She has escaped, but always comes back. I don't like it. However the tracker works great. I used to have Tractive which was very spotty.
At this point in time I have attached a crate which slows her down and keeps her from going under or through a fence.
Kathleen .
It works exactly as intended.

The collars have been great for allowing our dogs a nice size area to run and not be able to run off. After the first year of actual use, the battery life in the course of a day, has definitely dropped down to the point they will not last 14 hours. 12 hours is about their battery life now. I will be contacting customer support. These are supposed to be the upgraded batteries with better lifespan. Not to happy about this part of it.

Our dogs were already collar conditioned to an E collar, so breaking them in to the SpotOn collar was easy. Making the contained area is easy, just walk the area. You can also draw it on the app, but I had difficulty trying it that way. If you travel with your pets you always have a fenced in area.

This is Great Pyrenees approved! I wanted to give it at least 6 months to write a review, and am happy to report we are so grateful for this collar. It is 100x over worth the cost. Her safety was our #1 priority when moving to some acreage off a busy road. Luna is not phased by static collars usually, in fact she walked through this a few times with no emotion. We have the static set to 30/30 for her safety, and she has not breached the border despite rabbits, squirrels and other dogs walking by. She enjoys patrolling the border daily with her cat sidekick.

Graham is a golden doodle. He enjoys roaming or 40 acres. It is such a relief to have the ability to know his location in real time. Makes life a lot easier. Money well spent.

We have a very energetic Border Collie. After a few weeks of training on the Spot On system he can now chase his frisbee with being tethered to a leash! We found the Spot On system easy to set up and use. We are very happy with our purchase and recommend it highly. The customer service from Spot On was outstanding as well.
Mike
This product make our livestock guardian more effective by keeping him on our property and not the neighbors. What a great system, we love it. Assuming it holds up, then it's well worth the cost.
Chad
Looks great, like quality,. Learning how to get it set-up today!! Wish us luck!!

These collars have been a life saver, quite literally but also figuratively! They have prevented my dogs from running across my streets many times, even when they see another dog or another animal such as a deer! Figuratively they saved my life too! They just love my new yard but it was becoming a real chore trying to ensure they stay within my property lines. Rather than build a physical fence I thought why not give these collars a try. Now I have the freedom to do my own chores and household maintenance without having to check on them every 30 seconds. What's been great is being able to see their location on the app. My phone will also alert me if my doggies get close to the boundary. I think these collars will end up paying for themselves considering a physical fence would be a lot more money.

Piece of mind is worth so much. This has been such a relief to know that Copper is safe and stays on his property. I have had to use the assistant to answer a few questions but have always found a resolution to my issues. The only disadvantage I find is the manual correction from the phone app isn’t quick enough to correct his behavior. There is too long of a delay of when you push the button and when he receives the vibration/static alert. Training his boundaries was easy as we had been using a training collar before this. Overall this has been a great investment.

Excellent customer service!

Daisy is a 7 year old Australian Shepherd. We adopted her when we had a fully fenced yard so she ran free. Then we moved to a golf course community that does not allow any fence. We purchased SpotOn because of excellent reviews and generous return policy. SERIOUSLY… ONE walk around the perimeter and she understood “her yard”. It doesn't matter if there are trespassing birds or her mortal enemy a SQUIRREL… Daisy will slam on her brakes like in a cartoon when she gets near the boundary! Worth every cent! Buy this one!
Michael F.
The Spot On collars are fantastic! The training process took about 5-7 days, a couple sessions each day. Very easy and efficient, my dogs and family love the freedom and versatility the collars have given us.
A 10 out of 10, don’t settle for any other product!

We live on a 20 acre property that has bush so that we cannot see the gravel road from our yard. Having had a bad experience with loosing a dog to being hit by a car, we decided when we got another dog we needed protect that dog better. We did a lot of research, even considering whether we would dig in a wire for a fence, but that cost was pretty high and my brother had had so many problems with breaks in his. So, in August of 2024, we decided to buy Spot On. We took our time training our Gracie with the collar and the leash all around our property according to the instructions. We even left for a vacation about 5 weeks after getting it with the neighbor girl checking on her and our other animals twice daily and she did great! She caught on quickly, only twice did she leave the yard. Both times, it scared her and she learned very quickly. Our favorite is that we can exclude her from areas - the gardens, the deck, the cattle pasture, etc. Pretty much anywhere we need. What a blessing to know she is safe and she can enjoy her life exploring and protecting our property from wild critters which she just loves. So far, she is in our garage kenneled for the night so no problems for charge times.

Spoton has been amazing! The ease of setting up the fences and the app is perfect! The fence tells you when and where your dog tried to get out- they keep a record! This fence is great since we don't have the best cell service here.
Linda H.
We got our dog when she was 8 months old. She was a rescue, found roaming the reservation and a bit skinny. She was used to running wild and going where ever she pleased. We live in the woods on the side of a mountain and containing her was impossible. With the Spot On fence she now has a about a 2 acre area she can roam without getting out. We love it, and she has some freedom.
Brandy Y.
Best decision we made! Our dog was a little difficult to train. We got this collar and followed the training plan. Within five days we had a new dog. Not even kidding. Something with the training just clicked. Not only do we not have to worry about her outside she has a new respect for us. Thank you Spot On!

We have two Nova collars and are enjoying them. Positives definitely exceed negatives. Not sure what satellites the collars are tuned to for tracking but the experienced, “satellite drift” is some thing that can be improved upon. Due to the boundaries of our property, the invisible fence we have set for both pups, experiences drift with errant activation of corrections and is more than 30’ from the fence. We thought we could just leave the collars on until charging at night but have had to either take them off, or deactivate fence, when inside our home. Setting a separate exclusion zone is not an option knowing the errant drift potential. Collars have been an improvement for their freedom to run and enjoy the property and certainly appreciate that.

Spot on was the best purchase for my dog hands dawn,I contemplated to spend 1000$ or 500$ but the reviews left know doubt ,I dont like it works most of the time I like the 99.9 % of the time ,It literally took me 1hr to set fence and train dog ,I would recommend this to anyone who loves there dogs .... Great product
Mark V.
My best buddy has one, and I was really impressed. I was lucky enough to buy the house next door, so he expanded the range to include my property. Now I got a puppy, so I knew I had to have a Spot On collar, too. I set it up using his fence layout, and now the pups can run and play all day outside, visiting both properties. My pup learned the tones after about 10 minutes of training. I'm old, and I do have a little difficulty with the snap, but I'm telling you...THIS IS THE BEST INVESTMENT for my peace of mind and the safety of my dog! (If your dog likes car rides, be sure to take off the collar or deactivate it to prevent a shock. Ugh. Don't ask me how I know.)
Mark L.
Two dogs, a pit bull and a catahoula hound, both wearing the collars, were attacked by a mountain lion on our property. (Pictures are too gruesome to include here.) The dogs barely survived, but the collars may have saved their lives. One collar was bitten in two, and the other one punctured in two places, both at throat level. Had they dogs not had the collars on, the lion would have ripped out their throats. SpotOn replaced both collars without question. The collars work great, by the way, but this was an added benefit.

I recently had SpotOn Fence install a new fence around my property, and I couldn’t be happier. The team was professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. They explained all the options clearly and helped me choose the perfect style for my yard. The installation was smooth and efficient, and the quality of the fence itself is excellent. Highly recommend SpotOn Fence for anyone looking for reliable and high-quality fencing services!

When we first purchased a fence collar, we only had one GSD. He understood and respected the fence barrier almost immediately. The e-fence has given both my wife and me a great deal of stress-relief. Because we have a county, dirt road running directly through our property, many people walked by with their dogs and our large GSD thought it was his right to go join them for a walk. There would be many times he would just quietly disappear and we wouldn’t know who he was with or how far he had gone. Since having the collar, he hasn’t taken off with any neighbors or random people out for a walk.
We have been blessed with a new GSD puppy, Miss Felony. She is still learning the sensations of a regular e-collar, along with basic training habits. Once she is familiar with the warnings and sensations of the e-collar, we will be adding a spot-on, fence collar to her. She is already a very social puppy and loves to explore. We will use the collar to allow her to roam her natural territory without taking off to neighboring properties.
In our short experience, the spot-on, fence collar has allowed us to let our dog enjoy his land without us worrying about him taking off. The peace of mind is worth every penny.
Dennis K.
Our two year old rescue love to chase critters on our acre lot. I was skeptical on a new product but liked to one price model with optional subscriptions. Easy set up. Walked the yard perimeter with my phone. Done. Marked off sporadically with snow markers and yellow tape. Walked once with her with collar on beep only. Hasn’t been out of yard. Highly recommend.

Absolute game changer!! We have 10 acres with a cabin that is fenced for cattle but not dogs. We will be building this spring but we won't be putting in permanent fencing until we know exactly where the pastures etc will be divided. The SpotOn wireless fence comes in because of the 5 month old LGD that will guard the livestock-to-be. We have little to no cell service. We've spent the last month or so training him with the SpotOn collar, on and off, because we spend half our time right now in the city, and this trip he is fully on the collar outside roaming around! We had a neighbor visit yesterday at the property and when he walked home, the dog tried to follow but turned tail when we got to the perimeter! We are so proud of him and our success! My heart is full watching him run around and explore while respecting the boundary of an unfenced area. Thank you SpotOn
Jeremy H.
We order spot on when we got our new puppy. His name is Tank. He has lots of energy. We live on a 3.5 acre farm. Spot on worked perfect for us so we can keep track of him. We followed the instructions on how to train and now 2 months later he is out on his own. The main reason we wanted it was to keep him off the road.
Conway M.
Hans is an energetic 7 month old German Wirehair Pointer and he is really enjoying his new found “freedom” and so am I. Thanks to some great support from the SpotOn technical staff he adapted to the SootOn Fence and after about 7-10 days of training it has been working perfectly. Thank you for a great product and even better support!!
Jill S.
Game changer! Before SpotOn, I was walking my dog on our farm using a 30ft lead- what a disaster! Constantly tangled in the brush and trees and Bo is much faster than me so it was a constant tug of war. Enter the SpotOn collar. The main selling point for us was being able to have multiple fences, but only one activate one at a time. We have a large farm and are able to have multiple fences- activating and deactivating depending on what we’re going. We have had zero escapes and the tracking works perfectly- even in heavy wooded areas. Bo gets to do the running and sniffing he lives and I don’t worry about him going to areas he shouldn’t!!
Mike W.
Best purchase I've ever made for my dogs. I've had underground wire fences for years. They broke and were a frustration waiting to happen. This is the first wireless system that I found that I can rely on. Half of my property is wooded. The collar works without a problem in the woods. The adjustable boundary is perfect when we are on the go. I take the collar when we travel and give my dogs a safe place to run freely.
Marlee G.
Although SpotOn is a tab bit pricier upfront the cost is much cheaper overall compared to other GPS fencing.
This fence has been a game changer for our Airedale and family. She is much happier being ankle to runabout play and yes even chase squirrels!
She learned quickly and she know she can’t go out without her “necklace” (collar).
Thank you SpotOn for a fantastic product
Rob M.
Jake is a quick learner, and his SpotOn collar has given him free rein in our backyard, connected to 15 or 20 satellites. It's amazing to see him rocket out the back door to bark at deer in the adjoining hay field and put on the brakes just short of SpotOn's invisible boundary, barking the whole time. The SpotOn app's tracking features give us peace of mind, and hopefully, we'll never have to use it. All in all, it's an amazing piece of kit!
Mike
Dog 1: Ellie, 6 month old. No previous fence experience. We followed the training and within a week she had the run of 5 acres. At first we had a few, though very short, escapes.
Dog 2: Luna, 5 years old. Previously had an inexpensive radio fence. Based on our experience with Ellie, we decided to get a second collar for Luna. It was plug and play. Since she already understood the warning tone, there was almost no learning curve to the SpotOn collar. Luna has had 2 escapes, both less than a minute.
As an added bonus, the "Call dog" button provides superior recall, once we trained them. I can hit "Call dog" and they come running from whereever they are in the yard.
I do wish the collars were less bulky and had better battery life. The real-time tracking is not as frequent as I would like. Also, the cellular signal can be spotty where I am. Offering a choice of carriers would be appreciated (Verizon is better here than Sprint or AT&T).
Mark A.
I absolutely love the accuracy of this collar best I have ever bought!! All I wish is there was a persistent notification on breechs and not just 1 notification. I don’t always hear my phone but if the notifications were consistent until checked this item would be PERFECT!!!
Sam B.
Started training with Gunner after we adopted him only to find out he was already trained to a fence. That was easy for me.
Had an underground fence before the Spot On and I have to say this is a game changer. I love the ability to have multiple fences on our property so that I can control where he goes or let him roam the whole property. Can't do that with an in ground fence
Timothy H.
Customer service worse than chineese call center. They lie and make excuses. 100% dishonest.
When you order it will tell you the estimated arrival date. But a week after not receiving a tracking number. Their AI chat says it takes up to 3 days, I contacted customer service they said it takes 5-7 days before they ship, im on day 8

We have 2 setters, one an english and the other an irish red and white. Both have their own collars. Having a cabin in the woods of Montana as well a full time home in Illinois, we wanted something versatile to different locations, Spot On has worked incredibly for our needs. The other day, on Brody's (irws) collar, we found it not working. It just happened to be his 3 year gotcha bday, so I know this collar was exactly 3 years old. I called, we discussed, they had me take photos, now are shipping out a brand new collar for our irish boy. A great product and great customer service. We are very glad we went this route.

I’ve been searching for years to find a collar that actually works for my dog, and I finally found it. I couldn’t afford the full price on the SpotOn website, but I managed to get one through a third‑party seller. I’ve been using it for a little over two and a half months, and I waited this long to write a review because I wanted to make sure the collar was truly effective — not something that would break, glitch, or die after a few uses.
I’m happy to say it has held up perfectly. The collar is well‑built, durable, and the performance has been consistent from day one. I’m honestly blown away by the results.
My dog Luke is a boxer–pitbull mix and a rescue, and controlling him used to be a real challenge for my wife and me. Even opening the backyard gate was stressful because once he got out, he was gone. Walks, parks, visitors — everything required extra caution.
Now, with this collar, it’s a completely different story. The geofence boundary keeps him exactly where he’s supposed to be, and the sound and vibration alone are enough to keep him in check. Friends come over and can’t believe he’s the same dog they knew before. The product is 100% effective, and now I understand why it costs so much — it’s absolutely worth it.
When we go to the park and set up the boundary, he stays inside it and plays freely. Before this collar, we would never dream of letting him off his leash — if he saw another dog, he would go crazy, dragging us all over the place trying to get at the other dog. Now he stays calm and controlled.
The setup for both the app and the collar was an easy process. There are video tutorials, and customer service is available if you need help. Everything was straightforward.
My only request would be a customizable quick‑access button so I can instantly choose between sound, vibration, or static correction when he gets overly excited indoors. That would make calming him down even faster.
If you have a high‑energy dog like mine, this collar can truly change your daily life. It has given us peace of mind, control, and freedom we didn’t have before.

I can't say enough about how much I love SpotOn Collars! We got an Airedale puppy this summer, and although we live on 47 acres, our house is somewhat close to a road. It was extremely difficult to keep a very active airedale puppy from exploring out into the road.
Once he was 8 months old, we started training him with the SpotOn fence. To be honest, I wasn't sure how a terrier would respond to an invisible fence, but he has done splendidly! He has loved having the freedom to run (especially running up and down our hill while our family sleds!). I love that I can have several different fences, so he can be closer to the house on normal days, but have the whole property when we are going for hikes on the farm. I also love that SpotOn is from NH, so it has worked through the kinks of having wireless technology in wooded areas.
Arnie is such a happy puppy now, and we absolutely would recommend it to anyone interested in a wireless fence!
Mark G.
Oliver has adapted to his spot on collar very well and is living a life unleashed. We love it ,use the tracking feature every morning to watch him roam around the yard and we really feel like it’s been a value considering we have different places where we intend to use the collar we give it a five star rating and appreciate the quality of the collar itself.
Robert S.
After about a month the collar is working very well.
Ellen W.
Just getting started but excited to see them learning the boundaries and tones. We hit a super cold spell so it delayed out start of training. Working on the second level now and are looking forward to the option of allowing them to run our acre!
Chad L.
Great experience for the last 18 months that we've had Spot On. Software updates are always improving the system and it has kept our dog safe when he got out of the house twice, he came right back!
Sonny L.
Great product! Performs as described and above expectations. Our boxer was already trained to a training collar. So when we introduced the spot on collar, she was already responsive to the beeps and little to no training. She figured out her boundaries. The only thing that I would prefer is louder tones from the collar for the dog sake. Other than that, this is a five star product.
Phyllis
So gar this collar has lived up to it’s outstanding review
Cheryl J.
Love the Nova collar. I was concerned about the training but it was all explained in writing and videos . My dog who is almost 8 months learned the boundaries quickly! Speaking of boundaries love that you can walk the boundaries to set them up, then adjust in the app! Love the freedom it gives my dog and the peace of mind it gives me. ! I need to say that customer support is outstanding. They are patient, helpful and responsive! I am not disappointed!!!
Robert H.
I've had this product for two years. Its awesome. Although I paid $1500 it's now $999. It works as advertised.
The support was easy. They helped me set it up. Thank you spot on
Rachael E S.
Couldn’t live without my SpotOn collars! We have 4 English Springer Spaniels on 80 acres. The males love to roam through the mountains. I had another tracker on them before and they made it 22 miles in a day! That tracker constantly lost signal because of the poor cell phone signal. I only got one back because of the microchip.
The SpotOn collar was easy to teach. They were all already trained to the clicker/treats, so I would simply say ‘stay home’ and treat when they crossed the boundary. It only took a week and life was so much better! Way less stressful to know they can run in the pond and field and still be home.
Also, I’ve had a few issues with the collars. The customer service at SpotOn is first class and always helped to fix the issue. Definitely worth every penny and an amazing company!

I have an almost 3 year old Golden Pyrenees who I got when he was an untrained, crazy 8 month old teenager! In the past, I used a pet safe wireless fence for my full Pyr, which worked relatively well, but then again, she was on Phenobarbital for seizures! When I got this untrained puppy, I knew there was a lot of work to be done to train him, so for the 1st couple of months, it was all leash work... I came across Spot On via the internet, and was intrigued, but a little nervous about the investment, given that my puppy was 1/2 Pyr! We spent weeks working on the training and alerts on a lone line before even attempting going off line. I was blown away that I could build my own fences, and that I would get alerts if and when he escaped! Happily, the Golden in my boy wants to come back to me, and his escapes have been fewer and fewer! I was also a little nervous about this system working in Canada, where we have a home, but it has been flawless! My boy has the run of the property, even the beach, where he can roll in muck and jellyfish to his hearts content! When Spot On's new system (Nova) became known to me, I was again intrigued, for while my old collar worked as it should, I really liked the ability to record my own messages, and the smaller GPS drift. We are now a week in with the new collar, and just this morning, I recalled him (well within his fence range) with my own voice, from acres away by the tap of a button! I love this equipment, and the freedom that it gives both me and my boy! BUT, you must put in the training or it is just another thing that could cause more harm than good! Its all about the training!

We live on 50+ acres, very hilly, without fences. Walter is a LGD, who loves to protect us more than the chickens that free range at the barn. Some of the past LGD's I have gotten, wandered to far and I have always re-homed them to a place with a fence.
Since purchasing the SpotOn collar, Walter now stays with the chickens during the day and free ranges at night. I was concerned the training would be super difficult because of his years on the property without a fence. It took Walter 15 minutes, a few shocks and he's understood well, where he needs to stay when he's got the collar on. I have also learned how to share the collar app with my husband's phone, so now the app does not freeze up on me.
I was very skeptical that this collar would work for us. Considering the cost, I was very hesitate to give it a try. But so far it's far surpassed my expectations! I am wondering how the summer will go with the leafs on the trees, I expect it will be fine. When we get another LGD puppy, I think we'll need another collar to start with for training. The tracking is great, the option to have a subscription is a great selling point as well. For me, the collar is SpotOn, filling my fencing needs perfectly!
Michael W.
The SpotOn collar has been a game changer for our Jojo. We feel comfortable letting her out to wander within the large GeoFence we've set in our property. She has her favorite spots, and can move unhindered through several acres. The SpotOn collar also gives us confidence to allow Jojo to enjoy the outdoors. She loves to run and cover distance at high speed; the collar and GeoFence is no hindrance. But now, we don't worry about her leaving our property.
Jojo learned VERY quickly about the meaning of the tones on her collar, and has been respectful of the boundaries from day one.
All in all, we are fans!
Melinda C.
Great! I no longer worry about my dog getting onto the road or disturbing neighbors or their livestock. He has 20 acres to roam and I know where he is at all times. Training for the collar took minutes and he rarely even tests the perimeter. This collar gives me peace of mind when I’m gone that I was missing with his devices that only tracked and didn’t geo-fence
Mike I.
We’ve had SpotOn for a couple years and love that I don’t have to worry about where they’ve gone off to. Service is pretty prompt and any issues I’ve had were resolved promptly
J R.
The collar is amazing and is truly “spot on”. We live on a little over an acre and the collar works great. The fence was easy to setup. More easy to walk than adjust manually. Tested several times and collar is consistent with keeping dog in yard. No issue with signal. Trained dog for about a week and he caught on quickly. Have also taken it to other locations and setup the fence. It’s great and I trust the accuracy of the fence. I highly recommend this collar to keep your dog safe!
Jim W.
Easy to set up and my Mountain Cur puppy learned the fence layout in jut 2 days of training. She runs free on our acreage and is doing great!
Sharon P.
Honestly this collar was an absolute life saver for my family including our stubborn great dane and german shepherd. The GSD is pretty smart and caught on almost immediately but the Dane has had a much longer learning curve.
I do admit the setup and training was not easy for us and at one point it was clear the lower level shocks were not going to faze the dane. Even at highest stings 30 she can often break through the fence but we go back to training and she seems to obey again.
The tracking is priceless so i bought it for both dogs but the price is quite prohibitive so it would be nice to get as deal for two dogs. All in all It changed our lives from having to chain them up and the dogs roam free with pure joy and i have peace of mind.
Tom K.
We have two VERY active dogs who run, play and chase all day long. Spot on has truly given them that freedom while keeping them safe (and not on our neighbor's properties). We live in a very wooded area, and I can easily change fences to keep them in the yard or walk a much larger area of wooded trails. We also have fences set up for camp and even when we visit other family members. Spot on has been accurate, durable and truly given us what we hoped for. When I have had to use customer service it has been a 100% experience every time! This is truly a 5-Star product.
Toby H.
Collars are fantastic. My pups learned in one day. No joke. Super easy. Just the alert tones worked. Customer service is a 10!! I forgot to put my Veterans discount and they refunded me the money, gave me the discount and I got the subscription for 2 collars for free for a year. I highly recommend the subscription. You get tons of great features. Honestly, I had other collars but this is far and away the best even though it costs a little more.
John M.
I’m super excited about this collar it has given us freedom I’ve set up several fences in different places and my dog has learned to respect the boundaries I would highly recommend this collar definitely worth it!!
Thanks Spot on great job
Ryan M.
So close to being great. We live on acreage and wish the in-fence location updates were more frequent—I often have to turn tracking on just to locate my dog on the property, then shut it off again.
The “chime” feature you can trigger from your phone is also extremely quiet. I had to really listen to hear it, and I don’t think my ADHD lab would even notice it. We also get frequent “cannot communicate with the collar” messages, likely because we’re in a heavily wooded area, so that’s something for others to consider.
The app alert when your dog leaves the fence is also very quiet, and many times I don’t even hear it—even when my phone is with me.
That said, it’s invaluable once you know your dog is out of the boundary, because the tracking makes it much easier to find and retrieve them (especially at night when you can’t see them).
So close to 5/5 stars.
Bob W.
This is a game changing product. We have a large lot in a neighborhood with lots of dogs being walked by. Dogs want to run and run fast. This offers her opportunity to run and sniff around and she never gets close to the perimeter. She can run out of the door and enjoy just being out or taking care of business. We also subscribe to the tracking so we always know she's ok and where she is if we can't see her. We have a fence and I'm taking it down in the spring.
Clyde C.
Great for traveling, great for home. Pepper gets to roam around and burn off some of her boundless energy. She has about 4 acres she can travel. Her Aussie energy has an outlet now.
Christopher H.
There is a learning curve to using the collars. It is important to view the videos and provide the stimuli for training your pups. I almost sent the collars back for a refund. However, with continued use and exposure to triggers, they both are responding well. It is a work in progress. We are 90 percent there after three months. I recommend the product.
Marla W.
I knew nothing about collars and GPS. I didn't even own a cell phone!! When my neighbors complained about my dogs going into the back part of their acreage, I investigated all the different options, talked to friends and l used their collars but I found spot on to be the easiest to use, the company to be the most reliable and honest and Spot On best value for the dollars I was spending. I got spot on and within a week my dogs had learned how to use the GPS fence and I had learned how to use the corrections. I stopped getting complaints from my neighbors and being shamed on Facebook. My brother-in-law was so impressed he bought one for his daughter's dog so when he came down to visit he could run with mine. And now we can both watch all the dogs ..just wonderful. I've had spot on for several years and I've had to send it back for repair twice in 5 years of daily use. Once it was 100% under warranty and the second time it was a minimal charge for new GPS part, and they updated the old parts on the old collar . Yippee!! I cannot say enough good things about ithe company...in New Hampshire!!!! I refer every person I meet who asks about the collar to spot on. Please keep up the good work and keep up the improvements. I love your product it has made my life so much better. My dogs run free all day long and don't get in trouble.
Patty C.
I purchased this collar for my Labrador/Australlian Shepherd mix puppy. She’s very high energy. I couldn’t be happier with it. She learned her boundaries in a matter of days. I had walked her on leash for a little over 2 months before I decided to invest in this. I had one incident of going past her boundary. A squirrel caught her attention. First and last time. She stopped immediately when I told her no. I would highly recommend this product so glad I purchased it. It gives her the freedom and me piece of mind.

Works great and as described!

Stella, our strong-willed, spirited, adventurous Vizsla, got a SpotOn Collar for Christmas, at 7 MO’s she was ready so we began training right away, 3 sessions a day for 4 days with tone and vibration only, at each tone we called “back” and rewarded her. By day two we didn’t need to say “back” she just knew what the tone meant, we continued the training of 3 sessions a day (about 10-20 min each time). On training day 5 we added a distraction and the “tone” alone did not keep her from breaking the fence. We added static at 7 (after testing on ourselves first, did not hurt and we felt it was appropriate) she broke with distraction. We upped it to 8, she broke once more. We are now 3 weeks in. She has not broken since! We have also created a fence for our hunting land which is heavily wooded, it worked great and the GPS also showed us where she was at all times. We have since began training the “whistle” feature on the collar for recall, which is a great extra feature! I spent many, many, many hours researching the top collars, and am SO happy I made the investment in the one I determined (from research) as the best! We wanted safety, security, and a piece of mind knowing whether she is in the yard or hunting she is safe!! My only disappointment is that I didn’t wait a months because SpotOn just released a new version, had I known I may have waited, as I do like the new style and it has a bit of technology/tracking upgrade; BUT nonetheless I am 100% beyond satisfied with our collar, thank you SpotOn!!

The collar is stiff making it a bit difficult to put on. I love the ease of set up.

Each collar costs $1,000—and that’s before adding the optional cellular tracking subscription. My Windows laptop didn’t cost $1,000, and my iPhone was only slightly more, yet it could probably guide a lunar capsule through space. In my opinion, the price is unreasonably high.
Battery life is just one day, which is also ridiculous given the cost. The optional cellular subscription unlocks additional features such as recalling your dog with a personalized whistle or a recorded two-second tone, as well as sending vibration and shock commands. However, the GPS accuracy is underwhelming. Location updates are slow and don’t reliably show the dog’s position unless you enable the “tracking” feature—again, only available with the cellular plan.
Build quality seems adequate, but the collar is heavy considering its limited battery life and mediocre GPS performance. The collars do function without a cellular subscription and will beep or issue a correction when the dog exceeds the GPS fence boundary.
To their credit, the collars do train intelligent dogs quickly. I noticed this with my two Doberman puppies, who now reliably stay within the set boundaries.
One important note: each collar requires its own cellular plan. With two Doberman puppies and one month of optional cellular tracking, my total investment came to $2,020. Was it worth it? Probably… maybe… I’m not sure. The price really stung relative to the performance. At this cost, I expected exceptional battery life and a full suite of features without additional subscription fees.
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

Miss Birdi May has been given so much freedom to be a pup! It has been so easy to use. The ability to use multi fences keeps her safe at home, at the farm, and on hikes! Also, it has given me a lot of peace of mind knowing she is contained to areas I can observe and ensure her safety. The customer support is top notch and responsive to any issue i.e. training, general wellness. My old inground fence was so limited and if my dog escaped would be scared to return. I've recommended Spoton to everyone.

Our new sochi rescue dog from Ukraine, while being a wonderful lovable addition to our family, has a "thing" for rabbits and squirrels. This would lead her to leave the property. The spot on GPS fence has made a true difference. Even if she breaks the barrier, she returns almost immediately. We've only had spot on for a short time and we see steady improvement. Customer service is exceptional. Thank you all

EASY TO SET UP
WILL BE USING IT MORE IN THE SPRING WHEN WEATHER GETS WARMER DUE TO ALL DAY WORK SCHEDULE AND DAYLIGHT IS ALMOST OVER NOW
BUT BY SETTING UP ON PHONE WAS SO EASY IT IS GOING TO BE PERFECT

Spot on is working great at our new home with our German shorthair and rescue dog. They tested it in the beginning but learned their boundaries quickly and are enjoying their new found freedom too!

We bought an Anatolian dog who happened to avoid all human contact. We had also purchased two of her pups who were two months at the time. We had converted a former out building to house her and the pups until we could win her affection but she turned out to be an escape artist. She once took the pups for a run and we finally found them miles from home. We had pictures proving they were ours but the neighbor posted them on Facebook and she had people from everywhere even out of state wanting to claim them. Our closest neighbor had bird dogs and used SpotOn collars to track his dogs on hunting trips. We knew we had to do something to keep her home even thought we had woven wire fencing for the sheep. We purchased two collars for the pups and momma dog stays home with her girls now. It’s a great feeling to know I can track them anytime of the day or night and the girls don’t object to wearing the collars. They just turned one year old and weigh 100lbs. Because of their size neighbors are a little intimidated by them and therefore it’s even more important that they stay in their pasture.
My nephew recently purchased collars for his service dogs and loves the freedom it gives him to be able to travel with his dogs.

I live alone and my puppy is so important to me. The winters in Michigan can be cold and not I don’t have to go outside every time my boy wants to play in the snow. I have not figured out everything but my son has the same collar so he is a big help.

Best purchase iv made! Was wanting something for my husky to be able to go outside by himself unsupervised. Because if you every owned a Husky they are great escape artists. This colar is on the high side buts its a fraction of the cost of a fence which I did not have the money for a fence or did I really want one because it would get in the way of some things. I looked at many other collars but I kept coming back to this one from three reviews I read on this collar. 3-4 months in and I can say im 100% glad I purchased this collar! Well worth it, my dog can now be left alone for hours while I'm at work or gonna be gone for 12+ hours in the day.

SpotOn has been amazing for our family. We live on a very large piece of property. Before SpotOn our dogs would wander off and bother the neighbors. They were even once posted on Facebook as a nuisance. Very embarrassing. We were looking for a solution. We were apprehensive at first of SpotOn because we were concerned if our dogs could be trained to not cross the fence. After a week they understood the beeping signals from the collars and we never had a problem since. We also visit family frequently who live on a busy street. Our dogs instantly understood the new fence boundaries. This is a fantastic product. We have had a few minor issues with the collars durability and costumer service has been fantastic about replacing parts. Thank you SpotOn!

I have been a little inconsistent with the training but I do have on comment. When I am walking my dog to let her hear the boundaries, I have to keep my phone from going dormant so I can hear the tones. Yesterday I was walking her down the driveway to show her the boundary. As I got to where I should hear the tones, I saw my phone was dormant and as I activated it again, she was past the warning tones and got shocked. It happened one other time on that session I don’t know if there is a way to turn the volume up on the collar so I don’t have to carry the phone

We got Gabe as a 3 year old just before thanksgiving last year. We had Invisible Fence installed for our last dog. Unfortunately, he died a couple of years ago. So when we got Gabe I intended to use that again. But the fence was broken for at least the second time and with the cost of fixing it at around $300, I decided to investigate GPS fences. I looked at cheaper versions but always came back to Spoton due to all the reviews both on websites and YouTube. I'm really glad I did. I was able to give Gabe a much bigger area to roam and he has learned the limits very quickly. The team at Spoton has been very helpful the couple of times I've called and resolved my issues quickly. So in closing this collar is expensive, but it works and the support is great. I've had friends with cheaper collars that didn't work all the time and because of that I was reluctant to buy a GPS collar, but with my experience so far, I'd recommend this to anyone that wants to be able to let their dog out and not have to go with him every time and not to have to worry about where he might be wondering off to.

Spoton gave our mini husky the freedom and safety he deserved! This collar is the best product and I’ve recommended it to all of our friends with dogs. The accuracy and easy to use app make this a superior product. Plus not having to pay a monthly fee makes choosing this brand a no brainer! Not to mention their customer service has been among the best I’ve ever experienced!!!

We’re generally happy with our SpotOn collar. But if you have a large dog with thick fur like ours, suggest you contact SpotOn and ask if/when they will be offering a third, larger-sizes electrodes for the collar. Our big boy is well-trained with the beeping sounds but he doesn’t feel the electric impulse when another critter temps him over his boundary. SpotOn has told me that long prongs may become available in 2026.

Our experience with SpotOn began at the ending of an almost disastrous outcome for our two dogs, Scout - age 7, and P.J., only six months old. Both are very well trained and never left our large 5-acre yard, but on one very hot summer afternoon they were both taken by car just out of eyesight. Once gone, the search for nearly one month began with over 10,000 people looking for our beloved family members. We live in a thick forest, atop a remote mountain and finding the dogs proved almost impossible, but we never stopped looking.....they were inseparable and that is what kept them alive; somehow they both got away and within only a day of death, the little Corgi made it to a house and the owner called us; we picked him up and knew that Scout had to be close by - but both were 17 miles away in another county. Diligent searching sure enough led to finding Scout within another day and both are reunited. NEVER will we risk losing them again; within the same day I called SpotOn and talked to a compassionate and helpful representative and after looking at all the other options, we selected two of the SpotOn collars and have never regretted that decision. Have there been issues? YES, we have connectivity issues and sometimes a false impulse may be sent out, but after 18 months the collars - and the excellent service - are getting better and better. They are large and bulky for a small dog, but somehow, neither of them will even leave the house without their collars on. This collar and its innovative App give us security and long life for our wonderful 'twins.'

We live in the country, lots of hunting property around us. Our very active dog loves to run as fast as he can. Neighbors don’t appreciate him running through their woods and I can’t say I blame them. This collar has been a life saver! He learned very quickly where the boundaries are, stopped chasing cars and his kennel time had been reduced dramatically..only in there at night now. We have about 7 acres fenced for him, haven’t activated any tracking or other features as we haven’t needed them. Collar charges very quickly, lasts about 2 days, but we take it off at night anyway. We are looking to purchase another collar for our stubborn Great Pyrenees. Thank you for a great product!

Jake loves the outdoors! The collar has given him room to roam. The collar has truly made a difference and works well. If he does leave the area he comes back in immediately. This has decreased, mostly has his nose to the ground and doesn’t pay attention. It truly made a difference in our lives! When I did have questions they were answered immediately. Thank you all so much and Happy New Year!

These collars have been a life changer as with our 5 acre property and our two dogs silver lab and mountain Bernese liked to roam and happened to find a few of the neighbours chickens. We couldn’t see having our dogs in a fenced kennel while owning property so we decided to try Spot on. One afternoon of training the dogs had it figured out. Dogs do not ever leave their boundary zone and now collars on or not they have learned where to stay. After 9 months my mountain Bernese managed to scratch at his collar enough the power button started to tear. I contacted Spot On and they sent me a replacement right away few questions ask only a couple
Pictures of the damage. Collar showed up quickly and when I went to add collar they had pre programmed it to take over place of the old collar making all my settings and the dog fence swap extremely fast and no hassle. I give these collars and customer service 6 stars

I am not very tech savvy and it was extremely easy to get set-up and be using in just a couple of hours.
The installation of the fences are painless as well. The training of Aggie and myself took the most time.
We are getting to a very comfortable place in a couple of weeks.
Highly recommend trying SpotOn.

It was very hard for me to decide to spend this much money, however my daughter got “herself” a dog which I always seen to end up caring for. He’s a very stubborn blue heeler mix. If I let him out, I had to be out there the whole time or he’d take off. We have a small woody area behind our home he likes to explore, as well as, some fenced friends he plays with thru their fence. However they are two houses down & eventually he would slip around to the front of the fence when I wasn’t paying full attention & then proceed to roam the neighborhood from there.
With this collar, I included part of the woods & his fenced friends. Now I can finally let this dog out without having to go hunt him down or worrying about him getting into something. Worth the cost! I call it “his ears.”

My brother bought this here at Christmas 2025... For his dog... he is impressed with this so far... and so am I... we are very impressed on the GPS features ahown. This is a better feature for us for our dog and our farm. It has different level training features many other companies do NOT have. I have noticed this dog is a herding breed and watches motion all the time. He has it on the lowest setting for her and this dog once it reaches what I call the border area.... she does a 180 degree shift without any sudden reactions from the dog or pain mentally or physically. At this point.. it works on training her on boundaries and safety we need. Thank you and will update on product needed.

So far so good! I have 2 Aussies on 4 acres. They are free to roam and it was so worth the money for these collars. So far no issues except jazzy chewed on gingers collar buckle and I’ve already received a new one.

Our mountain curr is a working breed that needs room to run. No need for a kennel when wearing his Spot On collar. He has the freedom to roam his designated area and I can leave him unattended. Best investment for his well being!

I have 2 Spot On collars that I have used for my Great Pyrenees dogs on the farm. The dogs trained to them very easily. We have had them for several years and it allows the dogs free roaming to the entire farm through the day.
My only wish is that the collars had a longer battery life as they need to be charged daily. It would be useful if they could go several days on a single charge.
It is nice to be able to see where the dogs are at any time since they have such a large area that they are able to patrol.

We have had the collar for a couple months and loving it so far. We’ve got a few different places we take our dog that require parameters and the collar makes things quick and easy. Only issue I’ve had which was user error on my part, but I often use a VPN on my phone which initially caused connection issues, mainly turning tracking on/off. Again this was my error and connection issues within the VPN not the collar! Once I fixed this it never fails to connect even in wooded areas. Great collar and worth the purchase!!

We absolutely love our SpotOn .i feel very comfortable leaving her in the yard while I run errands.i never worry about her leaving our yard. I highly recommend this product. It truly takes out all the worry

I have 2-10-month-old Pyrenees mix, livestock guardian Dogs. It took me two Sessions to train them. I can’t believe how intelligent these dogs are for this is the first time I’ve had these kinds of dogs on my ranch. They will not go outside of that boundary, and I only use the vocal part of the collar. I am very impressed.

This is our 3rd set of GPS collars and my boys are only a year old. I've been hesitant to review because of this but after 2 months with SpotOn I can honestly say these are a game changer. We started with Pawtronic when the boys were big enough to start training. They learned fast and they worked well for several months but with their young, active wresting, they broke the buttons on the collars, escaped chasing a deer and got stolen while they were out. By the grace of God I got them back and immediately upgraded to Petsafe Guardian which worked well for 2 weeks until we had a bad overcast weekend and it lost service. The boys chased another deer and got lost for 30 hours. After another miracle reunion, I went straight for the big guns and odered these. Although a bit pricey they are well worth it! The boys still chase deer but I love the phone app alerts me so I can start tracking immediately. The tracking app is worth the extra subscription but I love that the collars work even without a subscription and all the setting are done by phone so no buttons to break.
I am not a fan of shock correction but my stubborn kids have no option at this point. I love that the collar beeps, vibrates and then shocks if they proceed. They are finally learning to fear the shock so we've had less escape attempts in the past few weeks.
So far I am very pleased with SpotOn and customer service was a huge help when I first received them. I had an issue with a stripped prong and they replaced the collar immediately.
If you want peace of mind for your beloved fur kids, I would highly recommend.

My son's family live on a 7-acre property. Unfortunately, it is bordered on 1 side by a very busy road. When they got the grandkids a puppy I recalled seeing my dog hit by a car and killed when I was a child. I did not want to see any child go through that. After researching the options, I purchased a Spot On collar for Lucy. She learned quickly and does not cross the boundary on the road side, or any side, of the property. When the collar was right at 2 years old it quit working and Spot On quickly sent a replacement collar free of charge. It's not cheap but it's worth every penny for both the initial purchase and the monthly charges!

We had an in ground wire system with our 2 previous dogs, but is 20 yrs old and had wire breaks. Love the ability to see where Dallas is at any time in his 7 acre fence. The tracking is definitely worth it. The whistle that brings him to the house is great! Mostly, we like that it works in our woods, as well as the open field. The vibration option works very well with Dallas; love that we don’t need to use the static stimulation.
The only issue we have is when both my husband and I leave the fenced area together. Since we trained him to “ come back” toward us, it may be causing him some confusion as he comes toward us when we cross his boundary. We are working on this, but otherwise all good. We have a lot of wildlife here for him to chase, but he always stops at the boundaries. The use of flags helped a great deal in the training. Well worth the investment.
