The spot on collar works great for our Maggie. She is a mini goldendoodle so the collar is a bit bulky, but she doesn’t seem to mind. The tracking is pretty accurate and allows me to see exactly where she is if she’s out of site. It does have the option for vibrate or static correction with adjustable intensity. She picked up on the leash training quickly, but as soon as she wasn’t on leash she would break through the barrier(I started with the vibrate mode) It took a few tries to get adjustments right and I did have to switch the mode to the static correction, but now she stays within the boundaries no problem. When we take the collar off for ATV rides, the quick connect buckle makes it easy to put back on when we get back home. You definitely don’t have to remove the collar, but sometimes I find it just as easy to do this than to deactivate the fence coming and going. This collar/fence definitely gives our family peace of mind to keep her safe.

I have a 10 year old Australian Shepherd, and a 1 1/2 year old Aussie/lab mix. The Aussie was in the habit of visiting our neighbors who like to pet and feed her. She lovingly taught my new dog to join her in her visits. I do not like my dogs to bother the neighbors and my young do decide she could visit further than she should. I needed something that allowed them to run our 27 acres but not allowing them to travel to our neighbors. Thank goodness I found the spot on collar. It took about 2 weeks to break her habit. They both are doing great! I am so happy I purchased these collars.

The most incredible customer service you will find Period. Had an issue with missing a charger. Jeff, who I worked with was just the best. You will not find a better technology or company to back up their technology than Spot On. These people truly care about being the best! Thank you so much Jeff!

The Spot On collar has been awesome for our 11 month old English Cream Golden Retriever! We live on 13 acres and we give him about 4 acres to explore. It’s been wonderful for us. We had one issue with a charging port and their customer service team jumped on it and sent us out a new one as soon as I contacted them. I can’t recommend them enough!

Able to let my dogs consume all of the land we have and not just with line of sight. Great product and is worth the investment.

What a life saver, for me and for my dog. Works flawlessly every single day.

Purchased the Spot On collar last October and are absolutely delighted. Easy to set up, mark the fence boundary lines and train our dog. The collar tracks and locates as promised. This was the security and peace of mind we needed.
Added bonus that Spot On is located in the U.S.A. and has a great customer service department.
Wish they had a larger line of products.

This purchase of a spot on collar is by far the best money spent on my pups. Everything from fence line to tracking is accurate. Whenever I had a question or concern the staff is always amazing, friendly and easy to get a hold of. It will give you a peace of mind so you don’t and won’t ever worry about losing your dog. Highly recommend.

So far so good. Took about a week of training for Luna to understand the tones. We’re currently using vibration correction and it appears to be working. I tried the static correction on myself and it seemed a little much compared to other e collar training collars. The only improvement I would suggest is if the walk the perimeter function would initiate the tones instead of the boundary correction.

2 large 120lb+ guardian dogs. They took to understanding the parameter quickly. The collars work and the concept of being able to flexibily update the fence parameter is great. These collars are a great solution to large properties where physical fences are not setup or not practical.
A couple items that could use improvement :
1.) The material the collar is made out of could be a little bit more 'stout'. One buckle on one collar has already unbuckled a couple times, luckily we were able to find the collar around the property. Feels like the 'rubber' or buckles are a little underbuilt for our dogs. They are very active, wrestling, and sparring with each other. Feels like at some point due to wear the buckle and or the collar strapping itself will break.
2.) The charge is per other reviews only good for a day.
3.) Not sure but sometimes it seems like the collars are synched and active right off the charger in the morning and sometimes you need to connect to them from the app. There were a couple days prior to getting into the habit of connecting in the am where we let the dogs out and the collars actually were not on.
I would absolutely recommend the collars and solution up to this point. I also very explicilty like that this is NOT a recurring monthly subscription.

I purchased SpotOn collars last July, just prior to moving abroad. These collars have worked wonderfully and just as important, if I have questions, concerns, or issues the customer service is second to none. There entire team is patient and diligent until the issue is resolved. Thank you !!!!!

I love what Spot on does. But, I wish there was a small indicator light that lets you know if the collar is on or off. It is mostly guesswork when I want to turn it on and off.

We have finally figured things out. I wish the collar were smaller but other than a few glitches that your customer service has helped with, it is working well.

This is my second review because after writing the other review, I thought about it and didn't provide some more perks about this device. I'll just list them and you decide if it's worth it. 1) I keep colar on charger when not using, it's always at 100% when I put it on my pup to go outside on his own. 2) I keep my phone with me and know where my pup is at all times on my 2 acre lot. I'm alerted when he gets too close or crosses the border but quickly returns. Not often does he's cross the corrective border. He usually recalls at warning tones. 3) no more cold freezing days or nights 4) I can pre draw fences anywhere there are satellite coverage. If I know the address, I can make a fence! 20 fences loaded on my ap. 5) I purchased the small size replacement colar straps to cover all neck sizes for any dog. 6) I can change my fence anytime and as long as my dog can hear the tone, he returns to safe zone. All dogs are smart, you just gotta be as smart as they are! Train them, it doesn't take long at all. 7) I seldom brag on any products I buy, this much. I'm not getting a thing for writing this review, I'm getting satisfaction for helping others make the right decision. 8) I'm on ss retirement income, I bit the bullet and paid by credit card. The long term repayment is worth the agony I'm not having without the colar. Take the plung, and you will be pleased with the results, but remember, the colar is only as good as the operator. As in any product! Take the time and read every word of training and operating instruction before you buy it and as you operate it after purchase. 9) it's unbreakable, weather proof and everlasting. I have 3 yr old aussie that plays and spars with the pup all the time outside so you can imagine the abuse this colar takes. Still not a scratch or defect on it. I've had it a month. 10) I mentioned your dog is smart, each time I put the colar on before he goes outside, he knows he has to listen for alerts and warning tones, not to get to close to corrective border. He has 2 warning tones prior to the corrective border line to return to safety zone. They're smart, they know! 11) the big question, will my dog go out of boundaries to take walks outside of yard? Yes! My pup has learned that when he is on the leash, he is safe with me anywhere. At first he held back but you have to earn your dog's trust. Maybe a little tug or a treat to encourage him. Cheese always works! In conclusion, I have read every review of every other closely comparable colar competitor. Oh! That would only be 1 colar...the Halo. I don't own one so I can't say much other than the reviews were not good. There is a YouTube review for comparison between halo and spot on. Check it out before making a decision. Halo doesn't offer 100% satisfaction guarantee. That's a red flag in itself. I can't say enough about this colar. I wish you all the best in your decision.

If you are having problems with this colar, you either have not followed instructions for training or you may possibly have a fluke faulty collar. This colar was the easiest to operate, most accurate gps and by far most phenomenal technology. Even for Android! The customer service is spot on every time I had a question. Yes, it was expensive but worth every penny to secure my loved pet. Gus, my big German Shepard! We trained him at 5 months old and he acclimated very well to the training as described. The options to control sound, vibration and corrective static is a nice feature. I advise subscribing to the two year tracking plan to ensure you will never lose your precious loved one. I was able to build a fence around my mother's property before arriving. She lives an hour away. Is that awesome or what? If I could be of service and advise any customer that is having doubts of purchase, please ask spot on fence staff to release my text number with my approval for a reference. The key to relief for you and your pup is to follow instructions!!! My pup is squeamish and dramatic, he acclimated quickly with spot on fence collar. I wish I had this for all my pets. Oh, it's not for small lots so forget it if you have a small yard. The 3 borders alerts require at least 15'. I have 2 acres and no fence. If I was on the board of engineering, the only other option I would add for customers, is to give us the option to control tone volume and vibration level. Not to say this colar is adequate but it is a nice option to have since all dogs do differ to sensativity. The static correction works very well for big stubborn dogs. I advise following instructions. It can bite if not adjusted properly. Fortunate for my pup, i was the one who felt the jolt. I happened to activate the fence when outside the border and holding the colar static points in the palm of my hand. It was set at level 13...Ouch! I read some of the negative reviews and I gotta tell ya, this collar doesn't make mistakes, ppl do! Yes, manufacturing processes can make mistakes but considering the quality of this colar, it's very unlikely that you will recieve a bad colar. Where ever this colar was invented or manufactured, I say....well done! If I ever get too old to care for my pets, I will resell this colar for the same price I paid. It's worth it!
Sincerely with 100% honesty,

Getting the SpotOn collar has been life changing! My German Shepherd/black lab pup wanted to be outside ALL. THE. TIME. Which, of course, was not possible so she became a challenge in the house. And if I let her free range, she began going on the dirt road and chasing cars. Within a few days of getting the collar and training, she had it figured out. We have 15 acres and now she spends as much time as she wants outside, exploring, running and sniffing. She's a much happier dog and I have so much more freedom. And the keep out zones are awesome! She started going in the cow barn/pasture eating corn and getting sick so I made a keep out zone and problem solved. Best money I have ever spent.

Waiting for my collar adjustment kit so I can make it smaller. Hard to train him with it as big as it is but we did a little bit yesterday and I think he’s getting it specially for a not quite nine month old Labradoodle. Thanks guys, Dave Cleary.
Betsy
I love how the collar works! Anytime she gets close to the boundary I get a message. We have 18 acres and I can track her and know where she is but give her the freedom to go where she wants.
Timothy T.
Everything is Great, he loves being free!!!!
Hayley
So far so good. The only thing I don’t like is knowing if the collar is on or off. I’m sure it’s the operator. Customer support has been spot on! Pun intended.
Mike E.
GPS is spotty and sometimes shocks the dog when they’re too close to the house. Closest fence is 40 feet away.
Doribel F.
I could not recommend this collar enough! It’s not only America made, but the efficiency and the awesome customer service go above and beyond! I have had it for almost a year, initially I got it for my border collie; it took me 3 days to teach him to use it, and so far has work wonders, and the couple times I’ve had a problem with it the customer service has been excellent (I would rate their customer service ten starts instead of five)!! being at work or away from home and having that peace of mind he is where he is supposed to be is priceless!! Now, I got a Great Pyrenees mix and I started training her and getting use to the collar so, when I get her her own collar she’ll be already used to it. If you are hesitant about the splurge and the efficiency of this collar I’ll tell you DON’T be, it is totally wort it!
Jennifer E.
The collar is bulky, but seems to be well made. Training was simple and my Vizsla seems to respect the boundary.(so far) I received a phone training session after a few escapes. The session included some excellent ideas for training which I wish I had before trying it on my own. If you are just starting out make sure you have safe zones and take the collar off indoors. We had one accidental incident indoors that was traumatic even thought static was only set at +1. Also a session with a trainer is recommended.

So far so good. Excellent customer service!

Benny over compensated. He does not use the full space he is allowed but sticks close to the house. He is slowly expanding his area.
Jessica G.
I love the functionality of the collar. However, its durability leaves a lot to be desired. The clasp broke within three days of my dog wearing the collar. And the silicone material that the collar is made out of is damaged easily by my dogs claws when she is scratching. Which worries me for the longevity of the collar itself. Would love to see it be more durable for the price paid
Jillian S.
I have 3 acres of field, forest & creeks. Nakoma loves the water. With this product she can run & swim her little heart out all day. We love this happy pup
Lynn R.
We have been using it for a week now and I have to say my runner is doing great and has learned the sound pretty quick I was not sure I was going to be able to train her as she is stubborn but with a few days of walking with the leash and trainer her now she knows her boundaries and I did call a few times the first few days with questions and they were awesome GREAT PRODUCT
THANK YOU SPOT ON!
Jeremy M.
Peace of mind while the dogs play on the farm. Easy to track them and confident they will not leave the defined area. The charging ports work great and the collars are extremely durable and easy to clip on and off. Perfect solution.
Karen P.
Really like the collar with exception of the power button. Extremely difficult to tell if it is turned on or not. An added feature of showing how many miles my dog puts on in a day would be great. His hunting. Collar does this and one feature we miss.
Elias N.
So far the collar seems to be working pretty close to perfectly. There is a few times that the collar does not go off and she sneaks through the boundary, but other than that she stay mostly in the yard. Surprisingly she took to this in less than 3 days only training for 10 to 15 minutes a couple times a day.
Theresa S.
I would give a 5 but when you have a collar that won't stay charged for 20 hours and you have to buy a second collar (now about $2000.00 investment), and remember ever day to swap it out, it becomes a real hassle for me.
Shad P.
We have a 1 year old golden retriever who is a little wild at this age and had trouble with him running away. We researched the SpotOn collar and decided to give it a try. We were able to set it up and create a fence with great ease. After creating the fence we put the collar on Fletcher and took him around the yard to help him get acquainted with the boundaries. He immediately responded to the collar and quickly learned the fence boundaries. Since then we have had no problems with him running off. This has been a game changer in our house and was a great investment. I highly recommend the SpotOn collar. Great product!!!
Laura R.
The app is the most useful part. When my dogs escape, which they do quite often, I'm able to find them. I do wish there was an alert for when the dogs are getting a tone or vibration, similar to when they leave the fence. Then maybe I can catch them before they leave.
I'm waiting to hear back from the trainer for our 30 min consultation.
Odessa S.
Britt is doing great with the collar. She can run around our 2 acre yard unleashed. It's a great solution without having to fence the yard or bury lines.
Rory A.
So far things are going pretty good. Very pleased
Theresia R.
We have tried other products and our dogs would always get out of the yard. This product is amazing!!!! We can now leave them out to play and not worry about them running off.
Rebecca A.
We had the first gen collar and this one is such an upgrade. It works well. My only piece of feed back is that occassionally it gets stuck and wont start charging or turn on. You have to shake it, return it to the cradle and try agin. Most times that doesnt work so you need to go into the app and try to connect the collar to the app, then return it to the cradle and hold the button. I do miss the ability to use on the go with the circle feature. Maybe you can still do this?
Patricia B.
An absolutely positive experience. Customer service is amazing and this product has allowed my dog a freedom that simply could not have been achieved with the layout of our property.
James D.
After reading the reviews and a personal testimony from my neighbor, I purchased one of your collars. It is the best thing that I could have purchased for my dog. It is so easy to set up and operate! I am only less than a week in with it and I have full confidence on where my dog is. The only thing that I wished it would have is a power on light. That would make it so much easier to know if it is on or off. Would I buy another one? Absolutely!
Brittany B.
We have a long haired dog and with the shock on the highest setting the dog acts as if it doesn't hardly feel it. I also wish I could manually shock the dog when I see it is staying outside the fence.
Jeanna S.
Very easy to set up. The videos were helpful. Only issue, we seem to have a blind spot in her fence....trying to figure out how to solve this issue.

We have a 65 acre property and 2 German shorthair points that we love very much. In our area GSPs are a highly valued breed for their bird hunting skills so they are often “picked up” if they are found wandering. Over the past two years, we have had a couple of scares when Cash (the brown one) got lost overnight in a going cow pasture. Basically, he was able to cross the electric fence in a stream but was getting shocked when he tried to cross back to get back home. We tried another couple of tracking options but limited WiFi in the area rendered them ineffective. This lead to us only letting them out when we could be with them. GSPs are high energy dogs that need, at least, 2 or 3 miles of exercise everyday day to keep them happy and to stave away the “zoom-zooms”. I work from home most of the time so a 15 min ride in the 4-wheeler is no problem. However, when I traveled or when it rained, it was difficult to maintain a normal schedule which lead to highly active dogs in the house. With Spot On collars, all of those concerns are a thing of the past. We let Waylon and Cash out when the need to go out, the do their business along with some running and playing and the are back in the porch in less than 30 mins. I have the fence set up around the whole property so they can go down the the stream or pond when they want and, if they are gone too long, spot on tells me exactly where they are, so I’d don’t have to traverse the whole farm calling for them. Spot on also tells me if the cross the fence which they have only done once or twice when I was training them. In short, Spot On is a little more expensive than the other options but it does exactly what they say it does and it works without fail. Very happy with this product and my dogs (and family) are happy with the results too.

I was skeptical at 1st, we have 5 acres and wanted to give pups full access, keeping from neighbors and street. I mean how do you train for that. I put up my own white flags which in hindsight didn’t need. We have one 9 year old yellow lab, one 1 year old lab. I started with one collar to see. Worked really well but, he would go through to follow the other. So bought a second. It’s been about 5 weeks and best purchase ever. In the beginning, it was stressful setting up the fence, for both. Trying to train, figuring the system out but after the first 10 days or so, all smooth. Do they escape? the younger one on an occasion will because he sees his friends next door, but that happens less and less. Long story short I wished I had done this years ago, but I’m sure the technology was not there then. I can let the dogs out and not worry about them getting hurt or running into the road. So I highly recommend!!
If I could make one recommendation, the collars are plastic, they are starting to get stinky. My concern will be after 6-8 months when the collar wears out, the collar is basically one piece, with an option to change a few pieces out. I would love to see a new design where collar piece could be changed to a canvas or washable material
Otherwise very pleased. I did not get the app - not seeing the need, but that’s just me.
Carlos R.
You still need a longer lasting battery. I change lead dog twice a day
Shannon R.
I love the concept of this collar…not having a “home unit” and being able to create your own fence line.
Downfalls: The collar is HUGE and resembles an ankle monitor . We have a “Tractive Brand” device that we actually use with our disabled son who likes to hike our property, so that we can track him. It’s MUCH smaller…granted it does not have static correction, but the size is small!!
Also, our dog is 7 months old and she has learned that she can hit the fence, the collar turns off, and she can then run thru the virtual fence. Maybe a modification of making that virtual fence red zone 15-20 feet would help, and not turning off the correction part of the collar so quickly.
Robin K.
We love many features, but I REALLY wish the battery life would last longer! Only makes it about 12 hrs. Other than that, it seems to work well.
Martha W.
We walked our boundary and set up the area where we want our pup to play. He is a 15.2 lb Cavapoo. We trained him on all sides of the area on the first day. He learned the beeps and has only gone as dar as vibrate a couple of times. He hates vibrate so now when he hears the beeps he comes back immediately. He saw a couple walking a dog on the road and started runnyng toward them. As soon as he heard the beeps he stopped and came back. He has had several good tests of the collar ad passed every one. We love it! Now he can run and play ball and frisbee. He loves it!! We are 100% pleased! I highly recommend this product!
Brent F.
We have been using the SpotOn collar for 3 months now so I will update this review after swim season is over. So far this collar has been amazing and the amount of freedom my dog has now is something I was not sure would even be possible.
This collar has been very accurate for us personally. I still sit outside with him while he is outside playing but I do not feel that we need to constantly watch my dog due to the accuracy. The training was beyond easy but my dog hates beeping sounds so others my find it tougher. Took about 5 days overall before he was fully off leash. Each day doing 30 minute walks and getting him used to the sounds the collar will make.
This collar has enhanced my dogs life considerably. I used to fear my dog getting loose before due to his drive to hunt and wander off. I trust this collar enough currently to not worry about my dog ending up on the highway that is 1/4 of a mile from our home. So if you are on the fence about purchasing this collar I would recommend making the purchase just to see if it works as well for you.

The Spot On GPS collar has been an ABSOLUTE GAME-CHANGER for us! This is actually our second collar we have ordered (we loved the first one so much, we decided to buy another one for our OTHER dog). We ordered our first one last year and can’t say enough good things about it. It honestly shocks me reading some of the negative reviews, because that has not been our experience at all (or other people we know that have these collars).
We have a farm on a busy road, and a LGD (Livestock Guardian Dog). We were struggling to find an affordable solution to keep our dog on our property, away from the road and visitors, while still allowing him the freedom to do his job (keeping our animals safe from predators). We needed a system that could encompass several acres of hay fields, pastures, forest and a deep ravine, that was reliable in any weather, could go around obstacles easily (buildings, driveways, trees, etc), and was affordable. We looked at different options, and did lots of research and eventually settled on the Spot On collar. While initially the price seemed high, when we compared the features it offered, the reviews from people we knew and trusted, and the benefits it gave us, versus what another system could do and would cost us, we decided to buy it and it was the best decision we could have made for our farm.
PROS:
-Set up was simple, the mobile app is convenient and user friendly;
-It works great on large dogs (we have a Great Pyrenees with a thick neck and a long coat of hair - we just separate the hair to make sure the prongs are making contact, and it works perfectly, and comes with two lengths of prongs to use);
- The collar is adjustable, and durable (it has been through the ringer with our LGD - soaked in water from rain or snow, been in freezing temps because our dog is outside all day, and has stayed securely on, even when he is wrestling with our other dog that always goes for his neck, or when he’s running through dense bush after a predator);
-It was so fast to train our dog on - took us only two days (one 20 minute session each day);
-He never gets shocked because he has a multi-stage warning system the closer he gets to the boundary line (first a noise, then a vibration, last is the shock);
-When I change fence boundaries, I don’t have to retrain him because he has such a large distance of warning before he ever approaches the shock point, so he automatically knows where the new line is;
-We never have to worry about weather impacting the collar in our Canadian winter (a buried Invisible Electric Fence can cut out once snow gets deep, and is susceptible to damage from rodents chewing through the lines);
-I can have multiple fences set up (saved in a library for fast access) and change the boundaries as many times as I want - invaluable to farmers with changing pastures or locations they need their dogs in;
-The collar has worked perfectly and precisely for us (and we’ve had our first one for a long time now), even during blizzards, freezing temps, when our dog has been in our metal-roofed barn, the thick forest or at the bottom of our deep tree-covered ravine;
-It has real-time tracking available - we can see where our LGD is at all times using the app on my phone, and I can pull up a report of where he has been to monitor where our heaviest predator loads are trying to access our property from;
-The fence is attached to the collar, so if we move, it goes with us - we never need to buy a fence again (this includes being able to use it for short trips to a cottage, family member’s house, vacation spot… we can set up a fence in seconds in whatever location we are in);
-FAVOURITE FEATURE: Keep-Out Zones - Best feature for farmers with LGD’s!!! I can have areas blocked off when I need it (the chicken coop, a pond or pool, the compost pile, the manure pile, the barn when the farrier or vet comes, an area when a customer comes to pick something up, etc). This came in so handy when we were building a coop and I wanted him to stay out of the way… 3 seconds and it was activated. When we were done, I just removed it. THIS FEATURE IS LITERALLY GENIUS!
-It has multiple levels of static correction we can choose from, so we can tailor it to our individual dogs.
-Long battery life each day (essential for a LGD) - we take his collar off each night to charge it (and during the day I can monitor in real-time how much battery life is left so we never get caught with a low battery level);
-Spot On had excellent customer service when I called with a question and they were very helpful.
CONS:
-We initially thought the price was a Con, but this system blows other cheaper systems out of the water with the features it offers, and it covers up to 1000 acres, so we could never install a wire fence or underground electric fence for anywhere close to the cost of this collar - which really makes it a PRO;
-If you have an LGD that is outside 24/7 (ours goes in the barn each night), it would be nice to have two collars so you could switch them out while charging the one (still cheaper than alternatives and worth it in my opinion for what this collar gives you);
-You need to buy a collar for each dog (that said, even buying a collar for all of our dogs will still be cheaper than installing an underground fence, and it can travel with us wherever we go).
This collar has been worth every penny for us, and it has completely changed how our LGD is able to protect our animals from an extensive predator load in the area (including coyotes, wolves, fox, black bears, etc), while keeping him away from the busy road we live on, visitor areas of our farm, and other off-zone areas of our choosing. If you are a dog owner, but more importantly, if you are a farmer looking for a way to revolutionise how you can operate your farm by containing your LGD to the areas you need, maximising their ability to do their job, minimising animal losses to predators, and making your day-to-day work easier with Keep-Out Zones that are fast and easy to create, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COLLAR ENOUGH!!!

Bought a second collar for my 1.5 years old, 60 lbs. dog. Just as easy to train her as my other dog who was 8 years old, 25 lbs. when I bought him a collar. Trained her everyday for about 20 mins just walking around the boundary leashed and introduced the correction at around one week. Really happy with this product and I recommended it to a neighbor whose dogs adventured out to my yard.
Robert L.
The Spot On collars have kept the dogs on the property. They had the freedom of 10 acres.
Kelly E.
Until i had the buzzer higher and the dogs knew what the signals meant - we were hesitant to trust the collars. We have GSPs and they need to RUN! We bought the collars because we have access behind our house to lake property that is public property and wanted the dogs to be able to play. We couldn't put an electric fence around that size lot for what we were able to get the collars for. I will say that the cell service isn't great at our property so its hard to call the dogs, track them as efficiently and turn the collar light on but it has been great for them to be tracked better than any other device we've looked at. Since we got the collars, they have not run off and are much happier and sleep so much better! So are we...

Overall! It works very well for our 1-year-old Boxador. Labrador/boxer mix. But she runs so fast that there was one incident that the satellite could not keep. up with her speed and she was instantly warned on her collar. The other is the collar is already showing scratches and wearing. It didn't take very long to train her with the boundaries. I like the SpotOn GPS collar.

The collar works great! We’ve used it at home and a few other places and haven’t had any issues with the boundaries. Only problem is it keeps coming off where you choose the size. It keeps popping off and we have to go outside and hopefully find it. Would suck to lose a 900$ collar.

The best piece on mind when my dog is loose around the house. I love knowing she will never leave the property again, and she is safe from cars on the road! She loves being loose and playing in the yard all day. Should of purchased this collar a year ago.

I just love this fence very easy to use. The app always keeps me informed very easy to train her to the fence took us two days since then she has tested the boundaries five times but for the past two or three weeks, she doesn’t go near the boundary. I would highly recommend This for your pet.

Loving this gps tracking collar for our dog we took in to teach him his boundaries.

Has worked great from day 1! We are very happy with it. Easy to set up and super effective!

I love this collar and it didn’t take Rylee long to understand the consequences when he gets in the warning area. Super happy with it.

We practiced diligently but didn’t see consistent results until we spoke with a trainer (30 minute free consultation) who advised us to tighten the large collar as far as it would go around our dog’s 20” neck. We probably should have ordered a medium size. Now he’s making rapid progress and we’re no longer considering returning the collar.

Raylan has completed the training and I am confident now to let her run free in the house range fence and also at my rover property fence. She is very happy, which makes me happy! Thank you Spot On!

Company is great in helping with set up. Tbe fa t that you can change fence as needed sith no hassel is super and no under ground wire to damage.

My wife and I purchased a new property. After looking into fencing 5 acres to make it dog proof we started looking at other solutions. Before at the old house we had the type of system that required running a wire around the property (the cost of the wire alone was expensive) also we would have problems with the wire getting broken from cows and it never failed every winter it would quit working. So when we stumbled on this system we started looking at reviews, YouTube videos and forums. We decided to make the investment and hoped it would be as good as it says.
The setup is very easy we used the app to set the boundaries. Takes a few min to get it figured out but not bad at all.
We don’t have it set to shock as our dog has bin trained with collars that had remotes, so she’s used to what the beep and vibration mean
We have the cell subscription, very worth your wile if you’re on the fence about it.
The system works very well you’ll revive an alert if your dog gets out immediately, it starts tracking them and shows you where they got out and where they are in relationship to your location for how long there out and where they get back in the boundary. Plus anyone you add to the app also gets the alert. Wife, kids anyone you have set to the system that could be watching the dog.
This system has exceeded our expectations, it just works well.
We highly recommend it and couldn’t be more pleased with it.
Also because you can set up multiple fences we use it at our friends place and camping.
Charging the collar is fast and it lasts from 6am to 10pm its down to 20% most days at 10pm.
Don’t notice any boundary drift most of the places we fence are large and really won’t notice if it did move a few feet.
Overall well worth the money (honestly it bin a while since a product has surprised us with quality and features like this)

We live on a farm and got a wirehaired pointer dog who loves to be outside to run around, explore and play! Since we have workers constantly driving up and down the farm we can’t have Shelby chasing them or have her getting into something she doesn’t need to. SpotOn was a lifesaver! We have the cellular plan and it works great to track. We have had SpotOn for 8 months. We’re on a second collar because the original one malfunctioned but the SpotOn team quickly responded and sent a replacement. There have been a couple of times where Shelby can’t contain her excitement and will leave the premises to chase her daddy when she sees his truck but for the most part she knows better. Here’s a video of her being a good girl watching her sister June across the boundary she can’t go across! I would highly recommend SpotOn!

We were using the Pet Safe wireless fence system that was sufficient but we only had a circle and the fence was partially on the neighbors yard on one side of the house and the fence was cut off on our property on the other side. No matter where we moved the unit it didn’t meet all of our needs.
Now we have spot on. I’ll be honest I was skeptical at first and very hesitant to spend the money. We are more than happy with this collar. We have created a perfect boundary for our house and it’s so easy to make little adjustments as needed. Right now we are on vacation and our pup is at a relatives house. Being able to set up and activate and deactivate fences is amazing and so easy. With the paid tracking portion I am able to see where my dog is from anywhere. And for the stubborn pups…the static correction is powerful when set at the highest setting.
Bottom line I am a believer in this collar.

I really like the GPS fence. It keeps my dog in a large (2 acres) yard without burying a wire. I have a creek in the yard and I’d like my dog to have access to the creek and to the yard across the creek. I was constantly repairing the wires crossing the creek.
However the tracking option doesn’t work as well as the fence. Being in a creek bottom, I don’t have good cell service without connecting my phone to a WiFi on my computer. The tracking feature won’t update.

I love the collars for my two outdoor dogs. It's gives them so much more room to run and play. It is also great that I can keep them put of certain areas of my property. The biggest downfall is the battery only lasts one day. So I either have to charge it at night or during the day, it does charge quickly but by the time I remember to do it they're off the collars for 10-12 hours.
Corrine
Works well, she is not leaving the yard, easy to set up and use

Great shipping, great product

After using the static correction just a couple of times with Rocky, he knows not to go past his boundary! It gives us a lot of piece of mind! He still likes to stay pretty close to Mom and Dad❤️
Carla D.
Him staying in his boundaries works great. The tracking option is hit and miss
Doug
Five months old Golden Retriever after three days of training Eva three times a day has learned her boundaries and understand she has three acres to roam
Zane C.
The collar won't stay connected to satellite and images it has to do with location. But I will be sending it back because it socks and rings my dog inside the set area.

We are living our Spoton collar & so is our dog!

Purchasing the SpotOn system has helped us give our dogs the best outside life ever. We find them running, playing chase and exploring over our 4 acre fence area.
Brant M.
Had it almost a month now and he has not left the fence. Only took couple days for him to learn his area. Having 23 acres it was a great investment

I’ve been using Spot On collars for about a year now. After doing a lot of research, I decided to try these collars for our two Sheppard/Malinois mix who roam our 40 acre property daily. We have a cattle fence, but the dogs can easily get through it in pursuit of a rabbit or coyote! After training with these collars, breaches of the perimeter have been eliminated, and I can easily locate them when needed. I had an early version of the collars which did have some teething issues. The charger pins were temperamental, and the early style battery packs became loose with use. I am very happy to say that both issues were resolved quickly and under warranty by very helpful and friendly customer service representatives! Yes, these collars are expensive, but they have performed extremely well, and served their intended purpose in protecting our beloved pups.

This system is a game changer!
I was at my wits end trying to contain my great Pyrenees, I walked him around the boundary over and over, exercised positive reinforcement but still wasn't getting the results I needed. After adding the Spot on collar and some gentle training, my dog was finally staying where he was supposed to!
We had one escape with coyotes but trimmed my dogs hair and tightened the collar and increased the shock intensity from 1 to 15 and haven't had any escapes
Finally I don't have to worry about my dogs whereabouts it also eliminates confusion in my dog because he now knows the boundary and respects it,
we are both a lot happier now
I would recommend this product

I love Spot on! It is very accurate and keeps my dog in the fence! Only negative is after leaving the fence the collar stops correcting and just tracks. My dog is a bit stubborn so I keep a separate collar on him so I can continue vibration until he returns. I highly recommend!!
Ellen
It works great, but there is an issue with the prongs and buckles falling off. This needs to be addressed in the design end, as I've had to go looking for this very expensive collar in the bush on my 80 acres. Luckily so far I've found it, but i will be very angry if it falls off and I can't find it.

Blown away by the performance of this collar! If you’re on the “fence” if you should choose Spoton over Halo, do yourself a favor and go with the best. Super easy to set up and train your dog to understand. Still can’t believe our 10 month GSP doesn’t cross the boundary to chase wildlife.
Peg R.
Our SpotOn Fence is working perfectly! It took a while to get the correct collar fit- but after that all went smoothly. All the SpotOn reps are patient and helpful- Thank you!

Over one month and no escapes. Our working line 2 year old GSD was completely ignoring the competitor's collar and escaping regularly. We love that she can safely wear the Spoton in the house as well as in her 6 acre yard. So far, the collar has been perfect. When she chases a deer, she feels the vibration exiting her yard and abandons the chase, so the static correction never occurs. GPS drift almost zero compared to the competitor's collar.

It seems to be working very well for me. My dog has made the adjustment from an invisible fence to the GOS collar. I made several adjustments to the roaming area. Overall, I am very pleased with Spot On.
Benjamin S.
Spot on works as shown keeps her in the fence. Could improve on clips that snaps the collar together already broken 3 times plastic back piece to weak.

We bought his collar for our English Cocker spaniel and couldn't be happier. She is the family baby but also an avid outdoor loving hunting dog. This has given us the freedom to hunt with her more freely with less concern and keeps her safe at home also. So far the collar has withstood the abuse of a hunting dogs life and given us more comfort at home.

Collar with long probes works great on male yellow lab. Gets to see all the farm now.
Jay B.
We have a yellow lab that is 2 years old! We got him this collar because he would travel a mile away from our house through the back fields! We trained him on this collar in 30 minutes and he never challenged the area We set up for him. We also bought the subscription incase he does leave so we can follow him on the GPS. The customer service for this product is unreal. We had 1 small issue with the collar and the sent a shipping label immediately all paid for and repair the collar better then it ever was and sent it back. I never received better customer support from any other company. This is by far one of my favorite products. Easy to use and works like advertised and customer support to help you along the way of needed! Thank you spot on!

We live in Canada, but product still arrived within a couple of days. I am not a techie person, and yetl everything was very easy to set up. Fence was paced off and set up and running within 20 mins. Our dog came from a property with a wired dog fence, so is familiar with the sound prompts. A few days of training on the new propertyand she has been perfect! Collar is larger than I expected (our dog is 20lbs) but she is not having a problem with it
Robyn
This is the second color we’ve bought (for our newest dog) and we love them so much! Gives us peace of mind that our dogs are close to home and safe. They also work so good! One of our dogs has a very high chase/prey drive. The collar stopped her exactly on our property line while she was chasing a fox!

Product is perfect for its purpose i wish i had a recall feature

We now live in a rural community on 18 acres and loving it I might add. Howdy is our first country dog and loves exploring. He also loves our neighbor that lives across the street. My concern of course is that he would wander off or get hit by a car when visiting our neighbor. We decided to purchase Spot On as we had a big area to cover. I was a little concerned that the tech involved in setting it up would be beyond me or my husband, however I found it very easy or ‘idiot proof’ as I like to say. So far we are extremely pleased with the results. He did break through once but that was during his training and on a low setting. I adjusted it up (still on the vibration setting) and have had no problems since. The only issue I have is with myself…I have forgotten to take off the collar at night to charge it a few times. So, I give a big thumbs up and a thank you to Spot On.

Spot On is Amazing! It has made such a difference in bot my and my dogs lives. Thank you. Brilliant Technology!

I rarely write reviews but this product is life changing. Everything worked as advertised beautifully. It took just 2 weeks to train my pup. During that time no outside time without on leash. We walked the perimeter a couple times a day so she understood. I have the correction set at level one and she has need to be corrected only 2 times. As soon as she hears the tone, she turns her right around. I can now let her in and out whenever she wants and not worry. All this, and made in the USA. Also, due to my own fault, I lost two of the prongs the first week and I contacted the company and they sent them right out to me at no cost great customer service!

SpotOn is hands down AMAZING!! There are several factors that sold me on SpotOn and actually WORK well. First is we live on a heavily wooded lot, however, there are no issues.
Secondly, I did not want a circular boundary area around a single point. I love the fact SpotOn allows you to draw your own boundary, which again WORKS very well. Thirdly, I love the fact you can create multiple fences to use on the go. While I haven't used this feature yet, I'm very excited as my family lives on a 50 acre farm which we visit often. Finally, I LOVE that I can track Kilo via the phone app while he's still within the boundary (or outside if he escapes).
We have two dogs, but bought the first collar (to try out) for our dog that used to escape and roam almost daily, Kilo who is a bordoodle (border collie doodle). We had a manual correction collar, however, as soon as we'd look away he'd bolt. I was very skeptical SpotOn would work for him, however, it did extremely well. He's escaped a few times, but only for seconds and comes right back. It used to be a constant worry with him, we had to be so vigilant watching him or else he'd run off. Now, we just let him out by himself and he never runs off, it's literally life changing!!!!!! I'm sure our neighbors are wondering what happened to the dog they used to see so often ;). I really can't say enough great things about SpotOn. We will DEFINITELY be buying another collar for our other dog.
