These collars are GAME CHANGING!!
It was super easy to train my dogs (who have been previously ecollar trained), and the knowledge transfers to new locations so easily. The tracking is another layer of comfort. It has come in handy, and is also just fun to watch where my dogs go when they are exploring the 30 acre property my boyfriend owns!
The collars are super durable, and customer service was readily available when I had set up questions.
Cannot recommend enough!!!

It does everything you say it will - perfect for rural situations - love the multiple fences and safe zone features. And a big thank you to everyone who answers the tele. Great people who know the ansers and work hard to make things right. Keepup the good work!

Seems ok so far. Hard to train with as the tone is so quiet it is hard to hear and it is very hit or miss on the phone app. Sometimes the tone is going off and I don't know it. Hopefully as I use it it will become easier. So far it goes off where it should.

Absolutely love this collar!!! I truly wish I bought this collar sooner! The app is very user friendly. Anybody can use it. I struggle with technology, yet this is a breeze! I havebeen so grateful to have found a product that will let my dog enjoy our full acreage and keep him safe! I would give more stars if I could!

LOVE it! We were very hesitant to spend so much on a collar, but after much consideration and a failed attempt with a cheaper brand, we bit the bullet and bought Spot On. Really like that this can be used without a monthly subscription! I don’t think we would have bought it otherwise. It has been a game changer for us! We live on a farm with lots of space and previously our dog, Bentley would run off out of sight for awhile and a couple of times came back hurt. We had to do something to keep him safe outside. We considered an underground wire fence, but that was not a good option with the farm equipment working around our land so we started researching gps fences. We have been using Spot On for about 2+ months and I don’t think Bentley has left the fence once! We took our time with the training and he responded well to it. It is wonderful having him out and about without the worry of him going missing. Bentley stays out with the collar on during the day when we are home and we charge it at night and put him in the pen. This schedule works great for us.
We are so happy to have found this collar!

Several things stand out about these collars. They are waterproof and not water resistant. Our Healers and MinPin were all raised in water, living on a farm in SE Texas That was Extremely important to keep them comfortable in our heat. All though we have had a few problems with the collars the customer service has been unsurpassed!!! We have carved out about 4 acres that they use however they see fit. I tried the other guy's collars, they were NOT compatible with our WiFi provider (StarLink) and the customer service was less than desirable.

I was frustrated that the collar I bought was having issues as well as the refurbished one. They wanted to charge me for another collar and a lady called me yesterday 5-22-25 and was going to send me a refurbished collar for the one that failed and allowed me to buy another refurbished collar for my second dog. She was awesome and made me a believer again. She went above and beyond to satisfy me and made me at ease knowing I can get my dogs secured again. Again thanks for working with me and making things right. Customer service is great.

Took a few days of training my golden retriever she knows her boundaries. She stays in her 3 acres and away from the road. The collar works good but you have to train them spend the time and you will be happy with collar
Janine S.
This fence has been a life saver for us. So far she is doing excellent responding to the tones and vibration. It is so nice to go out and work in the yard and not have to chase her down every 5 minutes. I expected it to be harder to train her because she is a stubborn beagle but she picked up the boundaries quickly. She does go over the last boundary but we see her stop and turn around. Definitely with the investment for us.
Keith C.
Its taken a while but our Siberian Husky is finally obeying the fence.
Part of this is just her long coat. Spring has sprung and she is sheading some of that thick coat making it easier for the long collar prongs to contact her skin.
We also have learned to tweak her collar when putting it on.
Then there is the moving fence line day to day. We learned the hard way to move it in a bit, look for points of failure from the bread crumbs and adjust.
We also turn off her fence and take her trail running, she runs we walk, run or bike! While she is good about checking in we fear the day another creature with long legs is present and the chase begins. With the collar we at least know where to look.
Now if we could!
Issue static command from a distance. While she does listen to the tone when sent there are times when she just refuses to come when she breaks out. Treats or a Toy work but it would be a good enforcement to be able to issue from beyond the range of bluetooth.
Add a keepout zone outside the fence incase she breaks out. We have neighbors with horses which she will harass.

We spent approximately 10 days just training Sedona with the tones (which at the time didn't seem to create any recognition of a "fence" line - she thought is was a fun game running up and turning back only to get a treat). However, after installing the prongs and resulting "buzz" treatment, it only took 3 times going up to the fence before she would no longer get near the fence line! So our frustration with only "tones" made sense to her, obviously they're a warning of the "buzz" to come and she no longer challenges the "fence". We thank you for this wonderful product and the ability for Sedona to live on 2.5 acres without a tethered rope in the ground.

The SpotOn collar is the most useful item I ever bought for our Malinois. We have 5 acres, which is half wooded, with two property lines determined by creeks. We’re able to watch where our dog is at all times allowing us to perform our normal functions while knowing where and generally what he is doing. I monitor his location for as much as 10-12 hours a day, which is more than most users. SpotOn support as top of the line and always courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend this product.
Kevin J.
Fence and collar work well. There is some drift where day to day the fence moves a few feet. We have 5 acres and it’s noticeable. I think this could be a problem in a small area. I wish there was a way to swap batteries. we keep odd hours and sometimes forget to charge at night. The only serious disappointment is in the apps ability to track (subscription). It takes way too long to find the collar and it’s usually behind by a few minutes when it first starts to track. With an energetic GSD she could be a township away by the time the app starts tracking the collar. We will be canceling the app subscription.

I was having a little trouble moving and setting the boundary line so I called for help...after an immediate response, a very calm and understanding gal quickly gave us a simple suggestion that helped then offered another suggestion that was,.also, very helpful.

Our two beautiful Brittany’s, Burl and Rowan a very active and would not do well just being leash walked. They need to run for several miles each day to be healthy and happy. Obviously that means being off leash, but while their recalls are excellent, we want to ensure their safety in terms of the areas they can run in. The gps collars allow us to know where the dogs are at all times and the gps fence allows us to place limits on their travels. So when that experience went a bit haywire the support team at SpotOn quickly addressed the problem and got things back on track.
John P.
We’ve had spot on for about a year. Charlie adapted quickly and is still obedient to the boundaries today.
Even when chasing squirrels, cats, rabbits, birds..
Buddy is very different. The new manual feature is a huge help. Thank you.
We’ll keep trying with buddy.

The call feature works well for both dogs…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Incredible – Worth Every Penny!
The SpotOn GPS Collar has been everything they promised—and so much more! We were hopeful when we bought it, but honestly, it's exceeded every expectation. Our dog, Gunner, was trained within just a few days, and now he has the freedom to roam all 7 acres of our property without us constantly worrying he’ll wander off to the neighbors' or beyond.
The GPS fence is incredibly accurate, the training process was straightforward and effective, and the peace of mind it brings is priceless. Gunner gets to enjoy his freedom, and we get to enjoy knowing he's safe and secure.
If you're on the fence—don’t be. This collar is a game-changer. Total freedom for your dog, total peace of mind for you!

I have 12 Spoton Gps collars. The first 8 cost $1100 each and the last 4 were 899-999.00. Needless to say, we have spent thousands with this brand.
They worked great up until the last couple of months. I even recently bought 2 more and one arrived DOA. I called within an hour of receipt and the company immediately sent out a replacement "under warranty"
We chose this brand due to living in a forested area and this being one of the only collars that works well in the forest. Unfortunately, the collars have become unreliable! I have dogs leaving the property regularly now.
I have tested my collars and there are times they just don't give any warning until the dogs are hundreds of feet out of the boundary. Then it does not alert or use static once they are past the line so they just keep going.
They also added some new features recently that you can use through the app. None of those features work on any of the 12 collars that I have tried it on.
Lastly, the first few collars I bought had the option to pick Verizon or AT &T. Now they send "omni" provider. Unfortunately, the tracking now barely works on any of my collars. I get the message that the collar in unreachable.
If you live in an open field they will probably still work. However, we are on 130 acres with a lot of it forested. There is a busy road that runs in front of our property so I guess we are going to have to find an alternative for our farm.
Stephen F.
We are on a 3acre lot in a rural area of Ontario, Canada. Rarely would we have issues with our boys, Cooper and Bruno…that is, until someone decided to build a new home/cottage. Once we received a nasty letter taped to our door from said neighbour, outlining health and safety concerns we researched containment options and not one offered as many options as Spot On. Our property is heavily forested and the service works very well. Very happy with our choice.
Kristy P.
I loved the concept of the spot on and while it worked it was a wonderful collar. But the collar itself needs to be made of sturdier material. We bought our collar in June of last year and we have had two collars that have been punctured and were unable to be repaired. So if you could make a collar that is more durable this would be a fantastic collar that would be well worth the money.
Kyra B.
I bought on of these collars and trying to get it to connect with Bluetooth is a nightmare. I bought it to work at my mother ranch and it’s saying it kind find any signal. Very disappointing. It’s not even very treed. In Alberta, Canada
Gail K.
Our puppy now has free reign over our farm - buy only where we want him to roam. He stays off the road and out of the lagoon because of the collar. Buddy was quick to learn that he can't go past the line. He even obeys the boundary if we forget to put his collar back on after charging. We are happy customers!
Elise A.
Love this collar! It's super easy to use and works incredibly well. Even better, their customer service is outstanding! I've reached out twice about lost pieces, and both times they responded immediately and resolved the issue right away. Truly awesome support and a great product!
Brandt O.
It’s been about 4 months now from when our collars came in the mail and I would have to say that I Highly Recommend SpotOn collars. The train the pups was fast and easy and I have complete comfort that our dogs are save in our yard. Thank you SpotOn.
Emily K.
This company is AMAZING! When you call you actually speak to a living human! Not to mention if you have any problems they get with you immediately and are pleasant and helpful. Issues resolved and the product is exactly how they describe it! Still training my dog on the product, but so far so good! Thanks Spoton for being a company who stand by their word.
Shane R.
Take just a second and read this.... I was skeptical just like anyone else about the SpotOn collars. Then you add the cost, I was also asking myself will they really work? Well, the collars do work, and it allows both my pups (Percy & Maverick) more options, rather than staying in a dog crate or fenced in area all day. They both now roam freely on 30 acres without me worrying about their safety. On top of all that the customer service has been great! I have NO regrets about purchasing both of my SpotOn collars. It's a game changer and gives your pets the freedom they deserve. I hope this helps someone that is on the fence about purchasing a SpotOn collar.
Jessica K.
Our 4 1/2 month old Chessadoodle has been using his SpotOn collar for less than a month and is completely trained. After playing around with "home zones" to accommodate our metal pole barn interfering with GPS signals this collar gives our dog full run of our 2.25 acre property. He is loving his life unleashed! I would recommend this product time and time again!
Brian C.
The service works and has helped my dogs. However I have had several issues. One of my dogs the receiver wears a raw spot on her neck and she can only wear it part of the time. My other dogs collar battery has an issue, and here’s where my poor review comes in. The customer service. After sending in several specific pictures because of a bad battery in my collar, they will not warranty the collar without me sending it in for their inspection and to fix it. They also refuse to replace the collar or provide a loaner. So if you have issues with your collar be prepared for your pet to not have its needed safety accessory while it’s being fixed. I would check into other manufacturers before making a purchase here.
Toni W.
This collar does not work at all! Would never buy again and would not recommend anyone to buy. We live on a working ranch and have a great pyrenese mix. We live near a busy highway so it is important for us to have this collar working.
Some problems we have:
1. The startup instructions do not tell you when the collar is done charging. There is a small light that glows green or white but there is no instructions for what the light means. Does green mean charged? Does it mean on? What does the white light mean? What does it mean when the light blinks?
2. Not being able to tell if the collar is on. There is one button but it does not say on or off. We can check that on the app but this is inconvenient if the person who has the app on their phone is not home or available to test the collar.
3. We have carried it on our own skin and there is no shock at all even though that function is on.
4. We got the collar to work once on our dog and the dog ran through the gps fence and was so fast that she felt that shock but it didn't matter to her.
For the price, it's just not worth the problems.
Charlotte W.
The system was super easy to set up and the location of the boundary has been reliable -even in the woods. Our first dog took about three weeks to train - but we were so happy with the results, we will be getting SpotOn for our other dogs as well!

Burned my dogs throat
David
Unfortunately, I had to get a refund when it started alerting while my animals were inside the hosue. It does not function well in the mountains.
Corey C.
Horrible product and worse customer service. I bought this collar for my dog only to have it not function properly. Upon contacting spot on and informing them of this, I explained that I wanted to return the collar. When it malfunctioned it wouldn't stop going off even though my dog ran back to the safe zone. This traumatized him in a way that he wants nothing to do with the collar now. They essentially told me too bad I'm stuck with their one thousand dollar dog collar. So I asked them to please reconsider to which they responded with the same answer but told me I could sell it to someone second hand. Why would I sell this problem to someone else so they can experience the same regret and frustration. This company is no good. Stay away from spot on. Halo collars are much better and half the cost from what I've heard.
Melissa H.
collar worked intermittently. It was on my task list to replace it with a better brand. I waited to long. my dog ran off my property (with collar on), it did not even register as an escape. My dog got hit by a truck and will now be an amputee. Thanks spot on. I cannot believe this happened. DO NOT TRUST THIS COLLAR.
Steven R.
The Spot On collar is great, the GPS function is awesome. It works as advertised. Some things I don't like are the battery doesn't last long at all, and when you turn on the extended battery mode it turns off any tracking. And any stay out areas you want to define have a minimum 30ft and then it won't allow that area to be too close to the perimeter fence so you have to get extra creative to creat thoses areas. And the biggest issue is that my dog can actually turn off the collar when lying on the ground , that os a huge issue..
ERIC T.
This collar is incredible! Easy to use, works really well, our dogs have learned the boundary quickly! Keeps our Huskies out of our pond, so they don't come in dirty. Gives are dogs the freedom to run, without running away. It's the best dog fence on the market!
Michael
Didn't see anything in the literature that you weren't supposed to start training until 1 year old, and I did a lot of research on this and other products. That was a disappointment. I am starting her training this week at 6 1/2 mos.
John T.
My dog loves the freedom! I have 6 acres and she runs and runs without worry!
Tony .
Inconsistent signal. Inconsistent bluetooth connection with iphone. Better off buying 2 in ground systems for the same price.
Kelley M.
I was weary to spend the money on this collar because my German Shorthair Pointer is very smart and knows how to get maneuver his neck to make a collar not shock him. He cannot in this collar! I love that it took just a few minutes to set up and it was ready to use. I love that I do not have to subscribe to a monthly charge if I do not want to. I will never use another collar besides this one! He has worn it swimming in the pond and it is still working. It stays charged good and doesn't take long to recharge it. Highly recommend.

Not durable!!!!!Collars are not suitable for two dog that like to play. We really were happy with the collars as we have two big German shepherds that love to play and wrestle with each other. The collars are not durable. As soon as a year was up one of our collars stop working and they ask for us to send a picture. They told me that the collar was not fixable by looking at the picture. We paid over $3500 as we live in Canada. And there is only one year warranty so they said there is nothing they can do. That is a lot of money to spend for one year. And how can you tell by a picture that it is not fixable. Not happy.
Fences are great. GPS part is great. Training is easy. Waterproof
Mike S.
Does it work well even in heavily worded area ls the gps part
Deirdre J.
SpotOn works! It was a big investment for our family because of the high price. However, knowing our family pet, livestock protector and 4-H project dog is safe and where he belongs is priceless. I like to say that our huge Great Pyrenees loves the open road because his favorite pastime was sneaking out to the busy road and chasing cars, rather than roaming our 13 acre ranch. He was in real danger of being hit or causing an accident. Now he knows exactly where he can go with the collar and has come up with other exciting activities within the geo fence. We love SpotOn.
Vinson K.
I took a couple of weeks to train our beagle Maggie Mae. We had the correction set to level 3 and it only took one correction for her to put it all together. She immediately backs off when she hears the tones. We are confident that we won't need to use the correction in the future. Our experience with customer service so far has been nothing but stellar! We couldn't be happier with the collar as well as customer service! Maggie Mae agrees!
Bret S.
Omg-this thing is a life saver. At 6 months old I got this. Actually about 5.5 months. I got it in-set the fence-which is SUPER EASY- and led him around the fence line to get him used to it. And that was it. I know there are tutorials and so forth-but I have a smart dog. Next day I just let him figure it out and he did quick dang and In a hurry. My brother lives down the road and I made a fence there a week later and Ranger knew the boundaries when he heard the warning sounds. He has had it for a month now and now he won’t even follow me when I walk outside the fence. An ABSOLUTE awesome collar. This thing is awesome and it’s just
Freedom for me and freedom for ranger. It’s awesome. It is a bit pricey-but for me-it was totally worth it CUZ IT WORKS!
Sandi
Worth every penny!!!!

We live in the suburbs, and have a large, high energy dog that needs to run around more than we can provide by walking him. The spot on collar has given us the confidence to let our Alfred outside and not have to worry about him leaving the yard! Set up and training were super easy. We had an issue with the battery, and customer service went above and beyond to help us. We also have a fence for my parents yard (they have 3 acres) and once it was set up, he was good to go because he was already trained to listen to the tones and vibration. Couldn’t recommend spot on more!
Rhonda D.
My dog figured out his boundaries in one day. He stays inside them even when the Beagle runs past and goes to the woods. The very reason I bought the spot on collar. They had ran off for 2 days before I had a collar. I love how it works. I only wish it was more like a regular collar. But I am very satisfied with it so far.
Mike G.
The product works great. Trained the dog in about 4 days and now she will not leave the boundary even when chasing rabbits and squirrels. Took a while to fully understand a few things but great customer service.
Stephanie G.
So far, so good. We have a 1 year old Labrador Retriever Mix, and she absolutely LOVES being able to run all over our 1 acre lot, and I am happy to be able to let her run and play instead of being stuck on the porch. THANK YOU GUYS.
Amie D.
Just seems to have a lot of issues with the satellite aligning with my fence parameters so the collar corrects when mot needed
David F.
The Spot On GPS collars work exceptionally well and the best part is that the company is the most responsive and helpful that I have ever encountered and I have raised dogs since the early 1950's. Yes, still rescuing dogs at almost 79 with lots of experience. I highly recommended this product and the expense is well worth it.
Vincent M.
Before SpotOn I was constantly checking to see where Phineas was to make sure he wasn't on the neighbor's property or in the cow pasture across the road. I was always worried he would get in trouble. Now, he can go out by himself and play without me having to check on him. If he does break the fence he always returns immediately and I get notified on my phone and tablet. His freedom and mine have been greatly enhanced. I have two fences set up, one for the yard and a small section of my property behind the house and another that encompasses my entire 21.5 acres where we take our daily walks. Thank you SpotOn.
Charles M.
We have a german shepherd-border collie mix named Hagrid (he did not get as big as we expected). Lot's of energy and a high prey instinct. With minimal training he's adjusted to the boundaries. This way, he has 10 acres to run around in and can chase deer to his heart's content (or hart's content? eh? eh?). We've been able to go visit family and friends and just draw a new fence for their place and he has adjusted just fine. The few times he's crossed the line, the tracking function let's us find him right away. This has been a handful of times in the 3.5 years we've used the collar.
Additionally, the e-collar functionality has been a lifesaver. We like to say Hagrid is aggressively friendly so sometimes he needs to be warned about getting in people's faces, literally. He will get a little too excited and jump on you to lick your face when he first meets you. A quick vibrate or alarm on the collar and he backs right off.
When we have had issues, customer service has been prompt and super helpful.
Larry L.
My dog very quickly learned the boundaries, in spite of having gotten used to chasing deer, squirrels, butterflies and birds out through the woods. Now, she stops the chase at the boundary and returns to the front yard.
We are very pleased.
David L.
Nice concept and good product when working, but it has been troublesome for me. The first unit I got developed a rattle associated with a loose part and the performance became erratic. That got fixed under warranty but later another problem developed which was also fixed under warranty. Now less than a year after I got the second warranty fix it no longer picks up any GPS satellites, where it used to pick up 18-20 in my yard (when it was working). We'll see what Spot On does about this latest problem, but needless to say I am disappointed with the quality/longevity of the collar.
Jordan H.
This is a great collar, I was pretty skeptical at first especially considering how much it cost but it’s awesome!
They have the freedom to run all over our farm and I can check to see where they’re at at all times
They’ve learned the tones quick and what happens when they go out of the fence, I have mine turned up about 2/3 the way and they hardly go out and they’re right back in if they do
I give it a 10/10 and it automatically renews my subscription every year
Greg R.
Purchased for a livestock guardian dog. Battery life is poor and a backup collar is out of the question, price wise. Also, the collar loses him when he enters barn and when he emerges, it won’t pick him up again for 15 minutes or so. The gps was also surprisingly inaccurate, with variances up to 20’. We basically quit using it, was a waste of money for how we needed it to work; even spoke with sales directly before purchase explaining expectations.
Nicole
Has been working great! He hears the tone and turns right away. Texas Heeler (half aussie/half heeler). I love that I can great more than one fence and that we can bring it anywhere we travel. Super handy!
Lisa M.
So far the collar seems to be doing its job. I have a beagle that loves to chase his nose. The SpotOn collar has been accurate with tracking and it was easy to set up the fence. We have only been using the collar for about 5 days and so far he has not gone past the boundaries. The downside to the collar is, it’s very large and bulky and there isn’t anywhere to attach a name tag which means he will need to wear 2 collars so he has identification should he go past the boundary. Wearing 2 collars will be difficult due to how bulky the collar is. Also you cannot give manual corrections. Up until now my dog has worn a tracker with a shock collar that has sound, vibration and static correction and comes when I beep or vibrate his collar. You can’t do that with this collar. It does have a whistle feature but it isn’t loud at all so when my beagle is on the trail of something there is no way that will get his attention. Overall I do like the collar and will continue to use it and hope it continues to keep him closer to home.
Jennifer H.
I love the collar. I have tried numerous collars to finally find the perfect one that keeps her in her boundaries without having dead zones or interference with trees or metal buildings. The only thing I feel it’s lacking is to be able to correct manually. When she starts barking at neighbors or if she simply is not listening to her come command or drop it command, I would like to be able to have the option to vibrate or even shock if needed available on the app. I have a separate corrective collar but I can’t put two different collars on her. Other than that it works very good and I am happy with my purchase.
Ian V.
What a top-notch company. We’ve had the collar for over a year and roughly about eight months in I noticed that something was loose inside the collar. Even though It worked like nothing was wrong. We stopped using it and reached out for warranty info. At this time, sadly I procrastinated and basically waited another six months, since I waited it was out of warranty, but reached out recently and they still covered it. You guys are awesome
Jasmine G.
You can add multiple dogs but you can only Bluetooth one at a time, so that means you can only see if one escapes the barrier. For the price of this item I am not happy about this or the fact that it’s a little difficult to adjust the fence dots on the app with my fingers even when zoomed in all the way.
Laura S.
Meet Robert. Robert is a dog. Robert was dumped near our house weighing only 35 pounds. (He now weighs over 80.) He probably has some German Shepherd and black lab in the mix, because his two favorite things are running and swimming. Robert lives in rural Arkansas on 22 acres, about half of which is covered in heavy trees. We knew we didn’t want a dog that was able to chase deer and harass our neighbor’s cows, goats, and chickens, but we didn’t want to keep him confined. So we decided to take the plunge and buy the SpotOn collar. Training Robert was easy and the collar works great. We can leave him outside all day with no worries. He chases deer to the perimeter of the fence and turns back. He swims in the pond and does all his doggie activities. So far, the SpotOn collar has been a great purchase.
TJ M.
Collar works well and great product overall.
However, the collar stopped working after about a year and needed to have new battery, gps and molding, which I was required to pay for. That was pretty disappointing.
Jordan F.
I really debated getting these for a while due to cost, but man, I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I have 2 huskies, one is real adventurer, and these collars have been a lifesaver and peace of mind. I gave my dogs a couple boundary walks with the collars when we first got them and they figured it out pretty quickly, with really no other training. I keep the tracking on the adventuerer pup to keep track of when he tries to breach the boundary, and for my other guy we don't need to use the subscription. I love these.
GRANT R.
Have been very happy with the fence and the customer service. If you follow the training videos this is an excellent product. I've had several encounters with customer service on some small issues, but they have been great. This allows my dog to roam our entire acreage without worry. Spot on will be my go to for all my dogs in the future.
Ken C.
Since getting spot on.. Maxx our German shepherd can no longer shop at the neighbors.. So far it has been working great....
Ken C.
We got spot on for our German shepherd Maxx...And so far it works great.. Maxx can't go shopping the neighborhood anymore..
Julie M.
We bought our collars roughly two years ago and have had non-stop issues with it. I feel like it was every other week we were sending our collars in for warranty repairs. For the amount of money that we paid for two collars, it was not worth the hassle of constant issues with the collars that included issues with the collar and the firmware.
Jennifer
Product is good. I think this collar is better for a very large acreage parcel. The “shock” is not strong enough to deter my dog from going through the boundary. I had an issue with the battery and customer service was great and replaced it.
James K.
We have a Husky/German Shepard mix who seems to be more Husky than Shepard. Training her to the fence went really well. It took about 2 weeks for her to get it down and test her with other animals on the other side of the fence, being she is extremely prey driven. She has tremendous respect for the fence and will turn around as soon as she hears the tone and barely ever getting to the static correction line. I was impressed even with her thick fur. I have had my problems with it. I have observed her walk right through the line and never get a tone or correction. This was in a lightly forested area. She did come back after about 10 minutes. Which leads me to the next issue. I purchased the cell plan to monitor her if she gets out. We have around 1-2 bars of service in our area, and I have Wi-Fi covering about half of our 11 acres she’s allowed to be on. Her collar barely ever connects to the cell network and obviously it won’t connect to Wi-Fi. I was not told by your system that she was even out of her line even as I watched her walk off until about an hour after she came back. For as fast as she can run and all the back country we live in. That could have been very bad. These things should be able to connect with 1-2bars of signal they’re not sending much data. Very disappointed in the cell plan. My last problem is, then I’ll shut up is the collar clasp. It is very difficult to snap into place with her thick fur and have it tight enough so the collar doesn’t move and keep the satellite on top of her neck. A regular old buckle would work nicer and be easier on the hands.

We have great pyrenees that are livestock guardians. These collars do not hold up to the lifestyle of a working dog. The first one that I bought lasted less than a week and the replacement that they sent had a prong break off. Waist of $1000.00.

Two rotten Rottweilers and a Golden. Hands down the best investment I have made into all of my dogs. I can see them all individually, which I love. Living in a low cell service area, these collars still work great. My dogs were already stim collar trained, so I honestly snapped these on and walked away. One snap did break (the golden was playing tug of war with the collar around a Rottie) and it’s kinda a bummer you have to buy the whole strap, but the replacement was easy. Had these for over a year and have held up well to swimming, playing, hiking. Recommend these all the time to people.

This literally took less than 1 hour for our bernedoodle to figure out. We love it.

Thanks to spot on fence i can let my wild Boykin Spaniel enjoy life and run free. Anyone who owns a spaniel knows they absolutely love running free and chasing every bird in site. With us living on a farm this was the best investment ever! He can roam and i have a peace of mind while he is free. I also now have three collars for my other dogs! So if you are on the fence about spot on take my advice IT IS THE BEST THING EVER!!

Love this collar! Easy training for a husky (which is saying alot lol) And no more "long walks"! Super easy setup and have seen multiple times how it has stopped him from crossing the boundaries, without even using the static feature (which is originally why i got this collar because it offered it) but haven't had to use it, the vibration works great for turning him around!

I’m glad to see so many customers enjoy their gps collar. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same. I blame my dissatisfaction more on my internet connection because it is very spotty in my neighborhood so half of the time the collar does not work. But then there’s time when it says fence is still activated even though the Bluetooth connection is not working and my dog runs in and out of the boundary lines with no warning signal or shock. It is extremely frustrating considering the amount paid for the collar and the fact that I have to stay outside with my dog (very close to her collar) in order to not lose connection as often. At this point I would not recommend this collar. Maybe when it can be tested with a better internet connection, I would feel differently.
But then again, the fact it says fence still activated when Bluetooth not picking up but in real life it is not, IDK.

We love spot on. It works perfectly for my adventurous puppy. He learned is boundaries very quickly. Now I can let him out and he can roam safely. And I can easily track him if he escapes his fence. We tried a cheap wireless fence first and he would jump right through the boundary but not with spot on. He has never escaped it.

Very easy to set up. I like the option to add multiple fences. Training was a breeze with our Great Pyrenees puppy.

Received my collar and 30 minutes later it was mapped out and working.
I had an invisible fence for years prior to this so no training was necessary for my Boxer.
I really like the idea of not worrying and trying to find a break in the line, great product, a little pricey but compared to what we put into our furry friends, well worth it.

The collar is great, nice that you can always see where he is but the only thing that would make it the best would be to have a correction button or shock button whatever you want to call it. Would help with training

It was a hard decision to spend so much money at once...two collars for 2 dogs, but only one with tracking. I researched all the fancy collars and finally decided to go with SpotOn. We live on 3 acres with trees and a creek, next to acres of fields. My pups had been crossing to neighbors property and running down the road.
After the FIRST day with their collars, they have not left our property. We had to do some experiments with the boundaries, but once we got it set correctly - they work perfectly.
Thank you!

Charlie Daniels Wagner....mixed border collie rescued in August 2022. He used a radio collar since day one but our metal siding interfered with the collar and he could find ways to escape in dead areas. I broke down and paid the Spot On price with hesitancy. But it has been a godsend and a life saver for Charlie. He stays within the boundaries and also I mark the dead zones around our metal home as safety so that he never gets shocked there for any reason. I have 3 fences set up for differ3nt seasons when we have a garden and when we are raising livestock. He is so much better now and does not escape anymore like he did with other collars. He tests the boundaries once in a while but it's always like for 2 seconds

I love the freedom this collar gives my dog, and me as a responsible owner. I love the comfort level I feel allowing my dog out to play and explore my vast yard. I live in a rural area, with 2 large ponds. I have a winter map, to keep Tess off the ponds' ice, and safe. My summer map allows her into one of the ponds' as she loves to hang with us on the dock, and swim. I have 3 other major maps made and use them when I visit my 2 sons, or my boyfriend. They all live close by, and have extensive property. I love to have Tess with me, as I visit , rather than leave her on her own at home.

I have to say, I never write reviews... But this collar totally changed my dogs life! I did not expect it to work as well as it does, but its so worth it... I have a big property, lots of trees and ponds, and my 2 dogs (a pit mix and a Cane corso) can now roam around freely and enjoy life!... AND, if I call their names and they dont come right away, I just go on the app and I can see exactly where they are! So smart... Also amazing customer service! Ive had to call twice with a question/small issue, and the people I spoke with were so nice and helped me right away... Great product!

After having several incidences of my dog, wandering off my property wasting time trying to locate her I decided to buy the spot on the fence although it is a little bit pricey, but it is well worth the price after buying it the first day we received it we had no more issues she stayed within the boundaries we suck The spot on Geo fence was a lifesaver ?

Two dogs on two acres of land in town. The cellular tracking hasn't worked since the second day we had turned on the subscriptions. Just shows the dogs as always in the house. Battery life is about 8 hours.

Collar works as described other than the battery life. I am able to track where the dog is on the property. Next upgrade to collar should include in the phone app where you can turn the collar off and on when you want to take your dog off the property, otherwise have to take the collar off and carry it around and put it back on when we re-enter the marked fence zone. Battery life is ok, Received low battery notification at 15 hours. An upgrade needs to be added to extend the battery life longer.

My wife and I adopted a couple of dogs who were dumped down the road from us, they are just puppies, about 9 months old. They are extremely active, and would run off in the blink of an eye. We knew we had to do something, so we went to looking online, and that's when we found SpotOn. These collars have been a lifesaver! It has taken very little training and they have figured out where the borders are. We were a bit hesitant as we live out in the country but they work perfectly. We have a pretty large timber along a field behind our house, and they love to go running through it, and it's just nice to know where they are and that they haven't ran over to the neighbors place or to the next town over lol. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about them!

If it wasn’t for SpotON my Border Collie would be dragging around a long line every time she was outside. I have never had trouble with boundaries with any of my Border Collies, but Sky tested all my training techniques. SpotOn gives Sky the freedom on our 10 acres and stops her from rolling a horse farm manure pile down the road or an afternoon swim in our neighbors pool or squeezing through the cat door to peruse another neighbor’s kitchen. I have recommended SpotOn to anyone who express a boundary problem. Thank you SpotOn!

This purchase has been a lifesaver for us! Rainier is 90 lbs and loves to run and play. We live on over 5 acres and he gets to roam wherever we put the fence. Each year we go camping we map out where we are going to be a pre-load his “Camp Collar”. We live in the woods so when the circle of life happens in our yard we can adjust his collar so he can’t get into the mess left behind. When we had an issue with the battery, SpotOn paid for shipping both ways and fixed the issue no charge. Honestly, this collar has made the difference of being able to have a dog or not on our property! Amazing company and product!

Our dogs have been pretrained (youngest came from a farm where they already had Spot On, and the younger two were trained with electric poultry netting). Training, as such, was a breeze. The dogs respect the perimeter. While they may breach the perimeter they come back within a minute and never travel over 0.01 miles. The dogs are happy to be free and have full reign of our 24 acres. Would highly recommend!

We love the collar it has given our one dog who doesn’t like to return when called a chance to run free with the other dogs at our home. I’ll admit the price tag kept me from purchasing one for a longtime, but after one night the 3 dogs took of chasing something and 2 of them returned when called and he ran out onto the road in the dark and was almost hit by a car right in front of both my sons and myself I decided I couldn’t risk losing him anymore. They were already trained on “shock” collars but I didn’t have his on that night. But it made the transition to this collar much easier he caught on quickly to not cross his zones. My only complaint is I wish it had an option to manually beep/vibrate when needed. Because he is still a very excitable dog sometimes and jumps up on people and that’s what we used the other collars for. The zone drift is sometimes an issue when we’re in town visiting friends and it allows him beyond the yard close to or onto the road. And twice now I’ve forgotten to turn off the fence when we hopped into the car to go somewhere and he unfortunately was corrected before I was able to get my phone out to turn the fence off when I heard the alarm, I don’t know how something like that could be remedied with future collars, maybe automatic fence delay/shutoff when the dog is with/next to someone who is Bluetooth connected to the collar?!? But thank you for the freedom the collar has given my dog and the peace of mind I have now that when he has his collar on he will be safer from something terrible happening when he gets rambunctious.

Product works great, we live in Northern Alberta with minimal cell service levels. Our dog doesn’t wonder and reacts quickly to the collar!

Works great for my coon hound he picked up on it in about a day and a half and he is also almost 10 years old.

SpotOn fence was easy to set up. We really like the ability to set up a no-enter zone inside the larger fence. I am a little bit disappointed by the lack of manual correction features. I am currently using a Garmin Alpha in addition to the SpotOn collar because the Garmin has a few features that I just can't live without, including manual correction, better tracking features, and a tracking log of where my dog has been for the last few hours. We have a fairly large property and I like to keep tabs on whether Dixie is doing her job of following the goat herd and patrolling the property and not just lounging in the driveway or amusing herself by chasing cars along the fence line.
I would like to see a feature change where the no-enter fence can be set up by walking the perimeter instead of drawing it on a map. I want to keep Dixie out of the horse corral, but drawing it on the phone was near impossible. It would have been much easier to walk the corral fence instead of trying to draw it (which took a ridiculously long time and required some janky work-arounds to finally get it programmed into the system properly).
Other than those things, the collar seems to work exactly as expected. Dixie is extremely good with tones due to past training with the Garmin collar, and she is staying within the property bounds and out of the horse corral. She spends less time chasing cars along the fence line now because the collar chimes at her if she gets too close to the perimeter. As soon as she hears the chime it interrupts her and reminds her that she's not making good choices.

We have had spot on for a few weeks and love it. It was extremely easy to set up. Our nine month old beagle loves his freedom. He was easy to train and took to the corrections.
