What a top-notch company. We’ve had the collar for over a year and roughly about eight months in I noticed that something was loose inside the collar. Even though It worked like nothing was wrong. We stopped using it and reached out for warranty info. At this time, sadly I procrastinated and basically waited another six months, since I waited it was out of warranty, but reached out recently and they still covered it. You guys are awesome

Meet Robert. Robert is a dog. Robert was dumped near our house weighing only 35 pounds. (He now weighs over 80.) He probably has some German Shepherd and black lab in the mix, because his two favorite things are running and swimming. Robert lives in rural Arkansas on 22 acres, about half of which is covered in heavy trees. We knew we didn’t want a dog that was able to chase deer and harass our neighbor’s cows, goats, and chickens, but we didn’t want to keep him confined. So we decided to take the plunge and buy the SpotOn collar. Training Robert was easy and the collar works great. We can leave him outside all day with no worries. He chases deer to the perimeter of the fence and turns back. He swims in the pond and does all his doggie activities. So far, the SpotOn collar has been a great purchase.

I really debated getting these for a while due to cost, but man, I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I have 2 huskies, one is real adventurer, and these collars have been a lifesaver and peace of mind. I gave my dogs a couple boundary walks with the collars when we first got them and they figured it out pretty quickly, with really no other training. I keep the tracking on the adventuerer pup to keep track of when he tries to breach the boundary, and for my other guy we don't need to use the subscription. I love these.
GRANT R.
Have been very happy with the fence and the customer service. If you follow the training videos this is an excellent product. I've had several encounters with customer service on some small issues, but they have been great. This allows my dog to roam our entire acreage without worry. Spot on will be my go to for all my dogs in the future.
Ken C.
Since getting spot on.. Maxx our German shepherd can no longer shop at the neighbors.. So far it has been working great....
Ken C.
We got spot on for our German shepherd Maxx...And so far it works great.. Maxx can't go shopping the neighborhood anymore..

Two rotten Rottweilers and a Golden. Hands down the best investment I have made into all of my dogs. I can see them all individually, which I love. Living in a low cell service area, these collars still work great. My dogs were already stim collar trained, so I honestly snapped these on and walked away. One snap did break (the golden was playing tug of war with the collar around a Rottie) and it’s kinda a bummer you have to buy the whole strap, but the replacement was easy. Had these for over a year and have held up well to swimming, playing, hiking. Recommend these all the time to people.
Patrick S.
This literally took less than 1 hour for our bernedoodle to figure out. We love it.

Thanks to spot on fence i can let my wild Boykin Spaniel enjoy life and run free. Anyone who owns a spaniel knows they absolutely love running free and chasing every bird in site. With us living on a farm this was the best investment ever! He can roam and i have a peace of mind while he is free. I also now have three collars for my other dogs! So if you are on the fence about spot on take my advice IT IS THE BEST THING EVER!!
Katie K.
Love this collar! Easy training for a husky (which is saying alot lol) And no more "long walks"! Super easy setup and have seen multiple times how it has stopped him from crossing the boundaries, without even using the static feature (which is originally why i got this collar because it offered it) but haven't had to use it, the vibration works great for turning him around!
Taylor C.
We love spot on. It works perfectly for my adventurous puppy. He learned is boundaries very quickly. Now I can let him out and he can roam safely. And I can easily track him if he escapes his fence. We tried a cheap wireless fence first and he would jump right through the boundary but not with spot on. He has never escaped it.
Eric D.
Very easy to set up. I like the option to add multiple fences. Training was a breeze with our Great Pyrenees puppy.
Kerry S.
Received my collar and 30 minutes later it was mapped out and working.
I had an invisible fence for years prior to this so no training was necessary for my Boxer.
I really like the idea of not worrying and trying to find a break in the line, great product, a little pricey but compared to what we put into our furry friends, well worth it.
Andrew
The collar is great, nice that you can always see where he is but the only thing that would make it the best would be to have a correction button or shock button whatever you want to call it. Would help with training

It was a hard decision to spend so much money at once...two collars for 2 dogs, but only one with tracking. I researched all the fancy collars and finally decided to go with SpotOn. We live on 3 acres with trees and a creek, next to acres of fields. My pups had been crossing to neighbors property and running down the road.
After the FIRST day with their collars, they have not left our property. We had to do some experiments with the boundaries, but once we got it set correctly - they work perfectly.
Thank you!
Debi W.
Charlie Daniels Wagner....mixed border collie rescued in August 2022. He used a radio collar since day one but our metal siding interfered with the collar and he could find ways to escape in dead areas. I broke down and paid the Spot On price with hesitancy. But it has been a godsend and a life saver for Charlie. He stays within the boundaries and also I mark the dead zones around our metal home as safety so that he never gets shocked there for any reason. I have 3 fences set up for differ3nt seasons when we have a garden and when we are raising livestock. He is so much better now and does not escape anymore like he did with other collars. He tests the boundaries once in a while but it's always like for 2 seconds

I love the freedom this collar gives my dog, and me as a responsible owner. I love the comfort level I feel allowing my dog out to play and explore my vast yard. I live in a rural area, with 2 large ponds. I have a winter map, to keep Tess off the ponds' ice, and safe. My summer map allows her into one of the ponds' as she loves to hang with us on the dock, and swim. I have 3 other major maps made and use them when I visit my 2 sons, or my boyfriend. They all live close by, and have extensive property. I love to have Tess with me, as I visit , rather than leave her on her own at home.
Donna C.
I have to say, I never write reviews... But this collar totally changed my dogs life! I did not expect it to work as well as it does, but its so worth it... I have a big property, lots of trees and ponds, and my 2 dogs (a pit mix and a Cane corso) can now roam around freely and enjoy life!... AND, if I call their names and they dont come right away, I just go on the app and I can see exactly where they are! So smart... Also amazing customer service! Ive had to call twice with a question/small issue, and the people I spoke with were so nice and helped me right away... Great product!
Brenda C.
After having several incidences of my dog, wandering off my property wasting time trying to locate her I decided to buy the spot on the fence although it is a little bit pricey, but it is well worth the price after buying it the first day we received it we had no more issues she stayed within the boundaries we suck The spot on Geo fence was a lifesaver ?
Cory S.
Poor quality the wire inside brakes way to easily and you loose GPS signal. Definitely not worth the money.
Mark S.
Two dogs on two acres of land in town. The cellular tracking hasn't worked since the second day we had turned on the subscriptions. Just shows the dogs as always in the house. Battery life is about 8 hours.
D. O.
Collar works as described other than the battery life. I am able to track where the dog is on the property. Next upgrade to collar should include in the phone app where you can turn the collar off and on when you want to take your dog off the property, otherwise have to take the collar off and carry it around and put it back on when we re-enter the marked fence zone. Battery life is ok, Received low battery notification at 15 hours. An upgrade needs to be added to extend the battery life longer.
Andrew S.
My wife and I adopted a couple of dogs who were dumped down the road from us, they are just puppies, about 9 months old. They are extremely active, and would run off in the blink of an eye. We knew we had to do something, so we went to looking online, and that's when we found SpotOn. These collars have been a lifesaver! It has taken very little training and they have figured out where the borders are. We were a bit hesitant as we live out in the country but they work perfectly. We have a pretty large timber along a field behind our house, and they love to go running through it, and it's just nice to know where they are and that they haven't ran over to the neighbors place or to the next town over lol. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about them!
Judianne D.
If it wasn’t for SpotON my Border Collie would be dragging around a long line every time she was outside. I have never had trouble with boundaries with any of my Border Collies, but Sky tested all my training techniques. SpotOn gives Sky the freedom on our 10 acres and stops her from rolling a horse farm manure pile down the road or an afternoon swim in our neighbors pool or squeezing through the cat door to peruse another neighbor’s kitchen. I have recommended SpotOn to anyone who express a boundary problem. Thank you SpotOn!
Kassi N.
This purchase has been a lifesaver for us! Rainier is 90 lbs and loves to run and play. We live on over 5 acres and he gets to roam wherever we put the fence. Each year we go camping we map out where we are going to be a pre-load his “Camp Collar”. We live in the woods so when the circle of life happens in our yard we can adjust his collar so he can’t get into the mess left behind. When we had an issue with the battery, SpotOn paid for shipping both ways and fixed the issue no charge. Honestly, this collar has made the difference of being able to have a dog or not on our property! Amazing company and product!
Sven P.
Our dogs have been pretrained (youngest came from a farm where they already had Spot On, and the younger two were trained with electric poultry netting). Training, as such, was a breeze. The dogs respect the perimeter. While they may breach the perimeter they come back within a minute and never travel over 0.01 miles. The dogs are happy to be free and have full reign of our 24 acres. Would highly recommend!
Hillary S.
We love the collar it has given our one dog who doesn’t like to return when called a chance to run free with the other dogs at our home. I’ll admit the price tag kept me from purchasing one for a longtime, but after one night the 3 dogs took of chasing something and 2 of them returned when called and he ran out onto the road in the dark and was almost hit by a car right in front of both my sons and myself I decided I couldn’t risk losing him anymore. They were already trained on “shock” collars but I didn’t have his on that night. But it made the transition to this collar much easier he caught on quickly to not cross his zones. My only complaint is I wish it had an option to manually beep/vibrate when needed. Because he is still a very excitable dog sometimes and jumps up on people and that’s what we used the other collars for. The zone drift is sometimes an issue when we’re in town visiting friends and it allows him beyond the yard close to or onto the road. And twice now I’ve forgotten to turn off the fence when we hopped into the car to go somewhere and he unfortunately was corrected before I was able to get my phone out to turn the fence off when I heard the alarm, I don’t know how something like that could be remedied with future collars, maybe automatic fence delay/shutoff when the dog is with/next to someone who is Bluetooth connected to the collar?!? But thank you for the freedom the collar has given my dog and the peace of mind I have now that when he has his collar on he will be safer from something terrible happening when he gets rambunctious.
Zac S.
Product works great, we live in Northern Alberta with minimal cell service levels. Our dog doesn’t wonder and reacts quickly to the collar!
Michael D.
Works great for my coon hound he picked up on it in about a day and a half and he is also almost 10 years old.

SpotOn fence was easy to set up. We really like the ability to set up a no-enter zone inside the larger fence. I am a little bit disappointed by the lack of manual correction features. I am currently using a Garmin Alpha in addition to the SpotOn collar because the Garmin has a few features that I just can't live without, including manual correction, better tracking features, and a tracking log of where my dog has been for the last few hours. We have a fairly large property and I like to keep tabs on whether Dixie is doing her job of following the goat herd and patrolling the property and not just lounging in the driveway or amusing herself by chasing cars along the fence line.
I would like to see a feature change where the no-enter fence can be set up by walking the perimeter instead of drawing it on a map. I want to keep Dixie out of the horse corral, but drawing it on the phone was near impossible. It would have been much easier to walk the corral fence instead of trying to draw it (which took a ridiculously long time and required some janky work-arounds to finally get it programmed into the system properly).
Other than those things, the collar seems to work exactly as expected. Dixie is extremely good with tones due to past training with the Garmin collar, and she is staying within the property bounds and out of the horse corral. She spends less time chasing cars along the fence line now because the collar chimes at her if she gets too close to the perimeter. As soon as she hears the chime it interrupts her and reminds her that she's not making good choices.

We have had spot on for a few weeks and love it. It was extremely easy to set up. Our nine month old beagle loves his freedom. He was easy to train and took to the corrections.
Karen N.
We have been using SpotOn for two years and love it! Our 90 lb. Bernedoodle learned quickly and is living his best life on our 2 acre lot. He has only broken through the fence one time. We always know where he is using the app and he loves being outside with us and without us. We have gone other places and created a fence at those locations, as well. We are so happy with this product!
Dan K.
Does not work for our Tibetan Mastiff so far. Others have had great experiences, we haven’t. Not sure if it is the amount of scruff he has on his neck, or he just doesn’t care, but the corrections have absolutely no affect on him. We’ll keep trying since we dropped a grand on this system, but so far, so not good for us…
Jessica N.
We purchased 2 collars for our dogs after moving into our new home in the country. We struggled with the decision between the halo collars and SpotOn, halo was cheaper but there were zero negative reviews for SpotOn….so we decided to give SpotOn a try, as being able to trust the fence was very important to us. So extremely happy we did!! These collars have been a game changer for our dogs and their ability to run our land freely, with no dropped signals or fences. We can let them run without worrying if the fence will fail. We did have trouble with 1 of the collars, a connection issue, immediately but customer service was so prompt and helpful, 1 phone call and a new collar was issued right away. You can tell they value their customers and stand behind their products.
We have run into halo collar owners since and heard similar complaints as we had read in reviews, and share our experience with the SpotOn collars. We recommend to all of our dog owner friends!!!
Amy P.
I have experienced unparalleled customer service with SpotOn Fence. Not only does the product work, it keeps my 2 yr old Belgium Mal safe on my 13 acre fish farm. I have owned the collar for over a year w/ a subscription. I would highly recommend this product.
Jessica W.
We have been using the spot on collar for 4 years now. It's very user friendly and I have some of my friends and family now using it. Most of all whenever I've had anything come up, I've called and the customer service is EXCELLENT! I couldn't be happier for this collar helping keep my lab safe.
Mat P.
We trained Lucky with the collar when he was only two months old. It is a relief to let him have the run of the property (~13 acres). During deer season we shrank his "territory" nearer to the house. No problems. It is also nice when we travel to just set up a fence and let him run. He is in great shape and a superb hunter on pheasants, chucker, grouse, woodcock and quail. I also use him for waterfowl (ducks and geese). I would like to see a more robust charging station, but I recommend the product highly.
Britanny D.
We live on 50 acres and don't have a fence for a dog around the house. We were having to keep our dog tied to keep him from running the neighborhood to visit the neighbor dogs. Spent about 4 days consistently training him to learn the tones and warnings for the fence. He learned better and faster than expected and he is loving his life unleashed now that he can roam the whole 50 acres! Collar was a little on the pricey side but we tired the PetSafe collar which was cheaper but it didn't work so we went with the SpotOn collar and we are very pleased with the result. I'd highly recommend this for anyone with a dog that likes to run!
Howard M.
The collar works well and as advertised. Customer service was prompt with minor issues. i do wish the color itself was more durable.
Gary
My dog is loving being able to run around and I’m loving not having to worry about her wandering off!
Katie R.
The collar is ok. The collar doesn't shut off when not in use so majority of the time my dog doesn't wear it because its dead. There is no option to let you know if the collar is on or off. The shock part doesn't do anything for my dog. He doesn't even feel it due to his thick neck. The collar is more of a hassle than anything to be honest. Long story short we are going to have to fence our yard to keep him in.
Sarah W.
I love this collar! It's always a bit stressful to move and we were worried about our German Shepherd adjusting to our new place, 2500 miles away from his home. SpotOn made it easy with great customer service as well. We will always be a customer!
Nico
Overall great investment. I’m still learning about GPS drift and my house is within 20’ of the road / my dog’s fence boundary. The narrow distance can cause the fence to alert when my dog is within his boundary but setting larger safe zones have helped. My dog is trained to an ecollar so the hardest part was teaching him that he didn’t need to return to me when the collar beeped rather just step back. I love that I can have multiple fences and they are super easy to switch between. When the elk are in the yard I can shorten the fence, other times I have his normal sized yard. The fences are quick and easy to adjust on my phone and upload to the collar. I can do it on the fly while out in the yard. I don’t have the subscription but I haven’t had any problems with boundaries or creating fences. I highly recommend. Especially if you live somewhere, like I do, that a fence is not an option.
Allen V.
Customer service was excellent! After determining our collar was defective out of the box. We promptly received a new one. Our very active Yellow Lab is staying within the 15 acre boundary we set up. Now he can will not cross the county road to visit his best dog friend. Such a relief! Thank you for all your excellent help.
Jennifer B.
My husband set up the parameters and he managed it very well. I had trouble with the battery and hearing the tone when I started to train Koa. I called customer service and she was so nice and easy to work with. She fixed my problem easily. So far I love this product! I am still in the training process but Koa is getting it. However, she did run through the static which was at a 10. I am still working through this part of it.
Donald S.
The single problem for us older dog-owners is,to attaché the collar using the plastic buckle.
With our long haired Newfs the loser requires strong compression fingers and separating coat hair from slide pointed plastic
Tic.
Please develop an easier fix - coupler design?
Beau W.
We have an odd shaped 12 acres with horses and chickens. Our two border collie pups have learned quickly to the boundries. When they began herding the chickens, it was very quick and simple to cut out the zone in the middle of the property to put a stop to their inherited habits.
We also camp a lot. The past weekend it was extremely easy to make a boundry and add an additional area to contain them at a new location.
These are great collars ,and though expensive , are well worth it.

Whether K9 Frank is on duty or home, I feel confident about his safety. With Spot On, I know he will stay within his set boundaries at home. At work, I rely on Spot On’s GPS tracking capabilities to follow K9 Frank while he’s tracking in different surroundings. I was able to stay back from him a bit for safety, but still watch his movements in real time. It was so Great. We Love Spot On!
Philippa D.
This collar gives me peace of mind while giving my dog freedom. Anytime we travel I set up a perimeter before we arrive. We put the collar on him right before he gets out of the car and off he goes. Also, no monthly fees and incredible customer service.
Denny W.
We have a GSP very active dog we had other type of collars and fences. We have the spot on for about a month so far she is doing great we don’t have to worry about going across the road. Highly recommend the spot on collar.

I have crazy neighbors... even though neither one of my ferocious golden-doodle girls have never stepped foot on their property, they have threatened to shoot them if they do happen to trespass. In order to avoid going all "Buffalo Bill" on the neighbors, I sought to employ a gps fence system.
The first system I bought kind of/sort of worked. Still, my wife and I would endlessly find ourselves going outside to check on the girls, often finding that they had gone beyond the perimeter boundary. After about one year the collars stopped working altogether.
A client of mine, Hannah B, suggested "Spot-On". It is a hefty investment, but money well spent for the peace of mind and technology that is incorporated into this device. It's easy to set up and use... customer service was easy to reach and answered all of my questions. I can track the exact location of each dog and the call-back feature is amazing. I would recommend this product to anyone!

This is a very well-engineered product with exceptional customer support. It has a lot of useful features built into the collar, and many options that the dog owner can set for him/herself via the free mobile phone software app. I have had some questions regarding this GPS collar that I submitted to the SpotOn team, and these have been answered both promptly and accurately.I ordered the collar on 12/23/2024 and started training my male Siberian Husky (i.e., Skye) shortly thereafter by following the free training instructions provided by SpotOn. Due to the winter weather here in central Alaska, I was not able to train my Husky on a consistent daily schedule. However, the day did finally arrive when Skye appeared to have reached the point where he recognized the warning signals as he approached the GPS/virtual fence border, resulting in him returning to the "safe" area back inside the fence. It certainly was a very happy day recently, for both Skye and myself, when I released him from the cable he had been tethered to for 10 months of his life. He now can roam about my property w/o restrictions, and investigate all the “doggy places-of-interest” in the past that he had been unable to reach. The SpotOn collar, in my opinion, is the very best on the market. One can set up multiple GPS fences with no limit on the maximum size, and the fence can be designed using the mobile phone app (which includes a map) without the need to walk the intended fence line. The collar provides protection for one’s dog right out of the box without needing to purchase the available phone subscription. However, once one reviews the additional SpotOn Fence Collar features provided by the phone subscription, and notes the very reasonable price for this subscription, I am confident that many will also decide to subscribe to these additional features just as I did. Some of pictures of Skye are attached. These were taken minutes after I had released him from his tethering cable.

So glad we invested in this collar!
Brody loves to run and his recall is not the best so we were a little skeptical, but once we got him trained on it it’s been the best thing we ever did for him! He can now take advantage of our whole acreage and the training was actually fairly easy. This company definitely stands by their product and wants to make it work for you and your dog. They hooked us up with a free phone session with a dog trainer when we hit a bump in our training and it was so helpful!
If you’re on the fence about the investment I would encourage you to give it try, if it works for my stubborn Husky it can work for any dog!
Christina
I honestly would return this if I could get an underground fence dug soon. From day 1, the collar would not allow my dog in his dog house area, every time he tries to go inside it (it is at LEAST 10 feet from the wire boundary) it beeps a warning at him. I understand the boundary fluctuates, but that is absurd. He was already trained on an underground fence and knows what the beeping tone means, so he naturally runs away from it, meaning he can't be near his dog house area if he has the collar on. As soon as I can get someone to help put in a new underground fence, this collar will be put away and probably never used again. For the amount of money it costs, it's just not worth it. The only upside to this is that we didn't have to do a monthly subscription, and that's why we chose this over the other gps collars.
Janet W.
Great customer service. The Spoton works really well. I never have to worry when my dogs are outside.
Brad H.
We were converting from the original invisible fence where you buried a wire around the parameter of your property. Our collars had worn out so it seemed like the GPS technology options were something to check out. We settled on SpotOn not wanting to pay a monthly fee just to track our dogs. We set the boundaries for about 3 acres so it is relatively easy to find them if we need to. I'm happy to say the dogs transitioned from the buried wire system to the GPS system almost seemlessly. I was a little worried about the size of the collars, and they are fairly large, but doesn't seem to bother our two labs. The collars are on the upper end of cost so if you are shopping here is a true assessment on couple things using a 10 pt scale:
* (9) Size/Weight/Durable - little big but seem to work out for the dogs. The little emblem fell of one collar probably because the dogs rough house a bit.
* (10) Accuracy - border detect does vary a little as described in their literature. It's not that big of deal so all-in-all I love that the borders can be adjusted, etc.
* (8) Battery Life - they say 30 hrs, I haven't measured it exactly but I'd say it's true. I would have expected better battery life when not using the LTE subscription. The only thing I'm surprised is that the collar charger doesn't have mounting holes so you could secure it somewhere. The collars have to go in and out of the charger each day so it would be nice to just mount them so they don't slide around.
* (10) Ease of setup - setup was complete in hour after walking the line, test, etc.
Overall I am very pleased with the purchase.

We have been using the SpotOn GPS collar for our Newfoundland, Franklyn, for about 2 years. After moving from a home with a fenced yard to a home with many acres of un-fenced land, we knew we had to try the collar to maintain boundaries for Franklyn. If you're wondering if it works on a 200lb fluff ball of a dog, the answer is yes! Franklyn loves rolling in the snow as well, and the collar has never had a problem toughing out our harsh Canadian winters. The SpotOn GPS Fence has saved us thousands of dollars in unsightly fencing, it's extremely reliable, gives us piece of mind, and most importantly, allows our dog to be a dog and enjoy freedom on our property. The staff at SpotOn are all wonderful, supportive, and incredibly fast at replying if you have any questions. So thankful for our SpotOn GPS Fence!
John and Debbie D.
I’m updating our review. It has been 100% worth every penny! Jack can go outside and play and have fun and we have comfort knowing he is safe and within the fenced in area!! The setup was extremely easy and after working with Jack as the training video showed, it only took that 1 day of training!! SpotOn Collar is outstanding along with their customer service. If you need a GPS Wireless Dog Collar, this is the one!!
Happy dog happy family!
Michael C.
My Irish Setter, Shamrock mastered the collar in less than 24 hours. (4) 10-15 minute sessions is all it took for him. He's now safe, contained to my property and free to roam.
Keep it simple, fun, plenty of praise and treats.
C A.
Spot on, was very spotty. The barriers kept shifting, and at one point it was even inside my house. We returned it. I do not recommend.
Holly W.
We have had a terrible experience with the tracker. My dog has received the tones and even been shocked in the safe zone more than once, It losses communication with my phone all the time. It will work properly at a spot, and then 5 minutes later it has lost the signal. When she ran away one evening I didn't get a notice and there was no signal from the collar. She was gone for hours, a neighbor found her. Fortunately border collies are smart dogs and she has learnt home. I cannot trust that she will not get shocked by error or get a wrong tone that will confuse her. How does anyone know their dog hasn't?
Nicole M.
I am not sure that I’ve ever been more happy with a product than I am with SpotOn. It’s taken away the constant fear I have that my Belgian Malinois will run into the busy street in one side of my house or the chase a bird down the river on the other. I can see where she is wherever I am and even made a fence at the dog beach for our usual spot. I am grateful and Saga is too!!!
John and Debbie D.
SpotOn was so simple to set up. Customer service is outstanding!! Our Aussiedoodle, Jack Davis, is learning quickly. He’s only been training for 4 days. We have about 3-5 acres fenced and we are still tweaking the fence to get the lines that work best for us. Jack is understanding what the flags mean that I put out to show where the fence is. The flags are as much to help me as it is to help him. We have not worked on the temptation of crossing the line yet. But I feel he will understand quickly. We are 100% satisfied and recommend it for anyone that needs to contain their precious dog. The only suggestion I would make to SpotOn is to fix the app where you can turn the collar on or off from the app. That would be so helpful!!

Amazing to have with a large property that isn’t well fenced! Love this collar and my dog trained on it very quickly!

Where I live the best cell service I have is1 to two bars. The gps works well but the connectivity to cellular service does not. I’m going to try it sometime where the cell strength is better and see how it works.

I couldn't believe how fast Oscar learned the collar! We recently moved to a new home with all sorts of land to roam. With Oscar having beagle in him we wanted him to enjoy the land with us, but were not sure on what collar to go with. After a lot research into all the options, Spoton always had the best reviews. We were hesitant on how Oscar would learn, he can be a bit stubborn. After one time outside with us walking the perimeter with him he caught right on! We went outside with him one more time after that and ever since he has been able to go in and out as he wishes. The neighbors walk their dogs by everyday and Oscar will intently watch them but never cross the fence. This collar made our dream home Oscar dream home as well!

I bought one of the original collars and was fairly please with this product. The app wasn't perfect but the collar functioned well. Less than a year of gentle use use in an open area, no water or tall brush, the collar no longer worked. Customer service at that time was great and sent us a new one at no additional cost. Less than a year later we had a couple difficulties but was still functional. When I contacted them at that time, they stated because the collar was purchased over 12 months ago it was outside their warranty nothing could be done other than offering us a refurbished one at $400 costs. We decided to stick with the one we had instead of paying more as it functioned with the main map. Three years later the collar is longer connecting to satellite and the app won't open. Contacted customer service who was pleasant but said unfortunately since we have the original model nothing could be done. No discounted price for a new or refurbished one. Unfortunately after spending $1,400 on the original one I will not be purchasing again. I am honestly a little embarrassed that I had talked family into buying one within the last 3 months. I am hopeful they worked out the kinks with the newer model but quite frustrated I am out a working collar after $1,400 with quite gentle use.

Piper is a Black & Tan Coonhound with boundless energy. I got the Spot-On GPS wireless fence to enable her to run free on my land. I had some doubts & worries about the wireless fence being able to contain her. I also signed up for the subscription so if she did escape, I could track her before she got too far. The setup was easy and her training went well. At first, I would only put her out if I was also out with her. It didn't take long before my confidence with the system allowed me to put her out and not worry about her. Piper loves her new freedom and so do I. It's nice to be able to track her wanderings on my land on the phone. Also, the customer service is great and handled any technical issues I had promptly & knowledgeable.

I love this collar and the 2 dogs have learned to respect the fence. I am doing bata testing for tracking my dogs and I get notified if the dogs break through the fence. I am a pilot and was in Mexico when one of the dogs tried to get through the fence and I was able to apply a correction to that dog and it work as if I was home.
When I have needed service on the collar the staff was great and work with me to get the collar repaired and back to me. I plan on buying another collar for one more dog.
Thanks Spoton fence

The only thing better than these collars is their amazing customer service. First, we had GPS scatter while the dog was inside our home. They had a fix for this a week after we reported our issues by creating a “fence in a fence”, leaving the perimeter around our home free from collar correction. The next time we called, the collar had a fast white blinking light because the collar could not connect to the satellite. It ended up being a battery issue with our two year old collar. They addressed our issues, free of charge. I absolutely recommend this collar to anyone who wants their dog to run freely without worry!

Expensive, but worth every penny! I have a syberian husky we could not keep on the property no matter what we tried. He was an absolute pain to our neighbors. Since having this collar, he tried leaving 4 or 5 times and has never tried again. This collar keeps him off the road as well. We added a zone to keep him away from the chickens as well. Very happy with this collar!!

I have 2 golden retrievers and bought 2 collars. They are not reliable. Had 2 times where the collars appeared to lock up allowed the dogs to run off at night even though the app said they were in the back yard. And this was on both dogs at the same time. I tried restarting the app and nothing worked. I was not even able to use the app to track the dogs since it was showing them in the yard. We’ve had issues with gps drift, the chargers are a joke. If you treat your pets like they are family I wouldn’t rely on this to keep them safe. Not worth spending thousands on a system that is this unreliable

the unit does as it says. The down side is the cell service is spotty even in a field and its slow to respond at times. The worse part about it is the battery life. Its hard to even get 10 hours out of a full charge. This is the biggest setback I can see from spending $1000.

Tried another brand and it did work well, return and purchased Spot On. This collar works well and in a very short time my dog learned where he could go and not. GPS is accurate and I like being able to walk the boundary to set up the fence and the keep out zones.

Tracking my Livestock Guardian Dog is fantastic! In this photo, you can see where she immediately went to check two holes in the fence that I had just fixed. No more escapes or lost dog phone calls!!!

I have two black lab sisters -- Blue is two and Heron is one -- and I prior to them I have always had black labs. Now I live on 15 acres and for the past 30 years I've never had a dog go beyond those property lines but this past summer they started clearing the wooded property next door and all of a sudden Blue & Heron realized there was a world beyond. I don't live on a particularly busy road but one car is all it takes and after a few months of trying to keep them in line with various beep collars and training, I realized I needed to figure out a real solution. That's when I stumbled upon SpotOn. I read the reviews and was between this and Halo but when you really sifted down in the reviews for Halo -- it wasn't good. Lots of chatter about the GPS being inconsistent and downright unusable. The reviews of SpotOn? Quite the contrary. I couldn't find a bad one and believe me I looked. So I purchased two collars and it was the BEST PURCHASE I'VE EVER MADE.
It took Blue & Heron a few weeks to adjust -- once they realized that the collars had boundaries (15 whole acres I might add!) they played a little game with us where they'd go outside for ten minutes and bark to come back on because their freedom had been stripped. But after a few weeks they got used to them and realized they weren't going anywhere so their habits went back to normal (e.g. playing for hours on end outside). Both of them crossed the boundary once in the beginning and came right back and haven't left the property since. I'd recommend SpotOn over and over again.
Even cooler -- Heron's collar had a GPS malfunction in the first week or two and I had contacted Support but because SpotOn headquarters is located near me in Manchester, NH -- my dad ended up taking the collar in and they went above and beyond, giving us a replacement collar for Heron as well as a full facility tour for my dad. You just do not get that level of customer service anywhere these days and I was blown away when he came home with a new collar (also for folks not in NH -- they would have just had me mail the collar in and they'd ship a replacement).
All of this to say...we are a SpotOn family for life and if you're on the fence about GPS collars, look no further. It's worth every penny.

We Love our SpotOn Collar. Our beloved GP Bernadette can dig under the fence and visit the neighbors in 30 seconds flat. She is amazing. Since the SpotOn Collar she stays safe at home. And….. now we can take her to visit our relatives and keep her safe there too. The customer service is a pleasant experience; which really surprised us.
Thank you,
Teresa & Bernadette

I have 3 golden retrievers, they were always leaving the yard, until we purchased spot on collars for all 3 dogs. Yes it was expensive but we don't have to worry about them anymore!! I call their names and they all come running to me!! Customer service is excellent, they help me with set-up and adding a keep out zone, my chicken coop... I now know my dogs are safe, thanks to spot on

We live on a large property in the country and had been using an underground fence for years. We had so many issues with line breakages. The day I got a call at work from a neighbor that our dogs were on the highway chasing cars I knew it was time for a change. These collars are game changing. It took less than 10 minutes to set up. We charge the collars when the dogs are in the house and they are ready to go back out fully protected. No worries about broken lines we can’t see or collar batteries going dead without us realizing it. I cannot say enough good things about Spot On. Well worth the price for ease of use and peace of mind.

We have 130 acres and 2 LGD’s, Pickles and Moon Pie, that love to roam. They kept running off and were having to be locked up. We decided to take a chance and spend the money on 2 collars. The training was very easy and the dogs have only left the fence and got shocked once. They have not left since. It’s a huge blessing to have the collars as it allows our girls to do what they are bred to do…protect our livestock. Thank you for making such a quality product.

I own 10 acres. Spot On GPS fence has allowed my Brittany full access to my property. He loves it and so do I. Great and reliable product, well worth the investment.

Such an amazing setup, our dog took to it within 4 days. Loving life on our 20 acres free to roam, but giving us the peace of mind with the tracking option knowing where he is!

The collar works amazing. Contacts well with the app and easy to use. Measure dogs neck twice to verify what size you need. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

This product may be great if you do not live in a metal building, however if you do it has a hard time picking up the GPS signal in your home due to the metal. You have to go outside wait 2-10 minutes for it to finally pick up the signal and at that point your dog might be gone!!! This is no mentioned anywhere that I can find on the website. I can not let my puppy run free with the collar on due to this issue and it is too late to return it. Also, you can only have one person using the tracking app at a time so when my puppy breaks the fence (because he is still learning) and my husband and I are trying to track our puppy in different directions, only one of us can be on the tracking part of the app. That needs to be updated!!! We even purchased a second collar for another puppy just so we would have the same system for both dogs, but we would return the collars if we could.

We adopted Tillie in September 2024. She had lived in the Dog Shelter for over a year and always was walked on a leash. We live on 18 acres with a large pond, creek and lots of wildlife. As a Plott Hound, she wanted to run and sniff all of the new odors. My husband and I are 60+ and had a hard time trying to walk her with the leash and give her the exercise she needs. Without the leash, she would run off and we would have to search for hours looking for her.
SpotOn was the best purchase we could have made. She quickly learned the tones. We can now let her run, and smell, and scare up the pheasants to her heart's content. She gets lots of needed exercise which has made her a happier dog. It's great we can set the boundaries to keep her out of the creek and pond, especially during the Winter Season. We love the tracking option, so we can always see where she is at and no longer have to worry about her.
Great investment. Money well spent!

Works good so far only had it a week

For the first time in three years I can finally leave my boy outside without worrying he’s going to go into the neighbors yard. Seems like everyone has “one” of those neighbors. I couldn’t afford to put up a physical fence so this was my solution. After researching many products and reading
Reviews Spot On had the best! The ease of setting it up was amazing. I’m so impressed! The results were fantastic. I’d highly recommend this product to anyone. I can’t wait to use this when I go to the river this summer. Spot on is truly SPOT ON!

I don’t usually make comments however the collar worked on my dog on the first day upon arrival so for now amazing.

I highly recommend this collar!! The SpotOn collar is quick and easy to set up and use. All we have to do is put the collar on our dogs and send them out the door. We never have to stand by the door to watch where they're going as we can watch right from the app. If any of our dogs goes beyond the fence, it quickly alerts us who has left and that it has started tracking. It also notifies us once they have returned to the premises. As said previously, I definitely recommend SpotOn as it has improved not only our lives, but our dogs as well! It is well worth the money!

I bought this to replace an inground wired pet fence and I sure wish I had got this GPS fence sooner! My hard-wired inground fence was constantly get broken from lawnmower guys, trees uprooted by a hurricane and Heavy equipment. I finally got tired of fixing broken wires.
As far as the app goes, it works well. The only perk I have is my dog was already trained, due to my old wired pet system, so the training part, I did not need and I have not figured out how to make it go away. else than that, it works well.

Does exactly as we hoped. We have a 1year old and 8 year old lab that have free rein over 15 acres. But there is a lot new construction next door and a road that’s getting busier. So after we had come home to a dog with 6in of wet cement of all four legs, we knew it was time to do something. Just using the tone and vibrate the dogs react and quickly learned the new boundaries. Only reason i’m even writing this review is because I just got an alert that he left the boundary, but 5 seconds later got another alert he was back in. We have it alerting 4 people, so one of use was able to quickly verify what was happening. This time they were just investigating some workers near the property boundaries liked we’d expect to, but they never actually left our area.

I have 4 collars only 2 seem to work well, the other 2 I have had for a while and work fine. If I only payed better attention to the 2 newer collars I would have sent them back for a replacement set. Its too late to send back now.

This has been the best investment for our Labradoodle who loves to sniff! This has kept Maverick safe in multiple different places. We bought it with the intent to use it on multiple properties and it has not disappointed at all. Easy to set up too. Great customer services, we had trouble with the charger after having it for a year and a new one was sent immediately. No questions asked. We would highly recommend the Spot On Collar to any dog owner. You will not regret this purchase. Thank you Spot On for helping keep our dog safe and unleashed.

We struggled and struggled trying to keep our dog inside our 2 + acre fenced yard. She continued to find weak points in the fence and escape. We tried everything...we researched all sorts of other options. THANKFULLY we found SPOTON. It works perfectly! It has been a huge stress reliever for our family. I wish we had tried this months ago !!!

Our 18 month Great Pyrenees started jumping the wall in the backyard and roaming. She has access inside and out through the dog door and we did not want to prevent her from having the freedom, nor did we want her to get injured by a car. The spot on collar offered a perfect solution. She quickly learned to mind the boundaries which we set up outside the wall but inside our property line. We also use it to let her off leash when we go to the Rillito. It stops her from running onto the paved path when dogs walk by. She will run right up to the border, then stop.
We had a problem with the collar battery not charging about a month after we purchased the collar. The customer service helped us troubleshoot and when nothing worked, they sent us a new collar. They were really helpful.

I fully expected to return this within 90 days, as I have the worst conditions possible, 6 fully wooded acres, metal roof on house, and a dog that wants to stay outside and hunt squirrels all day long. The reason I chose SpotOn over the competition was the 90 days, no restocking fee return, and the quick response to my emails discussing my conditions. I didn't even do the training correctly, thinking I was just wasting my time. I leashed Mia (1 yr old lab mix), walked her down the driveway toward the boundary. Once the collar beeped, I said "back" and pulled her away from the boundary. Did this 3 times consecutively, spending about 5 minutes total and that was the extent of the training. Wow, I can't brag enough about how amazing this collar has worked. The first few days, she escaped for a few minutes each time (probably due to my lack of training). I then added the prongs and set low stimulation. Now it's about once every couple of weeks, she crosses and returns immediately (app shows 2-5 secs). The few times during the day when she comes in for a nap, when she goes back outside, the collar connects quickly. That's even with trees covering the porch. When I check the mail, she walks with me, then stops before the boundary, sits and waits for me to start back up the driveway. The collar has held up well, washing the dirt and mud off it about once a week. To me the battery life isn't a problem. We just have the routine of taking it off every night. The few times we have forgotten to charge, it charges within an hour and the squirrels get an early morning break. I had a little trouble with the app connecting early on, but customer service was great, quickly found the problem and reset the collar remotely. Early on, when she would escape for a few minutes, the 6 second interval during tracking, was plenty quick enough for us to see where she was at and going. I've recommended the SpotOn to everyone with a dog that likes to spend most of it's day outside. The upfront cost is hard to swallow at first, but compared to an underground or traditional fence, it's a pretty small price. Sorry for the long writeup, but these are questions I couldn't find the answer to, when I was deciding on a quality GPS collar. Now, I just need SpotOn to develop something to keep Mia from chewing on everything I own.

This totally didn’t work for us. My dog breached every single time. A $40 collar from Amazon works 100% of the time but it’s manually activated. Somehow this $1000 device doesn’t get my golden doodle to even hesitate. What a waste of money. It’s also very bulky and the boundary lines move more than I understood they would. The tracking data is also not %100 accurate. After multiple attempts and multiple breaches over multiple days I had to give up because she was literally running into the street and running up to other neighbors dogs which caused quite the commotion. I live on 1.6 acres. I tried using the larger prongs to zap her but to no avail.

So far not so good. Biggest issue is the only place I can read the user's manual is on my iPhone. Have now created and attempted to use 3 different fences. Started out small and then large and have come back to a medium size. Not as easy to create as it suggests. Had no luck drawing so had to walk the boundary. Tested by carrying the collar in my hand. Could barely hear the tones, of course my hearings not at good as my pup's. Vibration was meh and my dog wasn't affected by either the tones on the vibration, so I went to the static which works, but there seem to be gaps that she finds and goes through. Just finished my first 30 days. Holidays are over so I plan to use my 30 minute consultation and give it another 30 day try, before I throw in the towel.

We have been using SpotOnGPS for about 1 year now for our 2 dogs.
We ha e a 9 acre property and were easily able to set up and use the collars
The tracking is touch and go we find that sometimes we arent able to see the dogs location on the app until we reset the collar power on/off
That being said the perimeter fence never goes down and these collars are a game changer
Customer support is absolutely amazing!!
We have had a few wear and tear concerns and this company is easily to deal with and ALWAYS come through with quick service and parts when needed.
SpotOnGPS gets 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
