Easy to set up and effective on my 6 month old Black Mouth Cur.

We have 3 vizslas and live on 60 acres. With elk taking down the fences it’s hard to keep them in when they are chasing birds. We no longer have to make sure we I my have one outside at a time. Such a great feeling to know they will stay home. It was hard to spend the money to do this but all we can say we wish we would have done it sooner. It’s been about 3 weeks and so far all I can say is amazing.

Seriously love it. We have four dogs but only got two collars because of affordability and mixed reviews on gps collars as a whole. But I’m definitely glad we went with Spoton. The dogs learned quickly where their boundaries were, they can now roam all five acres freely. Any time we get an escape report it immediately says “your dog has returned”. I figure that’s just them still testing their limits randomly. But it really has been a life saver for our dogs out here in the country. One of ours is an amputee from wandering onto the main road, and this keeps her well away from it with ease.

Our girl Esther is now free! Her first six months were spent on leash. The training was super easy and completed in two weeks and now she has full access to our entire yard. Setting up the fence wasn’t too difficult. Can’t wait to try it out on an adventure, but for now she can patrol the yard at her leisure. We love this collar!

I have never left a product review before but this SpotOn collar is too good to not review it. I have a 11 month old Australian Shepherd mix puppy and I could not let her off the leash because she would take off. I tried all the training techniques I could find and nothing worked so as a last ditch, desperate decision I bought the SpotOn collar and the results have been incredible! I wish I’d have done it sooner!! We worked on the training less than a week and she’s like a different dog. Stays in her yard and is able to be outside off leash without me worrying about her. Setting up and changing the fence is super easy and the tracking feature gives that extra added security. I highly recommend the SpotOn collar!

Finally getting around to writing the review. We purchased in February, and it took some time for the weather to cooperate so that we could start the training with Quigley. We were very cautious as we live on a country road and the vehicles go by the house at high speeds. The front of the house is close to the road, but the back yard is wide open with no worries, so our fence is shaped accordingly. At any given time, there are at least 25 - 30 satellites tracking Q, so we have peace of mind. The training took several "walkabouts" over a few days, but he figured it out quickly. We did have to set the static to a low level to reaffirm the boundaries, but after two corrections he got it. We can now sit on the back deck or work in the garden with no worries. There are plenty of distractions: Rabbits, Squirrels, birds, dogs on either side, deer every day near our apple tree, etc. He has chased all of them but has always stopped at the boundary and barked. We're now purchasing a second collar for his brother who comes to visit on occasion. We highly recommend this product!

I couldn't be more over the moon with the SpotOn GPS fence!! I have 2 tiny things I wish I could change - 1. would be the volume of the first alert sound. It's so faint and very hard to hear, and my dog often doesn't notice it, but thankfully, the second alert is louder and has a better tone that gets her attention right away. 2. Can't tell if the collar is on or not. You have to check the app to see if it's on. It's super tiny stuff that could be in a future update:).. but I'm thrilled, and it's 100% worth every penny !!!
I have been telling everyone I know about this product!!
● Setup- super easy and user-friendly!
● Adding and removing fences - so easily and for a person who travels and camps often, this has made camping more freeing and enjoyable for me and my dog! She can be free, and I don't have to worry about her exploring areas I don't want her to go.
● Collar - is made out of get material. Nice and secure. I thought it might overheat, but I had it for a month now, and it's cool to the touch every time, and my dog has no issues wearing it. She doesn't scratch at it or anything. It seems to be comfortable for her when she's wearing it.
● training was a breeze! My German shepherd picked it up in one day! Which was terrific, but she's quick, and I would follow their excellent training guide for dogs with experience with collars or responding to alert sounds. She had already been e-collar trained, so this was easy for her to pick up on.
● safe zones are a remarkable feature! This has been a blessing due to the metal roofing on our pavilion. It interfered with the GPS signal and caused it to go off, but added it as a safe zone, and now there are no issues with her going under there.
●keep out zones - have to be larger than 30 ft, which makes sense for the signal, so used for a little but then removed bc one alert, and now she doesn't go near the area.
BEST PURCHASE OF MY LIFE! It allows my bog full access to our 5 aces and keeps her away from the road! And safe on our property, which is very rural and has lots of hunters. Now I can rest easy letting her outside to play.
THIS IS A MOST HAVE FOR DOG OWNERS! I can't say enough about this fantastic product.

I love spot on. My 14 week puppy was able to learn the collar in about 10 minutes! Also we live in the middle of the woods and the collar is very accurate! We love life unleashed! My only disappointment is the collar does not last all day. Most I can get out of it is maybe 10-12 hrs and I am not using tracking or any of the advanced features.

This collar is great and has been a game changer for unleashing our dog!

Love everything about this collar! Keeps my big dogs safe & out of trouble!

It has been awesome 1st dog took 10 minutes. Other dog more stubborn took about 4 days to train. Had to call customer service and she was great. Walked me through the particulars. Dogs are happy and I’m happy. Now that they are trained ton my 2 1/2 acre plot. When the bring them home I have an invisible fence and they should take right to it. So happy with product. 5 stars from me. Love it

This collar is absolutely awesome, I have read all of the neg reviews and I can say that I have not experienced any of these issues. It is easily configured, and I have multiple fences saved for quick recall some as small as 1/2 acre one as large as 35 acres. I have witnessed a couple false corrections while indoors, I simply set up the safe zones and the issue was quickly resolved. My GSP has a lot of spunk and drive to hunt and this collar keeps her in line without issue. When in a new location I walk the boundary with her on a leash and then let her go and I have had zero breakthroughs.

The customer service with this company has been wonderful - such a blessing! Thank you!

I followed the training steps, and within 2 weeks, we are leash free! My husband was skeptical, but now he calls it a Miracle. We have a very tenacious dog, but he learned quickly and we now are all enjoying leash free living.

This review is customer service... I've had the collar over 2 years, have some medical/mobility issues so I finally got someone to help train maybe 1.5 acres, plenty of trees. My 4 year old Anatolian Shepard is smart, understands the collar when with me or trainer. He's pigheaded & big (150lbs lean). Not sure if the fence will work without supervision but works perfectly with supervision.
Long story longer, I have called customer service a few times, mostly because I was dumb. You get someone who works there, not a call center. After 2 years the charger broke & I ordered a new one expecting to pay but they just said "it's on the way". They have been great each time I called.

We have had underground fence for years and our dogs were trained on that and had done very well. When I had to trek through the woods and over bees nests to try to find the break in the wire for the 100th time, I said enough was enough and bought Spot on. I am kicking myself for not doing this before! We kept the same boundary so we didn't have to train our pup but the collar is not intrusive, the setup on the app was quick and super easy and our Basenji mix continues to love life unleashed!

Customer service is excellent

Don’t like the tags that dogs either ate or lost shouldn’t have loose items on collar ! Mostly happy but connection for two collars seems a bit slow …lot of cash so that was expected to be more responsive quickly ….
Cole
The collars are awesome. Only thing I’m not impressed with is the battery life. They claim 25 hours but it’s more like 14 hours
Pa L.
We have been at the lake of a month and she stays within her fence with no problem she know when the collars is off she can go on a boat ride or golf cart ride and at 7 months of I think this is Amazing
Kathryn .
We got the SpotOn fence for our Great Pyrenees dog! He has done well with other invisible fences collars but we’ve always had the fear of him wandering since that’s a very well known trait of the breed and we wanted to be able to have the peace of mind to see his location when we aren’t at home. The setup was simple. He adapted to the collar and training sounds very well. Our only complaint is the battery life. I do worry that the battery could die if we are gone all day or if he were to get out of the fence and it might die before we were able to locate him which is the whole purpose of the collar. So far our battery only lasts about 12 hours from being fully charged.

Awesome Customer Service!

This collar was great at first ! We trained our dog perfectly to it. Then we had issues with it going off randomly in the house while on our dog. I emailed someone through this website about it. No answer. Then our dog started getting out randomly. We tested the collar to make sure it was working, and it was. I noticed my dog walks slowly to the perimeter of the fence Then waits till the beeping stops and walks slowly again and makes his way through every time the noise stops. I emailed someone again wandering if we got a defective collar. No answer. I wish there was a Manuel way to correct with a shock to get him to come back. I am worried he will get hit by a car. I feel like we wasted our money if it only works for a few months.
Jon S.
I would definitely not purchase this collar. After receiving the collar it almost immediately didn’t work. After talking to customer service they informed me it was a bad batch and would send another collar. Got the second one and pretty much the same story. Never works and you just have to keep calling customer service to figure out why.
Megan S.
We love the collar when it’s working. We’ve owned it for about 6 months and have had to report several issues. Mostly with it not charging fully. We’ve had to have the charging base replaced twice, while they have been great about replacing parts for free, it had caused several interruptions in the monitoring of our dogs location. Most recently. We informed customer service that the collar is no longer charging despite getting a new charging base. We’ve had to ship our collar back for repair (under warranty). But as I’m reading the warranty guarantee, it’s only once and for one year. Now our dog is without a collar to track him For about 10 days. We live on a farm and he has 100 acres to roam, but still does go outside that area. We were offered no solution in the meantime. There is no reason the collar should be broken this soon. It has undergone normal wear and tear with a dog running around with it on for 10-12 hours per day. Not sure what we’ll do if it breaks again after the one year warranty is up, but will likely be purchasing another brand.

This collar has saved our dog's life and independence. We live on 5 acres but our house is close to the road. She is very nose driven. One morning when we let her out the back door she put her nose up and bolted. The garbage truck was down the street and before we could do anything about it she was gone and after that smell. When we got her back to the house we knew we had to do something. We debated several different options but we travel with her a lot and decided a gps fence would be best to create multiple fences at different locations. We have had the collar for about a month so far and it is working great. Even if she gets after a rabbit or squirrel she will not cross the fence line. For her we did have to use the shock option because when it came to a squirrel the vibration did not phase her and she would blow right through the fence line. We only need level 5 of 30 on the shock settings. It was a big investment but still less than half price than the quote we got for an underground fence installed on our 5 acres. Time will tell how well the product holds up but one month in it is working great!
Steve
Really works well I have 2 one has cell service and one without like the one with cell service I hope I can still add to the one without
Wayne S.
Our Pyrenes has escaped the boundary about a half a dozen times over the last month and a half. When she did leave it was not for very long or go very far outside the boundary. only twice has she left for longer than a min or two. I turned up the static shock from 5 to 15. So far do good. I would like to see a button on your system that allows a manual static correction. This would allow for greater training without the need for 2 collars.

Been using Halo since December of 2023 , it was not worth what I paid for it and did not keep my Boston Terrier contained and it always gave corrections at times it was not needed including when he was in the house and it wouldn’t give corrections at the right time to keep him from escaping the yard . The only good thing I could say about that collar is when he did escape it did at least save his life from getting into the street and getting ran over or getting lost because the collar does have a feature to guide him back to his boundary and safe back home other than that it has been nothing but a hassle . Plus with the corrections going off when he was not even near the boundary or when he was in his own house kept him confused is the biggest reason why the collar did not work for us and interfered with properly training him to respect the boundaries . A month ago I saw Spot On advertised on Facebook , I went on their website and saw they had way more better features then Halo and their boundary accuracy was highly rated compared to Halo and they use several more than satellites than Halo which makes a huge difference when it comes to the collar doing corrections at the right time when needed so it doesn’t confuse the dog . It gives a warning 10 feet from the boundary and again 5 feet from the boundary if the dog ignores the first warning and then if they ignore the second warning and cross the boundary then they get a vibrate or a static shock . The static shock is optional and has several levels from 1-30 , Halo has only 15 levels which I didn’t feel was strong enough for a hard headed dog like mine . Unfortunately that’s they type of dog I have so I have no choice but to use static shock on him and it has worked very well so far and I’ve had the collar 3 weeks now and he has had only 1 correction , with halo between him being so stubborn and the collar not correcting him at the right time he would get warnings and emergency warnings just about everyday and there were many days he didn’t get any which would result in him leaving the boundary . It got to the point I didn’t feel secure with the Halo and didn’t trust it to protect the safety of my dog . I was getting really frustrated with it and the ad popped up on Facebook and I’m glad it did , it’s like it was meant to be . Before I actually bought Spot on , I did quite a bit of research with independent reviews between Halo and Spot On . There were more cons with Halo and Spot On had more pros , so far with my experience between the two collars , Spot On wins hands down . I wish that I had known of Spot On a lot sooner because it would have saved me a lot of headache but it’s better late than never . This will be my wireless fence of choice from now on and I will definitely recommend them to any one looking to purchase a wireless fence that actually trains their dog to respect their boundaries and keeps them safe .

I purchased this collar in March 2024 and worked with my dog for about 3 weeks. Then I retired and decided maybe I could train him without the collar so I returned it, with no problem. Two months later I realized I did need the collar, so I bought it again. I'm nervous as heck about making it work without traumatizing my sweet dog (we have about 15 acres). I have spoken with about 3 difference customer reps and they have all be great. Just today I set up the new fence with the new collar and spoke with Jake, he was completely patient with this 'ole gal' we set up the fence, home zone and he gave tips. All their employess at A+. He left me feeling confident and excited to use the fence (and to not make a big production out of it, just wear, train a bit, treat/reward and my smart boy will get it quick). Thanks Jake and SpotOn!

Minnie absolutely loves being outside, especially in the winter time. I adore this collar, it is so nice to be able to let her be outside as long as she wants without having to worry if she’ll run off or not. I can be inside cooking and just occasionally check my phone to see where she is. Setting up the fence was extremely easy, I like how you have different options to set your fence up. 100% worth the money, I recommend this to all dog owners

When the collars had the prongs on and were "one finger" right, BOTH of my dogs developed sores on their necks. I believe this was caused from the prongs rubbing into their skin. We were told by both the trainer and the info I read, that in order for the static to work, the collar had to be so tight that only one finger fit in. After a couple of weeks of wearing their collars that tight (wearing during the day, removing them at night), there were several sores on both dogs' necks. Now we are basically using the collar as a GPS tracking device since we can't use the prongs.

Keeps my stubborn dog in anywhere. Bought another one for our other dogs. Will recommend to everyone I know!

We have a Dog Watch invisible fence. It has a wire buried in the ground and we have had zero issues with it. We bought three SpotOn collars for our dogs because we are pretty certain that buried line from the Dog Watch fence will get cut when we have our forest mulching done next week. After the mulching is complete we planned to extend the wire to give the dogs more space. To make a seamless transition we though why not try out SpotOn since there is a free trial period and ITS ON SALE!! I walked the property line within the road that cuts through and stayed away from the road. The Dog Watch uses only static correction but the sound and vibration of the SpotOn collar is enough. Actually just the sound is. I did not even train my dogs. I tried but they are so use to not going past a certain area - they don’t explore. That’s a bummer since they can if they wanted to. Either way that wire is most definitely getting cut next week. I have had lots of questions along the way and tech support is amazing. I just email or text and I have my answers promptly. I definitely recommend this collar.

SpotOn is a great way to keep your dog where you want. The customer service is amazing and you get a live person that assist you with you questions right away.

Purchasing the Spot-0n collar and setting up the fence has been a pleasant experience saving us countless hours of worry spent calling and looking for our pup. What a wonderful feeling knowing he is safe.
The support team went above and beyond at every step. I had several questions as I was deciding which GPS fence I should purchase. Your personnel explained how the system worked and assured me that I would have ongoing support as I set it up. They even helped me get the right collar size for my Aussie who is 1 year old and had a borderline collar size. This helped me to understand that Spot On was my best option.
I ordered the fence which was quickly delivered. Using the online tools I followed instructions and set up a basic fence around our home. I started the training and at the end of the third day we were ready to turn on the static correction.
Obi-Wan fully understood the system. He only attempted to leave twice. He was chasing a deer and went too close to the line but he halted and came back instantly. Te second time was very much the same except it was a turkey that flew up into a tree. That time he breached the fence and returned within seconds.
We had an incident where the collar was correcting him in the house. I called for support and JC helped me set up a safe zone in our home because we have a metal roof. At that time they also helped me perfect my fence on the perimeter to make it more effective. They explained the rationale for edits along the way.
Only 2 weeks have passed and I must say that I am grateful for Spot On Fence. The product and the amazing support team has reduced the dog stress in my life. This has been money well spent
Joe C.
I have been using the spot on for about a month and mostly works great!!! Every now and then the fence moves more than I would expect but I set up the fence to take this into consideration. I did have issues with "walking the fence" to set up boundaries but manually drawing them worked well. My dog has quickly learned boundaries and now only needs to hear the tone to know to stop.
Chad
Product works amazing. I encountered some issues with shipping (no fault of theirs) so I called their customer service number. The representative was tremendously helpful and offered great advice that resolved the problem. I usually neglect making reviews but this company is a pleasure to do business with (a very rare experience these days). Money. WELL. Spent.
Jennie
We have tried multiple invisible fences. This is the only that felt reliable enough to trust letting our Lola outside without having to watch her! We were almost to the point of putting in another buried fence but with the mole problem we have we really wanted to avoid that. The set up of the fence couldn’t be easier and to edit the border lines from your phone is a breeze! Definitely would recommend!
Nick B.
YouTube reviews of this collar is what made up my mind to purchase the spot on gps fence. It was the accuracy of the fence line which made up my mind.
The price is high for what you get. For damn near $1,000 dollars, you would think that you would get a titanium collar that is indestructible and flawless! They are not!
I purchased two collars for my two Dobermans. Out of the box, one collar had the logo half peeled up and fell off in my hand. After charging them and powering on, I noticed that one collar was lower on battery percentage than the other, and that collar, I have noticed is not as precise as the other. I would think for the price of $2,200 for the two collars that they would be flawless! They are really tough collars and work very well, but they are not identical in build quality and for that price, I would think that the logo would not be glued on and for that price, your dogs name should be engraved into the collar to help identify which is which when purchasing multiple collars!
All in all, these collars work great! My dogs grasped the working of the collar quickly and obey the boundaries very well! I would definitely recommend the collar to anyone not wanting to spend high prices of putting up a physical fence around your yard. We didn't and we're glad we went with the spot on gps collars because you literally have a fence where ever you go with the unlimited fence maker. Anywhere we take our fur babies we set a boundary for them to adhere to and they do!
Adam A.
Absolutely the best thing I’ve ever purchased for my dogs! The dogs learned their 5 acre boundary and adjusted to the collars within 2 days. The collars were a cheap investment compared to a traditional fence! Highly recommended!!
ROBERTO M.
Our dog after 3 to 4 weeks pretty much understood the concept. Even now if she does escape the fence, she comes right back in.
Jeffrey M.
Love it,just wish the charge would last longer.
Connie R.
Worth every penny. Wish I would have gotten them sooner.
Emily D.
Such amazing customer service. Great support and seemed to work really well but I have a 15 pound dog and though his neck is 10” it was so bulky for such a small dog so I ended up returning it.
Daniel N.
Works great for me!
I live in a very heavily wooded mountainous area of Montana with no cell coverage. My dog Molly was mostly trained to the system within an hour of simply testing a few of the boundaries I setup in the app, which was very easy. She has about 3 or 4 acres of area to roam, and hasn't breached the boundary since getting started a few weeks ago.
I would highly recommend this product for people in similar locations. I have noticed that it drifts a little, likely due to the heavy forest environment, but it's minor in the overall scheme, and as far as I know it hasn't yet missed any warning alerts.
Dan R.
Collar work good except for metal buildings. We set up home area around metal building and have had several false corrections on the collar due to the building interference. Had to set the fence about 100 ft beyond our property line in order to eliminate the false trigger. Battery life is about 16 to 18 hours.
Other than these issues, it works well.
charyce H.
The most stubborn 2 y/o Pyrenees/Anatolian girl. The best animal product purchase we have ever made. She learned her boundaries quicker than anticipated. Happy human and even happier LGD.
Alanna W.
This collar is the best purchase I’ve ever made, it allows my dog to run freely and independently around our big farm without having a single worry about her possibly getting out into the road or running away. It makes me so happy to get to see her explore our property safely. I would definitely recommend this collar.
Ken M.
Replaced my broken wire Invisible Fence system. Impressed with the ease of setting up a boundary, with the tracking abilities, and the alerts when the boundary is crossed. My dog is adjusting easily to the system in large part because the boundary I set up was close to the Invisible Fence boundary.
The outstanding feature of Spot On is the absence of wires and the certainty that broken wires will never be a problem.
Am delighted with the product.
Bradley
Training to the boundary prior to unleashing is a must…take it from a Doberman Daddy with an energetic pup living on a golf course who likes to bird chase and bolt. Take the time to train first and this product is everything it’s supposed to be. Time and energy saver for me, freedom and fun for her. Very user friendly and adaptable to everywhere we’ve used it thus far.
Angela B.
Having the ability to set fences at different locations is the best part of this fence. The GPS collar can sometimes be finicky, but ultimately, the whole system works well.
Donald M.
Easy to set up boundaries. We have a smaller yard so the boundaries vary slightly with the variability in the precision of the GPS signal. Variation appears to be a few feet. It is not disruptive to our dog.
Training was much easier than portrayed in the video. We followed the instructions in the video for a couple of sessions. Our dog was fully trained by the third day. She turns around as soon as she hears the tone. She knows where she will hear the tone and does not go in that area.
On the downside, the probes irritated her skin, so we removed the probes. Her skin is healed and we are using the collar without the probes. She turns around usually at the first tone.
She has "escaped" a couple of times, but turns around very quickly as she does not like the tone or vibration.
Beth P.
Our dog is between long hair and short hair I started her on the long prongs and noticed sore spots on her neck. Then I changed to the short hair prongs and now I think she is breaking through the barrier. I suppose I need to put the other prongs back on but I am worried about the sore spots coming back.
Greg B.
Love the spot on gps collar. It takes seconds to change fences from our home to the lake house.
My Lab Zeke is a true water dog and frequently jumps in the lake with his collar on... I'm sure spot on does not encourage water use. I take the collar off when I'm training/working Zeke for water retrieves but being a water dog, who spends weekend at the lake, he jumps in on his own. So far the spot on collar has worked great... and Zeke is testing the limits of this collar.
David S.
We have 11 acres we wanted our dogs to enjoy it all. Millie our Shepard and Husky is a roamer and very intelligent. With in hrs of receiving the collar, and working with her on the boundaries. I have a dog that stays where she is safe. Thank you spot on, next I would like to see you produce a program to work with a smart phone to keep your dog close without a leash connected to the dog. Just a thought. Best tool ever and money well spent.
Wayne C.
What they say is exactly what you get Spot On Perfect. An excellent product. Went with the subscription also and it is wonderful. Easy to use and set up.. fool proof. We live in Alberta,Canada.
Molly F.
Absolutely love our SPOTON gps fences. We live on 20 acres next to a highway and trying to keep our LGDs and German shepherd off the highway and in our property was becoming really difficult. We tried using the halo collar and it did not work so we made the investment into SpotOn and I am so grateful we did. Our dogs were already trained from our training correction collars, with the beep, vibrate, and static correction so switching to SpotOn was a smooth transition for us. We are able to have a day fence, night fence and make fences within the other fences which is so helpful. The anxiety I had before these collars was thru the roof, but now they can roam all they want without me freaking out. I do pay the extra for the subscription for the tracking on both dogs, and I highly recommend it. Spot on is amazing and so accurate, I am SO thankful.
Jim
Better than sliced bread. Excellent. Exceeds every expectation we had. Works perfectly on large irregular shaped property. Every option we could think of, is already part of the system. Perfect success.
Curtis M.
Spot on fence is probably the best decision I ever made as far as taking care of my pup. I had purchased a less expensive system that used a transmitter attached to my house the area that the dog could move without correction was small very inconsistent. it took me a while to make the decision to buy spot on fence system the freedom. My dog has now to roam is amazing. The whistle function on the collar works great and very little time to train the dog. I have a one year old German Shepherd, pup, who is still very much a puppy she knows her boundaries and she can be out of sight and I can push the whistle button and I can hear her. What a lifesaver this has been. I have 13 acres of ground. And I have it set for her to be able to roam about half of it. That’s a lot better than 100 yard radius thank you so much for Creating A great product. I have recommended this product to several people
Kristopher
Best collar and you don't have to have a subscription like all of the other top gps collars
Meagan T.
I have a Weimaraner and, if you know the breed, you know my pain!!! I love her more than anything, but SHE. IS. TOUGH. And Invisible Fence was no match for her instincts.
What I love about Spot On are the three levels of correction. High frequency rapid beeping, steady loud alarm and then vibration or static correction. The precision accuracy of this technology is also unmatched. Some tracking devices that work off cellular signals take forever to triangulate. By then my dogs could be a mile away. Spot On is spot on. Also, the owner has complete control over designating the area for the “fence,” as well as whether to employ static correction or vibration and, if static, what level of intensity.
My only criticism would be that it might need stronger static correction. It goes up to level 30, but I have it at a level 25 and it doesn’t feel like a “shock” … it really feels like a slightly intense vibration, even at the high end.
But, in general, I love this product! A++++

I was unsure about the collar and its effectiveness. Collar works as advertised, keeps my girl in bounds and on the property. I called spot on 3 months into ownership because battery life was getting shorter than 14 hours. Spot on rep was great to deal wth and after a brief conversation they sent me a replacement. Great customer support, product has been great, not sure what else you could ask for. Happy customer here.
Nicholas B.
I purchased my first spot on collar about a year ago. After a few hiccups with the Bluetooth not working properly the collar was swapped out and functions as advertised.
One of my 4 boys likes to wander and has worn a containment collar almost continuously since I’ve had him. A little over a year ago I started traveling full time for work and staying in my RV on my customer’s job sites. I decided I wanted to travel with my boys and it was going good until my boy that doesn’t like to respect fences went walkabout in rural Wisconsin. I finally found him 4 hours later and ordered a spot on. I now have 4 collars, one for each of my boys and don’t even bother putting up a temporary fence around my rv anymore. I typically end up gps fencing 1-40 acres every location I go to and my boys are super happy to not have a fence.
The newer offline settings are ok for the collar but can be somewhat restrictive
Overall the pros way outweigh any cons for this system. Realtime tracking, ease of use, ease of setting up and modifying fences and deploying them to multiple collars, etc. all A+
As someone who travels 90%+ of the time and uses the collars 100%of the time the only 2 cons I can think of are battery life and not being able to connect the collar to wifi in addition to cell towers. Even with the newest collar available I’ve yet to see a battery last a full 24 hours without being charged. If battery life could get up to 30-36hours on average it would make life easier especially since my boys have an automatic dog door so they can go outside while I’m sleeping if they need to. On the WiFi front I do a lot of rural work and am in areas with no cell service. I carry my Starlink and set up outdoor repeaters that could work great in conjunction with these collars if they had WiFi connectivity.
Also, I don’t know how practical it is but a cool feature to me would be a “walk mode” where I could take my boys for a walk without a leash, perhaps using a Bluetooth connection to the collars to establish a radius around me that the dogs stay in but that would just be icing on an already super product

Our experience has been nothing but AWESOME! I can’t get over how great the customer service is. I would definitely recommend this collar and would say it is definitely worth it! I am VERY satisfied with this company and their products! One happy customer right here!!!!

Leaving on ten wooded acreage is no longer stressful with the spot collar. Our dog knows his boundaries and so do the wild deer.

We got two collars for our dogs & it has been a life saver. So much peice of mind comes from letting my dogs out the door & not worried they will take off & bother the neighbours dogs anymore.
Thank you Spoton for the off leash freedom my guardian dog desperately needed!

The collars were easy to install and allowed us to set a very large boundary including allowing them to go in the lake with the collars on. Great product. Just wish they were more affordable.

Researched for 4 months and chose this one when she turned 6 months old. Works exactly as promised and we absolutely love it.

The spot on collar works great for our Maggie. She is a mini goldendoodle so the collar is a bit bulky, but she doesn’t seem to mind. The tracking is pretty accurate and allows me to see exactly where she is if she’s out of site. It does have the option for vibrate or static correction with adjustable intensity. She picked up on the leash training quickly, but as soon as she wasn’t on leash she would break through the barrier(I started with the vibrate mode) It took a few tries to get adjustments right and I did have to switch the mode to the static correction, but now she stays within the boundaries no problem. When we take the collar off for ATV rides, the quick connect buckle makes it easy to put back on when we get back home. You definitely don’t have to remove the collar, but sometimes I find it just as easy to do this than to deactivate the fence coming and going. This collar/fence definitely gives our family peace of mind to keep her safe.

I have a 10 year old Australian Shepherd, and a 1 1/2 year old Aussie/lab mix. The Aussie was in the habit of visiting our neighbors who like to pet and feed her. She lovingly taught my new dog to join her in her visits. I do not like my dogs to bother the neighbors and my young do decide she could visit further than she should. I needed something that allowed them to run our 27 acres but not allowing them to travel to our neighbors. Thank goodness I found the spot on collar. It took about 2 weeks to break her habit. They both are doing great! I am so happy I purchased these collars.

The most incredible customer service you will find Period. Had an issue with missing a charger. Jeff, who I worked with was just the best. You will not find a better technology or company to back up their technology than Spot On. These people truly care about being the best! Thank you so much Jeff!

The Spot On collar has been awesome for our 11 month old English Cream Golden Retriever! We live on 13 acres and we give him about 4 acres to explore. It’s been wonderful for us. We had one issue with a charging port and their customer service team jumped on it and sent us out a new one as soon as I contacted them. I can’t recommend them enough!

Able to let my dogs consume all of the land we have and not just with line of sight. Great product and is worth the investment.

What a life saver, for me and for my dog. Works flawlessly every single day.

Purchased the Spot On collar last October and are absolutely delighted. Easy to set up, mark the fence boundary lines and train our dog. The collar tracks and locates as promised. This was the security and peace of mind we needed.
Added bonus that Spot On is located in the U.S.A. and has a great customer service department.
Wish they had a larger line of products.

This purchase of a spot on collar is by far the best money spent on my pups. Everything from fence line to tracking is accurate. Whenever I had a question or concern the staff is always amazing, friendly and easy to get a hold of. It will give you a peace of mind so you don’t and won’t ever worry about losing your dog. Highly recommend.

So far so good. Took about a week of training for Luna to understand the tones. We’re currently using vibration correction and it appears to be working. I tried the static correction on myself and it seemed a little much compared to other e collar training collars. The only improvement I would suggest is if the walk the perimeter function would initiate the tones instead of the boundary correction.

2 large 120lb+ guardian dogs. They took to understanding the parameter quickly. The collars work and the concept of being able to flexibily update the fence parameter is great. These collars are a great solution to large properties where physical fences are not setup or not practical.
A couple items that could use improvement :
1.) The material the collar is made out of could be a little bit more 'stout'. One buckle on one collar has already unbuckled a couple times, luckily we were able to find the collar around the property. Feels like the 'rubber' or buckles are a little underbuilt for our dogs. They are very active, wrestling, and sparring with each other. Feels like at some point due to wear the buckle and or the collar strapping itself will break.
2.) The charge is per other reviews only good for a day.
3.) Not sure but sometimes it seems like the collars are synched and active right off the charger in the morning and sometimes you need to connect to them from the app. There were a couple days prior to getting into the habit of connecting in the am where we let the dogs out and the collars actually were not on.
I would absolutely recommend the collars and solution up to this point. I also very explicilty like that this is NOT a recurring monthly subscription.

I purchased SpotOn collars last July, just prior to moving abroad. These collars have worked wonderfully and just as important, if I have questions, concerns, or issues the customer service is second to none. There entire team is patient and diligent until the issue is resolved. Thank you !!!!!

I love what Spot on does. But, I wish there was a small indicator light that lets you know if the collar is on or off. It is mostly guesswork when I want to turn it on and off.

We have finally figured things out. I wish the collar were smaller but other than a few glitches that your customer service has helped with, it is working well.

This is my second review because after writing the other review, I thought about it and didn't provide some more perks about this device. I'll just list them and you decide if it's worth it. 1) I keep colar on charger when not using, it's always at 100% when I put it on my pup to go outside on his own. 2) I keep my phone with me and know where my pup is at all times on my 2 acre lot. I'm alerted when he gets too close or crosses the border but quickly returns. Not often does he's cross the corrective border. He usually recalls at warning tones. 3) no more cold freezing days or nights 4) I can pre draw fences anywhere there are satellite coverage. If I know the address, I can make a fence! 20 fences loaded on my ap. 5) I purchased the small size replacement colar straps to cover all neck sizes for any dog. 6) I can change my fence anytime and as long as my dog can hear the tone, he returns to safe zone. All dogs are smart, you just gotta be as smart as they are! Train them, it doesn't take long at all. 7) I seldom brag on any products I buy, this much. I'm not getting a thing for writing this review, I'm getting satisfaction for helping others make the right decision. 8) I'm on ss retirement income, I bit the bullet and paid by credit card. The long term repayment is worth the agony I'm not having without the colar. Take the plung, and you will be pleased with the results, but remember, the colar is only as good as the operator. As in any product! Take the time and read every word of training and operating instruction before you buy it and as you operate it after purchase. 9) it's unbreakable, weather proof and everlasting. I have 3 yr old aussie that plays and spars with the pup all the time outside so you can imagine the abuse this colar takes. Still not a scratch or defect on it. I've had it a month. 10) I mentioned your dog is smart, each time I put the colar on before he goes outside, he knows he has to listen for alerts and warning tones, not to get to close to corrective border. He has 2 warning tones prior to the corrective border line to return to safety zone. They're smart, they know! 11) the big question, will my dog go out of boundaries to take walks outside of yard? Yes! My pup has learned that when he is on the leash, he is safe with me anywhere. At first he held back but you have to earn your dog's trust. Maybe a little tug or a treat to encourage him. Cheese always works! In conclusion, I have read every review of every other closely comparable colar competitor. Oh! That would only be 1 colar...the Halo. I don't own one so I can't say much other than the reviews were not good. There is a YouTube review for comparison between halo and spot on. Check it out before making a decision. Halo doesn't offer 100% satisfaction guarantee. That's a red flag in itself. I can't say enough about this colar. I wish you all the best in your decision.

If you are having problems with this colar, you either have not followed instructions for training or you may possibly have a fluke faulty collar. This colar was the easiest to operate, most accurate gps and by far most phenomenal technology. Even for Android! The customer service is spot on every time I had a question. Yes, it was expensive but worth every penny to secure my loved pet. Gus, my big German Shepard! We trained him at 5 months old and he acclimated very well to the training as described. The options to control sound, vibration and corrective static is a nice feature. I advise subscribing to the two year tracking plan to ensure you will never lose your precious loved one. I was able to build a fence around my mother's property before arriving. She lives an hour away. Is that awesome or what? If I could be of service and advise any customer that is having doubts of purchase, please ask spot on fence staff to release my text number with my approval for a reference. The key to relief for you and your pup is to follow instructions!!! My pup is squeamish and dramatic, he acclimated quickly with spot on fence collar. I wish I had this for all my pets. Oh, it's not for small lots so forget it if you have a small yard. The 3 borders alerts require at least 15'. I have 2 acres and no fence. If I was on the board of engineering, the only other option I would add for customers, is to give us the option to control tone volume and vibration level. Not to say this colar is adequate but it is a nice option to have since all dogs do differ to sensativity. The static correction works very well for big stubborn dogs. I advise following instructions. It can bite if not adjusted properly. Fortunate for my pup, i was the one who felt the jolt. I happened to activate the fence when outside the border and holding the colar static points in the palm of my hand. It was set at level 13...Ouch! I read some of the negative reviews and I gotta tell ya, this collar doesn't make mistakes, ppl do! Yes, manufacturing processes can make mistakes but considering the quality of this colar, it's very unlikely that you will recieve a bad colar. Where ever this colar was invented or manufactured, I say....well done! If I ever get too old to care for my pets, I will resell this colar for the same price I paid. It's worth it!
Sincerely with 100% honesty,

Getting the SpotOn collar has been life changing! My German Shepherd/black lab pup wanted to be outside ALL. THE. TIME. Which, of course, was not possible so she became a challenge in the house. And if I let her free range, she began going on the dirt road and chasing cars. Within a few days of getting the collar and training, she had it figured out. We have 15 acres and now she spends as much time as she wants outside, exploring, running and sniffing. She's a much happier dog and I have so much more freedom. And the keep out zones are awesome! She started going in the cow barn/pasture eating corn and getting sick so I made a keep out zone and problem solved. Best money I have ever spent.

Waiting for my collar adjustment kit so I can make it smaller. Hard to train him with it as big as it is but we did a little bit yesterday and I think he’s getting it specially for a not quite nine month old Labradoodle. Thanks guys, Dave Cleary.
Betsy
I love how the collar works! Anytime she gets close to the boundary I get a message. We have 18 acres and I can track her and know where she is but give her the freedom to go where she wants.

Everything is Great, he loves being free!!!!

So far so good. The only thing I don’t like is knowing if the collar is on or off. I’m sure it’s the operator. Customer support has been spot on! Pun intended.
Doribel F.
I could not recommend this collar enough! It’s not only America made, but the efficiency and the awesome customer service go above and beyond! I have had it for almost a year, initially I got it for my border collie; it took me 3 days to teach him to use it, and so far has work wonders, and the couple times I’ve had a problem with it the customer service has been excellent (I would rate their customer service ten starts instead of five)!! being at work or away from home and having that peace of mind he is where he is supposed to be is priceless!! Now, I got a Great Pyrenees mix and I started training her and getting use to the collar so, when I get her her own collar she’ll be already used to it. If you are hesitant about the splurge and the efficiency of this collar I’ll tell you DON’T be, it is totally wort it!

So far so good. Excellent customer service!

Benny over compensated. He does not use the full space he is allowed but sticks close to the house. He is slowly expanding his area.

I have 3 acres of field, forest & creeks. Nakoma loves the water. With this product she can run & swim her little heart out all day. We love this happy pup
Lynn R.
We have been using it for a week now and I have to say my runner is doing great and has learned the sound pretty quick I was not sure I was going to be able to train her as she is stubborn but with a few days of walking with the leash and trainer her now she knows her boundaries and I did call a few times the first few days with questions and they were awesome GREAT PRODUCT
THANK YOU SPOT ON!

Peace of mind while the dogs play on the farm. Easy to track them and confident they will not leave the defined area. The charging ports work great and the collars are extremely durable and easy to clip on and off. Perfect solution.
Karen P.
Really like the collar with exception of the power button. Extremely difficult to tell if it is turned on or not. An added feature of showing how many miles my dog puts on in a day would be great. His hunting. Collar does this and one feature we miss.
Elias N.
So far the collar seems to be working pretty close to perfectly. There is a few times that the collar does not go off and she sneaks through the boundary, but other than that she stay mostly in the yard. Surprisingly she took to this in less than 3 days only training for 10 to 15 minutes a couple times a day.

We have a 1 year old golden retriever who is a little wild at this age and had trouble with him running away. We researched the SpotOn collar and decided to give it a try. We were able to set it up and create a fence with great ease. After creating the fence we put the collar on Fletcher and took him around the yard to help him get acquainted with the boundaries. He immediately responded to the collar and quickly learned the fence boundaries. Since then we have had no problems with him running off. This has been a game changer in our house and was a great investment. I highly recommend the SpotOn collar. Great product!!!
