely happy with the customer service received. It is also an amazing perk that we get to enjoy new innovations that are added to the collar's software. The light and whistle were like a surprise present. This was a big investment that has been totally worth it.

I have had a SpotOn collar for my dog for almost two years. We live in a forested area and have an adopted hound with a very strong prey drive. After a few training glitches and taking advantage of the support trainer, our dog Bree has learned to stay within her boundaries! She happily waits for her collar to be put on in the morning so she can head out the door on a hunt for squirrels and/or deer. She has come to an abrupt stop at her boundary while in pursuit of deer on more than one occasion! The forest mode, the two auditory signals and the adjustable level of shock work for us. I have had to call the help line a few times because of glitches. I have found that the support staff can walk me through any problem that has arisen. They have always been kind and professional in helping me. I would highly recommend this collar and its support staff!

We bought spot on collar a few months ago. we have 25 acres and 24 of it is heavily wooded, we have never had any issues with Tar leaving the property. Recently my fatyer accidentally took the charging base with the collar and put in on the pup and they were so quick to replace the charger free of charge. While waiting on the charger Tar knocked his collar off (never happened prior) but I called again and spoke with Olivia and she was so kind and understanding and help send me a replacement in just a few minutes. They genuinely seem to care about the customer (human and canine) I'm definitely buying another collar for the new dog who someone threw out near us and decided to adopt us. It's worth every penny and I've never seen a company so dedicated to customer satisfaction. 5 stars and all my praise. Thank you for all you do

I raise and train Belgian Malinois and those who know the breed understand the athletic abilities. Well my fences are a mere suggestion to them hehe. I have 2 especially that like to wander around the outside of the fence. Did my research and these collars always came out on top. Let me tell you, they are leaps ahead of every other product out there! When I can afford them my other 6 will have them! The zones you can add is perfect! Pull the trigger people! You WONT be disappointed ! Oh and the customer service…. Never had a better experience with anything in my life!!

We have two dogs, Duncan (almost 3yo Black Lab rescue) and Dabo (almost 2yo Rat Terrier). We live on about 20 acres with a creek running through the back. Duncan had the bad habit of running into the swamp and chasing deer outside the yard into the road. For safety, exercise, and general wellbeing, we decided, after a fair amount of research, to try Spot On Collars. Dabo picked it up very quickly and Duncan has it down now (it took him a little longer and we figured out if we did our best to line up the fence with a physical indicator - like a line of trees, it helped). Now, we are able to let them run around and play - especially with going back into the office a few days a week, it’s been so good for them to get their energy out and not feel so cooped up. We’ve taken them on vacation and set up additional fences with great success. It’s been good for them and good for us! We’ve been using the collars in earnest for a solid year - had one incident where Dabo was running so quickly, it preemptively gave him a warning but he turned around without incident. We did have to send back the collars for replacement batteries but the transaction went smoothly and quickly (and was free except for maybe shipping?). The doggos can be pretty rough playing around, so I didn’t really see this as a big issue. Anyways, great product, great service, happy dogs!

So far so good! Calvin is shepard english mastive mix, that loves to run. The app is easy to use and the training videos are helpful. I choose this collar because of the reviews and the forest mode. Calvin is staying with in the fense.

Collar does as thet say. Work great for a anopolian sheppard. But 1st collar didnt even last a yr. I was lucky they did replace it since it wasnt over there yr warranty. The second collar has now failed and it just seems there quilty is not up to standards.
With this being said and the Halo3 now half of the price since this collar wilk be lucky to last a yr. I will be trying out the Halo 3 collar.

While the idea behind the color is great, our family is not able to accommodate all the hiccups and special adjustments the device needs to function properly. As a result, we can’t use the device we spent so much money on because we can’t trust that it’s actually working. Sometimes it doesn’t charge, other times it charges but loses the GPS. Occasionally, we have to follow a protocol of unplugging and replugging the charger three times and holding the button for 25 seconds. In the end, it’s too expensive for what it delivers to our family. I called customer service, but they didn’t show any empathy, and now we’re waiting for a supervisor to return our call.

Great customer service and the collar works exactly as I hoped. It keeps my dogs in my yard. I highly recommend this collar.

We bought the collars last year when it became evident that my dogs weren't going to resist temptations off the property. One of those was the neighbors LGD that would regularly come by and start fights. We have a commercial orchard that means we cannot physically fence the property. We have tried various wireless fences in the past with little to zero success.
We are so happy to have found SpotOn!
I can relax now when i have the dogs outside with me and am occupied doing other chores. I know the dogs are on the property and are safe from vehicles etc.
This fence system has changed our lives for the better!
And any time I've had questions or concerns with the collars, the customer service is outstanding.
I've told all of my friends and family about these collars.
Thank you to SpotOn for a much more safe and happy life with my dogs!

My life has changed since we got SpotOn this week. It was easy to set up and works perfectly. Gone are the days of the rope! Gino is getting familiar with the boundaries and is now free to roam our property. We did a lot of research and chose the best product for us. Thank you so much for a great product! Chris, Robert and of course...Gino!

I am very dissatisfied with this collar. We have tried using it and when my dog is in the safe zone it vibrates and shocks her, We live close to the boundary but it is still in the safe zone according to the app. The app also says that there is no signal for tracking when she is in her zone and I have my cell phone with me which is using cellular service. I would like the 90 day refund and I will send the collar back along with my subscription. the collar was purchased Aug 20th and I am within the 90 day return period. This collar is not a good fit for us.

Best system I’ve ever used !! I have used a competitor for at least 20 years and multiple dogs on a wired system. Recently tried that competitors gps system and ran into all kind of issues. Poor gps signal, poor lte service, just not reliable. Tried SpotOn and will never use anything else !! My land is heavily wooded and the service is extremely acccurate and dependable ! I have 2 labs already on it and we also have a 6 month old lab, just waiting on his neck to get big enough for the collar. Best product ever !!

I purchased a Spot On collar for our golden retriever. We have several unfenced acres for him to run on, but he liked to visit neighbors without permission and to chase wildlife off our property. We followed the training videos and he caught on fairly quickly although we doubled the number of the minimum suggested sessions. We did have to use the static contact points for him to get the point but it did not take long and we did not need to go above level 5. We taught him that when he received a shock, that he was to run home and get a nice treat. He is now allowed to run the property off-leash, he stays on the property, and has not visited the neighbors alone since training. We still keep him under visual contact and will for a couple more months. This was money well spent.

The collar is WONDERFUL. I have a rambunctious, 1y/o Aussie and the collar gets his attention and keeps him safe. Set up was easy, the map is clear and very crisp. I wasted my money on that other collar that starts with an H….don’t go that way. SpotOn is well worth the extra investment…IT WORKS!!
STEPHEN W.
Great product. Very easy to set up and create a perimeter for your dog. Easy to use software. Being able to monitor your dogs whereabouts through the app is a big relief and allows you to find your dog quickly anywhere on your property.

So far works great!

We've had Spot On for about a month. Live on a four acre property with a 10# Lab/Golden Retriever mix. Problem was that she could only be let out with a tether (50'). Looked like a fence was in our future. Then opted to take a chance on Spot On. Only took one training session and she was good to go. She is free to chase the deer, or whatever, away from our small orchard without leaving the property. She's established her own boundary about 15' from the collar's first notification. Has not once been corrected (have at a '4' level for training) since the first day. She's excited to get the collar in the morning before breakfast.

We've had some success with these collars. The recent temptation of rabbits outside the fence boundary has meant that our dog are now busting the permitter and recently one of our dogs was found miles away. We have some heavily wooded parts that might be how the dogs are escaping or perhaps they're simply ignoring the static correction. A really helpful feature would be to have the collar record its location periodically for viewing later (not real-time) so we could determine exactly where the problem is.

We have had 3 collars since April and each collar has had to be replaced several times!!! There are always issues with the satellite and connection. We were happy in the beginning but after the 90 days we seem to call at least 1x a week and have issues. One rep will say yes it’s poor satellite coverage in your area (oddly usually only 1 of the 3 collars we have will have poor coverage )
and another rep will say this only happens to us…. Would not recommend these collars!!! The only plus is that the customer service reps are very nice and do try to help troubleshoot. Just frustrated with the issues and the cost !!!

We had a wired perimeter system before Spoton, so our dogs were already trained to know their boundaries. We set up the Spoton wireless fence in the same location as the previous one and after 1 pass around the 6 acre perimeter, they were "trained"! It couldn't have been easier and we couldn't be happier. We can now rest easy knowing that our new "fence" won't be compromised by tree roots, lighting strikes or armadillos. It was WELL WORTH the money!!!

This fencing system has been a complete game changer and worth every penny. This fence has worked out perfectly for us and the dogs. We followed the training video and the cow dog took to it right away. He turned back at the first sound. The bigger dog still tries to test it once in a while, but she never goes past the designated fence. I sincerely love the fence. Is it possible to have a collar with a buckle instead of the clip? Older folks, aka me, have arthritis in their hands and find the clip extremely difficult to remove. The collar and fence is truly wonderful.

So far it works so much better than her previous collar that starts with an "H" and ends in "alo." The GPS fence works so well and I love the safety zone inside the fence. The previous collar would occasionally give emergency feedback inside our house, so we would have to remove it when she was inside. The only drawback is the cellular tracking subscription. We tried it but have almost no cellular signal in our area (Pocono mountains). We tried it for a couple days and knew it wouldn't work for us. However, since the fence itself works so well, we have found we don't need to track her. If you are reading this and are on the fence, so to speak, or trying to decide between these top two brands, I will tell you from our experience to go with the spot on. We still have one more of the other named brand collar, so we are still doing a literal side by side comparison with our corgis. The spot on has been consistent in keeping her contained whereas the other brand hasn't been able to keep up gps signal wise (a constant issue), letting that pup escape. I love love love the forest mode since we are in the mountain. 13/10 stars, highly recommend spot on!

I have been using SpotOn Fence for approximately a month. My wife and I love it. We live on 40 acres with overhanging trees. Our concern was not the property line but the road. Our house sits back 150 feet. Curiosity of what is down there killed the cat. We didn't want the same for our dog. Received collar, set the fence with the app. We fine-tuned the fence to allow the dog to view the road but not go on it. The customer support was excellent. The unit is pricey but worth it. The coverage is good. Adjusting the fence is simple.
Michael B.
As explained the fence not fixed. It moves according to the satellites. You must consider this.
Disturbance occurs with any metal building or roof and house which are close to your home.
The ‘home’ is not overwriting the fence. If your home is to close to neighbor your dog can’t use this area. Make the under different weather conditions and also day and night.
Good is you can create fences for any location under the sky. Don’t forget to test it.
My dog learned quickly to respect the boundaries, but still get sometimes a warning or if he to fast a lightning reminder. So, he is avoiding specific areas in total. With the support from my neighbors I could expand the fence into their property where possible. We have no physical fences between our neighbors.

We have been looking for a solution that would allow us to take our bullterrier mix outside off-leash. Our wired invisible fence was ineffective because our squirrel chasing machine would blow through the boundary before she could be corrected. SpotOn is just what we needed. Set up was easy and training was quick. We have a little over an acre and about half is wooded. The boundary is enforced consistently, even under tree cover. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I needed to keep my dog out of my neighbors yard and away from the street. I was very nervous he would run and get hit by a car. I was quoted $21,000 to install a fence in our backyard and was very stressed about how I was going to make this work. My sister told me that SpotOn worked amazingly well for her large lab, so we purchased the small collar for my mini poodle. Within a day, he understood the system and was staying within the boundaries of our fence. He doesn’t leave the yard even when tempted by other dogs and people walking by. I saved $20,000, don’t have to look at an ugly fence, and have gained complete peace of mind. Thank you!!!!!

Great product. We started early at 5 months and our lab got it quite easily. It takes some training but we were surprised at how quickly it happened. Also really appreciate talking to a real person here in the US, super helpful team. Thank you!

We live on an odd shaped 26 acre property, with several neighbours close by. We struggled to keep our Collie Merema cross home; half the neighbours would pet and play with her, and the other half would call the county bylaw officers! We tried a few different methods to keep her home, and hated the idea of having her tied up all the time. After researching quite a bit, we found Spot On systems, and it works like a dream! One of my favourite features is the fact that the face is directional, meaning she can return home without being triggered if she does cross the line!
My advice is to be sure you do the initial boundary training to ensure success. Highly recommend!

This GPS collar is an anxiety saver for the dog and the owners! We took in our 6 y/o hunting lab from a family who had to move. Prior to bringing her home, I replicated the same kennel system with access to my heated shop as the previous owners had. She would bark all day and not a situation I felt good about. We started to research collars and loved everything about Spot-On so we took a chance. We also did not want to be held ‘hostage’ by the competitor with a monthly subscription. It took one day of training and she only crossed the barrier one time chasing a squirrel. She now has full access to our 3 acre property and is one very happy dog. We seriously couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

We did a lot of research on collars. SpotOn had great reviews. After about 8 months, we had a collar battery that stopped charging. I called warranty and they sent me a brand new replacement collar and a return label to ship the bad one back. We love our SpotOn for our border collies on the ranch!!!
Mike K.
SpotOn works good the only problem I am having is in the very back of my property it seems that the satellite moves. Some days she will be up to the fence and other days she stays back ten to fifteen feet and some times she still runs through it. She is only four months old she seems to be learning we’re the boundaries are. Still needs more training I am working with her

We have 3 spot on collars for our larger dogs to roam 30+ acres. The collars work great and if you have any issues SpotOn customer service is quick to respond and help you! Thank you for helping to be unleashed!

I love it, and the tracking is awesome!
Rett K.
We love our Spot On collar. Our dog accepted it immediately. It allows us the flexibility to instantly create a fence when we travel. At our lake house, we are able to extend the fence into the water so that she can swim anytime she wants.
Just as importantly, when an issue came up with the collar, the warranty department responded extremely quickly. They stayed in touch throughout the process and returned the collar quickly.
Would definitely recommend this product and company.

Buyer beware. We purchased 2 collars. One of them is defective and customer service does nothing to help after multiple calls and complaints. One collar works and connects without issues. So it’s obviously an issue with the 2nd collar. It would be nice if they would replace it. But they keep trying to say it’s our issue. Not sure how that can be our issue when the one collar works without issues.

collar works great with a GSP. Collar cell connection is not very good. App displays that the cell connection is "Good" but then the next minute says that the collar or cell phone connection is bad. Live only 3 miles from a tower, but collar says that the collar can't be connected to, because of a poor cell connection. Phone connection is always good.
